The Effect of Preferred Music Listening on Police Officers' Occupational Stress and Fatigue (선호음악 감상이 경찰공무원의 직무스트레스와 피로 감소에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect that preferred music listening had on police officers' occupational stress and fatigue. The musical intervention took place over a total of six sessions from October 11 to October 19, 2016. At each session, the experimental group (n = 19) received 20 minutes of music listening with individually customized playlists that were compiled based on their preferred music list. The control group (n = 21) simply took a break from work for 20 minutes. Every participant checked his or her occupational stress and fatigue level before and after the experiment using the Occupational Stress Inventory and Subjective Symptoms of Fatigue Test. The data were then analyzed by the SPSS 22.0 statistics program. To examine the homogeneity and pretest-posttest results between groups, an independent t test was conducted, and a paired t test was used to examine the pretest-posttest results within groups. The results confirmed all hypotheses. Findings support that the use of preferred music listening is an effective way to help police officers to control their occupational stress and fatigue. This study used a convenience sample and has limited generalizability. Future research should explore interactive approaches in music therapy as well as receptive music listening for alleviating police officers' occupational stress and fatigue.

  • 어린이들이 자라나면서 인지지능발달도 중요하지만 현대를 살아가는 훌륭한 성인으로서 성장하여 사회나 조직 속에서 보다 성공적인 삶을 살아가려면 정서지능의 발달은 매우 중요하다. 어린이의 정서지능발달이 농촌체험을 통해서 이루어진다면 농촌측면에서 1석2조의 효과를 가져올 수 있는 것이다. 도시의 어린이들이 농촌체험을 하면서 정서지능을 키워갈 때, 우리 농촌에서는 농촌과 농업의 중요성을 알리고, 체험소득을 얻을 수 있기 때문이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목표는 농촌체험의 정서지능 향상 효과를 구명하는데 있다. 연구방법은 서울시 교육청에 지원학교 가운데 1개 학교를 선정하였으며, 대상학교의 5학년 2개 반 아동 중에 체험지원 아동 30명을 실험집단으로 선정하고, 같은 학교 같은 학년 1개 반 아동 30명을 비교집단으로 선정하였다. 조사도구는 청소년용 EQ검사 척도를 활용하였으며(문용린, 1999), 전혀 그렇지않다(0점)부터 매우 그렇다(4점)까지 총 40개 문항으로 구성되었다. 자료수집방법은 실험집단과 비실험집단 학생을 대상으로 사전 및 사후 질문지 120부가 활용되었다. 분석방법으로는 평균, 표준편차, 공분산분석, 독립표본t-검증, 대응표본t-검증이 활용되었다. 적용 체험프로그램은 초등학생을 대상으로 총 9회차로 포도이야기, 참새와 방앗간, 버섯따기 체험, 고구마 캐기, 허브도감만들기 등과 같은 농촌체험프로그램을 실시하였다. 연구결과 실험집단과 비실험집단에 대한 사전 정서지능 측정에서는 실험집단과 비교집단의 정서지능이 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 농촌체험프로그램을 실시한 후 사후검사에서는 실험집단(99.76)이 비교집단(97.79)보다 정서지능이 높게 나타났다. 실험집단의 정서지능의 농촌체험프로그램 사전 및 사후 결과 정서지능이 총점이 평균 7.08 정도 향상된 것으로 나타났으며, 정서지능에 사전 및 사후 결과의 평균을 하위 영역별로 살펴보면 '정서인식'이 1.76, '사고촉진'이 3.32, '정서지식'이 2.40정도 향상되었다. 하지만 비교집단의 정서지능은 사전과 사후간의 유의한 차이가 없어서 정서지능의 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 농촌체험프로그램을 지속적으로 9회 실시한 후 사전 및 사후 정서지능 검사에서 체험집단이 비체험집단보다 6점이나 더 높게 나타나 농촌체험을 통하여 정서지능 향상에 효과 있음이 구명되었다. 이 결과를 토대로 농촌체험은 정서 지능향상에 효과를 주고 있다고 할 수 있다. 앞으로 이러한 결과가 우리 농촌관광마을이나 체험농장에 홍보자료로 활용되었으면 한다.

An Influence of Using Open-ended Problems in Ability-Level Activities on Academic Achievement of Mathematics (개방형 문제를 활용한 수준별 학습이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of using open-ended problems in ability-level activities in mathematics instruction and to draw some informative conclusions in order to improve the practice of teaching and learning mathematics in the elementary school. To fulfill the purpose, the research questions were established as follows: 1. Is there any difference between the academic achievements of the experimental group(doing ability-level activities using open-ended problems) and the control group(doing general ability-level activities)? 2. Which sub-group(grouped by achievement score in pretest) get affected most by ability-level activities using open-ended problem in the experimental group? 3. What kinds of responses do students show in their ability-level activities using open-ended problems? By applying t-test and analysing the response, the conclusions were drawn as follows: First, using open-ended problems in ability-level activities has positive effects on the academic achievement of the experiment group. The mean of posttest scores of the experiment group was statistically meaningfully higher(p<.05). Second, using open-ended problems in ability-level activities affect most to the achievement of lower sub-group in the experiment group. The mean of posttest scores of lower sub-group in the experiment group was statistically meaningfully higher than that of control group(p<.05). Third, students showed various and creative response in their ability-level activities using open-ended problems.

