The Study on Configurations and Interferences of differential gear unit for Light Rail Transit (경량전철용 차동기어장치의 구성 및 간섭에 관한 연구)

  • Because many light rail transit systems are mainly operated in the downtown areas of a large cities and the congestion areas, there are many steep gradients and sharp radius sections in that lines. As that reasons above, light rail vehicles are equipped with differential gear units between traction motors and final reduction gear units. In this paper, the configurations and the interferences of 2K-H I type Planetary gear train, which is applicable for light rail vehicles and based on various differential gear units, are studied. The ranges of addendum modification coefficients which would not lead to interferences is analyzed, and optimal addendum modification coefficients among these ranges are presented, which generate the maximum efficiency of planetary gear drives and differential gear unit as pressure angles, speed ratios,

  • The measurement of strain under an electric field has been widely employed to comprehend the fundamental principles of electro-mechanical responses in ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and electrostrictive materials. In particular, understanding the strain properties of piezoelectric materials in response to electrical stimulation is crucial for researching and developing components such as piezoelectric actuators, acoustic devices, and ultrasonic generators. This tutorial paper introduces the components and operational principles of the linear variable differential transducer (LVDT), a widely used displacement measurement device in various industries. Additionally, we present the configuration of an experimental setup using LVDT to measure the strain characteristics of ferroelectric, piezoelectric, or electrostrictive materials under the application of an electric field. This paper includes simple measurement results and analyses obtained through the LVDT experimental setup, providing valuable information on research methods for the electro-mechanical interactions of various materials.

  • 일반적으로 건설중장비에 쓰이는 주행용 감속기의 종류에는 차동유성기구(Differential Planetary Drive), 2단유성기구(Two Stage Planetary Drive), 3단유성기구(Three Stage Planetary Dnive)가 있으나 전체적인 감속기의 성능 및 특성에 대해서는 자세히 알려져 있지않아 주행시스템의 국내개발이 미흡한 상황에 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점의 1차적 해결책으로서 주행장치에 채용될 Heavy Duty용 유성기어 감속기를 차동유성기구 한개 모델과 2단유성기구 두개 모델을 시제품으로 제작하여 종류별로 동력전달효율과 감속기 내부 온도상승의 관점에서 그 성능을 비교 분석하여 각각의 특성을 제시하였다.

  • 최근 IEC61850 기반의 변전소 자동화 시스템의 구축이 국내 외적으로 활발히 진행되고 있다. 국내에서는 한국전력공사를 중심으로 총 3차의 시범사업을 진행하였고, 현재 4차 시범사업을 추진 중이다. 2005년 한국전력공사 주관으로 수행중인 연구과제의 성과물로 송전선로 보호용 IED를 제외한 보호, 제어 IED의 국산화가 완료되어, 외산 IED와 함께 4차 시범사업에 활용되고 있다. 그러나 현재까지 국내에서 추진되고 있는 변전소 자동화 시스템은 스테이션버스 레벨의 시스템이며, IEC 61850기반 프로세스버스 레벨의 시스템 구축을 위한 연구는 아직 진행중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 프로세스버스 레벨의 송전선로보호를 위해 선행되어야 할 문제점에 대해 논하고, 그 중 차동보호계전에 필요한 프로세스버스 기반의 위상각 차 보상장치 및 방법을 제시한다.

  • Continuously variable transmission(CVT) mechanisms are proposed, which can offer a backward mode, a geared neutral, an underdrive mode and an overdriver mode. They are not required of a starting device as a torque converter. CVT mechanisms developed here present two distinct operating modes which are a power circulation mode and a power split mode. The transition of two modes takes place at the particular CVU speed ratio. For these CVT mechanisms, performance analysis related to speed ratio, power ratio and theoretical efficiency are executed.

  • Continuously variable transmission(CVT) mechanisms considered here combine the functions of a 2K-H I type differential gear unit and a V-belt continuously variable unit(CVU). One shaft of the V-belt CVU is connected directly to the differential gear unit and remaining shaft of it is linked to the output shaft. These mechanisms have many advantage which are the decrease of CVT size, the increase of overall efficiency, the extension of speed ratio range, and the generation of geared neutral. In this paper six different mechanisms of output coupled type CVT are proposed. Some useful theoretical formula related to speed ratio, power flow and efficiency are derived and analyzed, and theoretical analysis are proven by various experiments.

  • The typical hydraulic system of hoist is composed of a hydraulic supply unit, a directional control valve, counter balance valve, and flow control valves. The flow capacity coefficients of flow control valves should be adjusted so that the hoist is operated at moderate speed and the hydraulic energy loss is minimized. However, it is difficult to adjust the flow coefficients of flow control valves by trial and error for optimal operation. Here, the steady state model of the hoist hydraulic system including the differential cylinder circuit is derived and the optimal flow capacity coefficients of flow control valves are obtained using the complex method that is one kind of constrained direct search method.

  • A new tooth profile which is adjusted on the amount of addendum modification factor is proposed for reducing vibration and noise of gears. The transmission error of the new profile can be designed more uniformly than that of the standard involute profile. The basic concepts of tooth profile modification are to reduce the load in contact area and to find the appropriate profile modification factor for operation condition. In this study, gears were estimated to constructive safety of bending strength and contact strength durability by using ROMAX program, and were compared with results by design formula of AGMA standard.

  • 본 논문에서는 GPS 수신기를 이용하여 송전선 양단에 설치되어 있는 전류차동계전기들의 전류샘플링을 동기시키는 방법을 제안하고, 이를 이용한 전류샘플링 동기장치의 개발에 대해 설명 한다. 송전선 양단의 GPS 수신기들에서 만들어지는 서로 동기된 IPPS신호들을 이용해 샘플링 동기신호를 만들어 주고, 이를 이용해서 서로 동기된 전류샘플링이 적당한 계수값 지정과 함께 이루어지도록 A/D변환기와 메모리 그리고 프로그램형 논리 소자를 사용한다. 샘플링 동기신호를 만들어주기 위해서 GPS수신기와 10MHz발진기를 이용한 디지털 위상잠금회로(DPLL, Digital Phase- Locked Loop)를 구성 한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 전류샘플링 동기방식은 통신을 이용한 기존의 방식에 비해 계전기의 계산부담을 덜어주고 보다 정확한 샘플링 동기를 얻을 수 있게 한다.

  • Continuously variable transmission(CVT) combined differential gear unit has many advantages, which are the decrease of CVT size, the increase of overall efficiency, the extension of speed ratio range, and the generation of geared neutral. It is known that such CVT can be classified into the input coupled type and the output coupled type according to the coupling location of continuously variable unit(CVU). In this paper, six different configurations of input coupled type CVT combined V-belt CVU and 2K-H I type differential gear unit are proposed. Some useful theoretical formula related to speed ratio, power flow and efficiency are derived and analyzed. The propriety of derived formula and theoretical analysis are proven by various experiments.
