  • The u-GIS national land information providing technology is the technology which maximizes the application of u- GIS data through the national land information platform technique of the next generation web and provides a user with the on-demand national land information in the ubiquitous environment. Recently, as the environment emphasizing the web as a platform 'Web 2.0' emerges, the where 2.0 which is paradigm is diffused in the spatial information area. And the Geo-spatial Web technology develops in a center. Moreover, it is changed to the open platform of the user participation trend. And the consumer of the geo-spatial information is changed to the end-user center from the public institution. The geo-spatial technique is technologically faced with the new challenge. In this paper, we analyze the technical tendency about a paradigm, And we present the u-GIS national land information platform technique, the u-GIS national land information visualization technology, the u-GIS national land information GeoDRM integrative technique, and the u-GIS national land information mobile application technology as the essential elemental technology for overcoming this.

A Study on Adaptive Multi-screen Service in Next Generation Smart TV System (차세대 스마트 TV 환경에서의 적응형 멀티스크린 서비스에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 차세대 스마트 TV 환경에서의 적응형 멀티스크린 서비스 시스템 구조를 제안하고, 이를 실제 스마트 TV 에 적용 가능하도록 프로토타입 시스템으로 구현한 결과를 보여준다. 제안 시스템은 적응형 콘텐츠 부호화 기술과 하이브리드 네트워크 전송 기술, 멀티스크린 서비스 발견 및 제어 기술을 포함하고 있다. 스마트 TV 를 중심으로 다양한 종류의 멀티스크린 장치가 연결되는 서비스 소비환경에 적응적인 콘텐츠를 제공하기 위해서 H.264/SVC 기반의 다계층 비디오 부호화/복호화 기법을 적용하였다. 또한, 다계층 부호화된 콘텐츠를 방송망과 인터넷 등 이종 멀티네트워크를 이용해 동시에 전송함으로써, 전송 대역의 가용성을 확장하는 하이브리드 네트워크 기반의 미디어 전송 기술과 UPnP 기반의 사용자 중심 멀티스크린 서비스 발견 및 이동기술을 제안한다. 기존의 멀티스크린 서비스가 단말의 소비환경에 비 적응적이고, 홈 네트워크 환경 및 플랫폼 폐쇄적인 환경에서 제공되는 단방향 멀티스크린 서비스인 반면, 본 논문에서 제안하는 적응형 멀티스크린 서비스 시스템은 네트워크 및 단말의 소비환경에 적응적이고 효과적인 웹 기반의 양방향 멀티스크린 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

  • 폐쇄적 무선망 및 단말 플랫폼의 개방화 추세에 따라 이동통신사업자(MNO)는 자사 고객 retention 및 신규 수익창출을 위해 다양한 전략을 수립하고 있다. 그리고 고객은 이러한 개방 환경에서 이동통신사업자(MNO)의 단말 및 망에 구애받지 않고 자신의 개인정보 및 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 서비스를 편리하게 이용하기를 원하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 와이브로(WiBro)가입자 인증을 위해 단말에 필수 탑재되는 UICC 에 웹 기능 및 대용량 메모리 기술을 추가하여 이를 기반으로 개인화 서비스 제공을 위한 인프라 구축 사례를 살펴본다. 먼저, UICC 기반 개인화 서비스 인프라를 구성하는 UICC 및 단말에서 구현되어야 할 SCWS 및 대용량 메모리 처리 기술을 소개하고 이를 위한 기술 요구사항을 정의한다. 그리고, 해당 UICC 및 단말을 원격에서 관리하기 위해 플랫폼에서 구현하여야 할 제어 프로토콜 기술을 살펴보고, 이를 위한 기술 요구사항을 정의한다. 다음으로 최종적으로 구축된 전체 시스템의 구성 및 서비스 흐름을 기술하고, 끝으로 이러한 인프라를 통하여 제공될 수 있는 개인화 서비스를 소개하고 향후 방향을 소개함으로써 글을 맺는다.