한국 해외직접투자기업의 전략적 통제에 관한 연구 -내부자원 상호의존성,과업환경불확실성,해외직접투자회사 소유지분을 중심으로-

  • 범세계적 환경에서 시스템 전체가 대응하는 단일조직으로 국제기업의 기본 틀을 유지하면 서 해외자회사를 효율적으로 통제하는 것은 국제기업의 의사결정과점에서 고려되어야 할 중요한 과제이다. 또한 한국기업의 국제화가 성숙되고 있는 현시점에서 볼 때 진출초기단계의 의사결정문제에서 벗어나 실행된 투자에 대한 사후 관리적 측면에 대한 연구의 필요성이 증 가하고 있다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구는 한국기업 해외자회사를 대상으로 모-자회사간의 의 사결정과정에서 발생되는 자원준거요인, 상황요인, 해외직접투자 요인에 의한 전략적 통제문제에 관해 실증 분석하였다. 연구의 분석결과, 모회사와 해외자회사 내부자원의 상호의존성이 높으면 높을수록 해외자 회사에 대한 모회사의 전략적 통제는 높을 것이라는 가설검정결과, 고통제집단의 경우, 재무 마케팅 기술 국제경영능력으로 측정된 내부능력에 있어 모두 높은 정의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 분석되었고, 저통제집단의 경우 국제경영능력을 제외한 3개 부분에서는 상관관 계를 보이지 않아, 연구가설의 이론적 예상을 부분적으로 반영하고 있다. 둘째, 해외자회사의 과업환경의 불확실성이 높을수록 해외자회사에 대한 모회사의 전략적 통제는 낮을 것이라는 가설검증결과, 환경의 불확실성이 높은 집단이 낮은 집단 보다 인사 마케팅 생산 재무 등의 4개 부문 모두에서 상대적으로 모기업의 통제가 낮게 나타났지만 생산부문은 통계적으로도 유의하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 과업환경의 불확실성이 높을수록 모회사의 전략적 통제는 낮다는 이론적 예상을 부분적으로 반영하고 있다. 셋째, 해외자회사의 소유지분과 전략적 통제사이에는 유의 적인 상관관계가 존재할 것이라 는 가설의 검증결과는, 마케팅 분야에서만 완전소유 자회사가 다수소유 자회사보다 모회사의 통제의 정도가 상대적으로 높은 것으로 나타났지만 통계적으로 유의하지 않게 나타났다.

The Effects of Guided Imagery Activities Using Music on Mood States, and Physiological Responses of Psychiatric Inpatients (음악을 사용한 지시적 심상이 입원 정신질환자의 기분상태 및 생리적 변화에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of guided imagery activities using music on both mood states and physiological responses of psychiatric inpatients. The experimental group was consisted of 27 psychiatric patients participating in the guided imagery activities using music for 11 minutes. Also, the control group was formed with 27 psychiatric patients with non-musical intervention. Mood states, blood pressure, pulse and skin temperature were checked before and after session. We could see the significant difference in the score of five areas-tension, depression, anger, vigor, fatigue-showed most differences in score. Also, the score of skin temperature of both experimental group and between two groups showed significant differences, too. Therefore, we can conclude that these results were showing that guided imagery activities using music was an effective nursing intervention method for altering mood state of psychiatric patients. Besides, it seemed to have physiological impact to make patients relax tension backed up by change of skin temperature.

A Improvement Plan for Fire Fighting Activity of Rack- Type Warehouse Based on Case Study and Field Interview (사례분석과 현장인터뷰를 통한 적층형 대형창고 소방활동 개선방안 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to suggest a systematic improvement plan for strengthening fire fighting ability of domestic rack- type warehouse buildings. Method: A fire case of small warehouse with sandwich panel structure and four design review of large warehouse with fire endurance structure were analyzed. Also, interviewed a group of 11 fire fighters who had 20 years field experience. Results: A provision of mobile equipment for initial fire fighting, accessibility of more than three sides, installation of internal entrance windows, proper placement of outdoor fire fighting equipment, image processing of fire site informations, and provide more incentives on the field commander are main factors of improvement plan. Conclusion: Effective standard operation procedures (SOP) and safety standards should be established and applied for each stage of the dispatch and on-site response considering the fire characteristics and risk factors of each warehouse by scale.

