The effect of color evokes a certain feeling and affects behavior. Especially, an understanding and applying color are critical because well-designed color substantially contributes to quality and usability. In this study, the effects of three color components(hue, value, and chroma) on apparent warmth were investigated separately and relatively, and then feasibility of applying to the information display was examined. The result showed that the apparent warmth of 10 Hues was a U-shaped function declining from Red to Purple-Blue and increasing from Purple-Blue to Red-Purple with following order of color-circle. Chroma made the character of hues remarkably clear, so warm color becomes warmer and cool color becomes cooler if chroma gets higher. But value has no effect on warmth. These results propose that we can change the apparent warmth by varying chroma in the limitation of color use. And there was a sharp distinction between warm and cool color, Meanwhile, in the reading task of the graphical information, the subjects' judgment distortion overestimating or underestimating the actual degrees was ascertained. This result should be applied to control operator's sensitivity in accordance with the purpose of task and display.

실제 대부분의 가정용 전자제품은 동작하는 시간보다는 상용전원에 연결된 채 사용하지 않는 대기시간이 더 많다. 그 결과, 기존에 연구가 집중된 최대부하 상태에서의 효율에서 무부하 상태에서의 대기전력으로 관심이 집중되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 노트북 AC/DC 어댑터에 적용되고 있는 무부하 효율 향상 방법에 대해 간략히 살펴보고 현재 개발동향을 기술하였다.

This paper proposes a saturation compensating method by embedding pseudo-random code information in wavelet packet based colorization algorithm. In the color-to-gray process, an input RGB image is converted into YCbCr images, and a 2-level wavelet packet transform is applied to the Y image. And then, color components of CbCr are embedded into two sub-bands including minimum amount of energy on the Y image. At this time, in order to compensate the color saturations of the recovered color image during the printing and scanning process, the maximum and minimum values of CbCr components of an original image are also embedded into the diagonal-diagonal sub-band by a form of pseudo-random code. This pseudo-random code has the maximum and minimum values of an original CbCr components, and is expressed by the number of white pixels. In the gray-to-color process, saturations of the recovered color image are compensated using the ratio of the original CbCr values to the extracted CbCr values. Through the experiments, we can confirm that the proposed method improves color saturations in the recovered color images by the comparison of color difference and PSNR values.

This study was carried out to identify Hue, Value and Chroma (H, V/C) of silk fabric dyed with several kinds of Vegetable Dyes according to Munsell renotation system and to disclose the colour fastness of dyed silk fabric against washing and light. The Hue of dyed silk fabric which was in colour of yellow or yellow red, was differentially altered by kinds of Vegetable Dyes, the Value and Chroma (V/C) of that was uniformally lowered by treatments of mordants after dyeing. The Colour fastness to washing and light of dyed silk fabric was improved by mordanting with coppor sulfate or ferrous sulfate, as compared with unmordanting.