  • With a wide dissemination of smartphones, the number of native applications developed and sold freely by anyone is growing now. The application market activated by Apple's App Store is spreading more rapidly with Google's Google Play. But due to platform-dependent of native application's attribute, developers are programming at each platform. As a result, development cost is increasing compared to earnings. To solve a dependency problem, people focused on web application developed by web-based language. However, stores at each browser are requiring a web application to follow manifest format. And this causes browser-dependent problem. Those problems can be solved by installing a certain browser, but this can make an application useless on the other browser of a store. Dependency problem can narrow not only user's application variation, but also concentration on some specific store. OWS(Open Web Store) is a standard store that supports various web environments. It overcomes browser or platform dependency problems by interworking applications between stores. Also customers are able to choose a large number of applications. In this paper, related to OWS, I would like to suggest manifest standards and store's reference architecture. An interworking scenario is going to be proposed as well.

  • This paper reviewed the main characteristics of Web 2.0 and discussed the possible applications related to National Geographic Information Systems. In general, Web 2.0 refers to a next generation World Wide Web environment that let people participate and share information and data. The recent examples using Web 2.0 with geo-spatial information are convincing us apply Web 2.0 into National Geographic Information Systems. In order to imply Web 2.0 into National Geographic Information Systems, we should consider not only technological advancements related to providing the services but also shifting the relationship between information provider(government agencies) and end-users. In other words, new platform should be provided to users so that users can easily create, share, and mash-up data, which was previously managed and owned only by government agencies. Successful integration Web 2.0 platform into National Geographic Information Systems require some important points such that; 1) the consideration for the data should be changed from closed and agency owned data to opened and shared data. 2) data standards should be established to integrate all data from different sources. 3) real change need to be happened rather than different naming on the same system.

  • VoiceXML is a standard dialog mark-up language for the neat generation voice applications. The current VoiceXML 1.0 specification is silent on who place outbound calls for push-based voice applications. The push-barred voice applications become very important in modern information systems such as CRM. In this paper, we design and implement an extended VoiceXML platform that supports both inbound and outbound voice information services. We also extend the VoiceXML DTD so as to be able to inbound/outbound fax based on Call Control Requirements of W3C.

  • In order to improve user accessibility and interactivity, system scalability, service speed, and a non-standard internet web environment, we developed a Web-based geovisualization system of oceanographic information using HTML5 and dynamic particles. In particular, oceanographic and meteorological data generated from a satellite remote sensing and radar measurement and a 3-dimensioanl numerical model, has the characteristics of a heterogeneous large-capacity multi-dimensional continuous spatial and temporal variability, based on geographic information. Considering those attributes, we applied dynamic particles represent the spatial and temporal variations of vector type oceanographic data. HTML5, WebGL, Canvas, D3, and Leaflet map libraries were also applied to handle various multimedia data, graphics, map services, and location-based service as well as to implement multidimensional spatial and statistical analyses such as a UV chart.

  • As the increasing of requirement for safety navigation, IMO has enforced the mandatory installation of vessel AIS equipment by SOLAS regulation. The AIS transceiver broadcasts various vessel information which can be gathered by the receivers on-board or on-shore. And, recently, as web-based application developments on various devices have been increased, there are more and more requirements of AIS information presentation on internet. To meet these web-based application requirements, this paper shows the practical implementation of the AIS display system, which is on the Google maps as online commercial map and adopts the HTML5 as a web standard.

  • The next generation Web 2.0 users are requiring a screen that satisfies visual and emotional factors regarding UI and the possibility of constant recognition about various information. To actively deal with these kinds of user demands, dual cooperation between the developer and designer is becoming more urgently needed. For this, Microsoft released Silverlight, a tool for when making a web presentation that enables persons to create a visually stunning webpage using diverse platforms and function. We applied clarity and animation to existing windows concepts, using Silverlight with which designers and developers can work together and is accessable to many development tools, and provided 3D effects to implement a Warehouse Management System.

  • For the successful promotion about the NGN (Next Generation Network), centralized network control and management technology is required to guarantee QoS and Traffic Engineering. This paper describes SNMP. Web Services and Network Open Interface based connection management scheme which can be used in centralized server based network in which the control plane is separated from transport plane. We also constructed platforms about each of these connection management schemes and performed comparing and analyzing the performance of connection setup delays.