  • 최근 새로운 플랫폼과 인터넷 환경의 급속한 변화로 인해 소프트웨어가 다양화되면서 보안 위협도 나날이 증가하고 있어 보안 취약점에 대한 효과적인 대응 방안 마련이 주요 쟁점으로 대두되고 있다. 해외 주요 소프트웨어 벤더사의 경우 보안 취약점에 체계적으로 대응하기 위해 설계 단계에서 보안을 적용하는 사례가 알려져 있지만 해외와 국내 소프트웨어 개발 생태계의 환경적 차이점으로 말미암아 동일한 방식을 일률적으로 적용하는 것은 많은 어려움이 따른다. 이번 논문에서는 기업 제품의 보안 취약점을 개선하기 위한 국내외 사례를 통해 소프트웨어 개발 시 설계에서 배포단계까지 각 단계별 취약점 발굴 활동의 유용성과 배포 후 취약점 발굴 인력의 집단지성을 활용하는 보안 취약점 보상제도의 동향에 대해 설명하고자 한다.

Welfare Science and Technology Responsive to Ageing (고령화에 대응하는 복지 과학기술)

  • This paper explores into the potential contribution of welfare science and technology(WST) to meeting the challenges of ageing. Drawing on the literature about gerontechnology, this paper considers the application of scientific knowledge for welfare of an aging population. WST for the improvement of the daily functioning of the elderly people can not only prevent, delay or compensate for the declines or impairments of coginitive and physical functions (by assistive technology) but also enhance personal ability to overcome problems either by supporting the person's abilities (by supportive technology) or by changing the environment (by public welfare technology). This paper draws attention to a paradigm change in the conceptualization of disability and its ramifications for the role of technology and aging. A range of approaches such as Barrier-Free design, Universal Design points to new directions of WST in which products and services are devised to improve the quality of life for all people, and hence enhancing the socio-economic vitality. It is suggested that the future of welfare science and technology will be based in large measure on its goal to reduce or prevent individual and structural lag in the relationships between people and their environments. Addressing issues of the broader physical and social environment will emphasize the goal of prevention and the view that environmental needs for aging population are changing over time.

Effects of Polar Literacy Education Program for Elementary and Middle School Students (초·중학생 대상 극지 소양 교육 프로그램의 효과)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of a polar literacy education program for elementary and middle school students, and to derive implications for new education to respond to climate change. We developed modular education programs based on the seven principles of polar literacy established by the Polar-ICE team. We divided them into two courses, one emphasizing science concepts and another emphasizing humanities and sociological issues. We then selected and structured detailed programs suitable for the two courses. These two courses were applied to 26 elementary and middle school students for approximately 69 hours in a Saturday science class hosted by the Department of Science Education at a university in Seoul. The 26 students were divided into three groups. Two groups completed the science education program for polar literacy and a humanities and social studies education program for polar literacy, respectively. The third group, the control group, received general science education unrelated to polar literacy. Before and after running the programs, all three groups responded to a polar literacy test and questionnaires that used vocabulary and presented scenes associated with polar regions. The test results were expressed using Wilcoxon signed ranks, which is a non-parametric test method, and improvements made upon completion of the program were analyzed. From a cognitive aspect, all three groups showed improvement after completing the program in the knowledge area; however, the experimental groups showed a greater degree of improvement than the control group, and there was a clear difference in the contents or materials explicitly covered. From an affective aspect, the difference between before and after the program was minor, but the group that focused on humanities and social issues showed a statistically significant improvement. Regarding changes in polar imagery, the two experimental groups tended to diverge from monotonous images to more diverse images compared to the control group. Based on the above results, we suggested methods to increase the effectiveness of polar literacy education programs, the importance of polar literacy as appropriate material for scientific thinking and earth system education, measures to improve attitudes related to the polar region, and the need to link to school curriculums.

A Study on the Natural Mapping between Burner and Switch of Gas Range by Color coding (가스레인지에 있어서 칼라코딩을 통한 버너와 스위치의 자연적 대응에 관한 연구)

  • People store information not only in their Drain but also material things. Norman called it knowledge in the world. The general way to store the information is to paste labels. 4 burner gas range force user to make conceptual model between burner and switch to see labels. but those are cognitive stress. Norman suggested spatial analogies for natural mapping between display and control. However the way of his methods in spatial analogies was not compatible with kitchen atmosphere. To solve those problems 1 suggested color coding . This study hypothesized that the mapping between burner and switch is realized by color coding. To testy the hypothesis 1 compared A group using general gas range with B group using color coded gas range. The result showed difference between A and B in accuracy ( F (1, 38) = 17.892, p < 0.01) and response time ( F (1, 38) = 6.726 p < 0.05). The result of this test is to certify that color coding affect peoples by presenting the difference accuracy and response time. As result this study presents that color coding can be compatible the product having importance to certify in the design process.
