  • One of the main problems of today's ubiquitous computing systems is that they do not meet their quality requirements. Prior studies had investigated quality factors that were important to users regardless of use contexts. However, mobile computing services such as mobile data services (MDS) are fundamentally different from traditional information systems (IS) because it has been used in various life contexts. We conducted a qualitative study to identify important quality factors on various contexts in MDS. The results show that important quality factors in mobile computing services are differentiated from important quality factors in information systems.

  • As the need for software development manpower increases, various educational programs appear and the popularity of bootcamp style education program for software development increases. However, despite the operations and forms of bootcamp education programs are completely different from the existing software development education programs, there is a lack of research in understanding bootcamp as a software education program. Therefore, this study tried to derive the core elements of the education program through a case study on bootcamp software developer education program. After conducting interviews of 7 members who have completed a series of bootcamp software developer education program X, seven characteristics of bootcamp-type software development education program were derived: intensive theory education, sense of growth and achievement, team project-based learning, community characteristics, peer pressure, stress and fatigue due to short-term learning, and contact-free specialty. Based on the derived characteristics, the advantages and improvements of bootcamp-type education were described, and the direction of the bootcamp-type education program for software developer was discussed.

  • This paper examines inquiries generated in three different online educational programs in Korea at the secondary educational level. Data covers 12,023 inquiries recorded during the first semester of 2019 and the compared groups among three programs are divided by four criteria: its type, period, inquirer, and the way of response. Statistical comparisons using Chi-square test suggest that there are significant differences in frequency rates of inquiries among three programs. First, 'Program A' has more inquiries by student themselves, mostly in the middle of the semester about the contents. Second, inquiries are more frequent for 'Program B' by the coordinating teachers about system-related or evaluation-related questions, either at the beginning or the end of the semester. Third, in the case of 'Program C', parents of health-impaired students are the main inquirers who ask admin-related questions at the beginning of the semester. With respect to the way of response to inquiries, more than 95% of inquiries are answered immediately for all three programs. These quantitative findings are also supported qualitatively, by face-to-face interviews with operators of the three programs. Results of this paper can be used for educational practitioners and experts when they design and operate the customized online educational programs with different purposes and different target-students in the future.

In addition, the reporters who work for KBS, MBC, and SBS were Interviewed. All journalists who have been worked more than 5 years at the politic department were selected as interviewees. Thus, Intensive interviews are prime source of this study. Based the result of the research, gotcha journalism is externally derived from obsessive interest of Korean people to politics. Internally, it is easy to report happening or mistakes rather than big argument or ideological agenda of the politicians as news for journalists and to catch readers. In addition, the competition with advertising income accelerates this situation. And gotcha journalistic reporting behavior or attitude highly relates to political propensity of the newspapers or broadcastings. Especially some of the newspapers take gotcha journalism as a political struggling tool. It is appeared that another major cause for gotcha journalistic reporting behavior is customer-driven news production.
