Study on Fault Diagnosis Method of Train Communication Network applied to the prototype Korean High Speed Train (한국형 고속 전철에 적용된 열차 통신 네트워크의 고장 진단 기법에 관한 연구)

  • 한국형 고속 전철 과제는 6년의 과제 기간을 가시는 국가 연구 사업으로, 한국 실정에 적합한 차세대 고속 전철을 시험 제작하여 운용하는 것이 목적이다. 시속 350 km/h의 운행 속도를 목표로 하는 한국형 고속 전철은 현재 개발이 완료되어, 시험 주행 트랙에서 증속을 위한 시험 운행을 계속하고 있다. 한국형 고속 전철은 열차 내 각종 제어 장치들 간의 데이터 교환를 위해서 실시간 네트워크인 열차통신 네트워크(Train Communication Network; TCN)를 사용한다. 약 10년간의 표준 보완 기간을 거쳐서 1999년 국제 표준으로 확정된 TCN(IEC61373)은 열차 전용의 실시간 통신 네트워크로 열차 장치의 제어 및 진단에 적합한 다양한 기능과 특징을 가지고 있다. 한국형 고속전철은 열차의 주 제어 및 감시를 담당하는 주관 제어장치(SCU, Supervisory Control Unit)와 열차 안전에 중요한 역할을 하는 자동 열차 제어 장치(ATC, Automatic Train Control)을 포함하는 55개의 제어 장치들이 TCN으로 연결되어서 상호간의 데이터 교환을 수행하도록 구성되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국형 고속전철에 사용될 TCN의 구조와 실제 필드에 사용되어지기 위해서 필수적으로 필요한 네트워크의 고장 진단 기법에 대해서 설명한다.

Two Dimensional Numerical Study in Gangway of Next Generation High Speed Train For Reduction of Aero-acoustic Noise (차세대 고속전철 차량연결부의 저소음 형상설계를 위한 차량연결부의 2차원적 수치해석 연구)

  • As the preceding research for the design of gangway in the next generation high speed train, the aero-acoustic noise at the gangway is calculated. For this purpose, the shape of gangway with mud flaps is assumed as the two-dimensional cavity. Then, 5 gap sizes between mud flaps of gangway are selected and parametric study is performed according to the gap sizes. From this study, the aerodynamic features such as vortex shedding, pressure, etc. are computed. Also, the aero-acoustic properties of tonal noise and overall noise are analyzed at the 3 locations of microphone and the relation between the gap size of mud flap and the noise level is assessed. Through this study, it is shown that the noise characteristics of base and specific models are better than those of other models.

  • The next generation domestic high speed railway system is a power dispersed type and uses vector control method for motor speed control. Nowadays, inverter driven induction motor system is widely used. However, recently PMSM drives are deeply considered as a alternative candidate instead of an induction motor driven system due to their advantages in efficiency, noise reduction and maintenance. In this paper, the maximum torque control approach is presented for the IPMSM drives with reluctance torque. The applied control method uses maximum torque control per ampere technique. Simulation programs based on Matlab/Simulink are developed. Finally the designed system is verified by simulation and their characteristics are analyzed by the simulation results.

A Study on Conceptual Design for Crashworthiness of the Next Generation High-speed EMU (동력분산형 차세대고속전철의 충돌안전도 개념설계 연구)

  • Through this study, a conceptual design for the next generation high-speed EMU has been derived to meet the crash worthiness requirements of the Korean rollingstock safety regulation. The crashworthiness regulations require some performance requirements for two heavy collision accident scenarios; a train-to-train collision at the relative speed of 36 km/h, and a collision against a standard deformable obstacle of 15 ton at 110km/h. The complete train set will be composed of 2TC-6M with 13 ton axle load, which is different from KTX with the power car of 17 ton axle load. Using theoretical and numerical analyses, a crashworthy conceptual design was derived in terms of mean crush forces and energy absorptions for principal crushable structures and devices. The derived conceptual design was evaluated and improved using one dimensional dynamic simulations for the bar-spring-damper-mass model. It is shown from the simulation results that the suggested conceptual design can easily satisfy domestic crashworthiness requirements.

  • 한국에서의 철도는 1890년대 말 서울-노량진간(33 km)을 시속 20km/h로 1시간 30분에 주파한 이래 100여년이 지난 2004년 4월 1일 시속 300 km/h 의 고속철도시대를 개막하였다. 고속철도의 개통은 전국을 한나절 생활권으로 묶으면서 국민 생활 전반에 큰 변화를 가져올 것으로 기대된다. 지역균형 발전과 지역경제 활성화에 기여할 뿐만 아니라 사람과 물류의 이동시간을 단축시켜 운송 및 물류비용을 절감시키는 등 고속철도는 국토의 대동맥 역할을 담당할 신교통수단으로서 그 자리를 굳건히 할 것이다.(중략)

  • In this paper, The next Generation High Speed Railway Inverter system using RCF-PWM(Random Carrier Frequency Pulse Width Modulation) was developed to reduce electromagnetic noise. RCF-PWM method is randomized the switching frequency in the range between Semiconductor switching devices' maximum switching frequency and minimum switching frequency, Simulation program has been built using MATLAB/Simulink to verify the validity of study. Finally, the simulation results of Next Generation High Speed Railway inverter system using the RCF method was compared with the conventional SVPWM method.

  • In this paper, the pressure endurance test of passenger train's glass window which was developed for next high speed train was studied. At first, pressure test equipment which will be able to generate the maximum pressure same as crossing case between two trainsets in the tunnel was developed. Afterwards the pressure test and evaluation that are based on NFF31-314 were carried out and studied.

  • This paper shows a study on the "Korean High Speed Train Design" method, its design process and the result in the form of aerodynamic optimal exterior design development of a prototype test train(HSR 350${\times}$). It was developed from 1996 until 2002, six years long in R '||'&'||' D project titled "Development of High Speed Railway Technology" The end result of the project is a prototype test train, which has two power cars, two motorized trailers and three trailers, had been tested successfully in the year 2003 to the highest speed limit 380km/h on high speed line. The improved conceptual design work of a new commercial train and next generation's train is also performed for future needs.uture needs.

  • To predict efficiency of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) for traction motor and to cope with the risk of demagnetization in the permanent magnets, accurate iron loss analysis and understanding of the characteristic of the iron loss are very important at motor design stage. In this paper, we present the method to estimate the iron loss for the IPMSM considering the driving conditions such as both field weakening control and maximum torque per ampere control.
