  • As past paradigm discussion was restricted to the political issues and related antagonistic ideologies, there are desires to reignite discussion from the concrete theological practices and differences in methodological variations. Interactive Study does not require mere antithesis phase but requires interactive study creation as phase itself. The purpose of this study is to analyze quality methodology cases, and to provide basic data for the application of the methodology. For this purpose, current Journalism and Mass communication discussions will be examined and characteristics of quality study and traditional methodology types will be scrutinized. In further, researches in the scientific journals of Korean Association for Communication and Information Studies will be analyzed to point out trend of quality methodology. The scope of analysis includes theological background and methodology, sampling method, data collecting method, reliability analysis. Appliance of quality research method requires more rigid and detailed methodological discussions and applications.

  • This study is a qualitative case study of 5 substance abusers recovered from drug addiction. It is useful socially and practically to understand about the rehabilitation and its process of recovering from drug addiction. Since this study deals with very private and sensitive issues, qualitative research approach is suitable. Data were collected through one to one in-depth interviews, and were analyzed by using analysis within/cross cases suggested by Creswell(2007). 5 individual cases were presented including substance addicts experiences and recovery process through within-cases analysis. Based on the within-cases analysis, common themes were presented through cross-cases analysis. Total 19 themes, related with recovery from substance addicts, were derived from the five individual cases, and 4 common themes were classified. These 4 common themes were first, recovery of sense of reality, second, taking self-existing pattern, third, self reconstruction in the context of social network, fourth, self-love. Based on the study results and discussions, practical implications were suggested to help persons claiming recovery from substance addicts for their recovery and rehabilitation.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate about exploring diversity of methodology in security research focused on the current status and applications of qualitative inquiry. Expenses to take advantage of a variety of qualitative research techniques in the field is divided, and explore the possibility of applying the security research. Expenses compared to quantitative research, qualitative research on the utilization is very low, and to perform a qualitative study in-depth interviews focused on morphological aspects of research and a paucity of practical deep and lacks specificity. Expense of qualitative research in various fields is presented challenges to Creswell(1998, 2007, 2013) proposed five kinds of qualitative research types narrative research, phenomenological research, grounded theory research, ethnographic research, case study research, look for it in the security field. • The aim of this study is to examine the limits and problems of researchers that appear in the papers of applied qualitative research by phenomenological methods. Using phenomenological methods in the field of Pedagogy, pedagogical phenomenology is not to approach pedagogical issues that are closely related to human life through scientism or positivism, but to explain them in things themselves. The problem, however, is that cases misunderstood and distorted in the essential meaning of phenomenology are happening as domestic researchers are applying pure phenomenology(the philosophical phenomenology) to the field of phenomenology of practice(the pedagogical phenomenology). Especially, these researchers show some errors caused by lack of basic understanding about research logic and research techniques in qualitative research methodology. Thus if a researcher carry out a qualitative study by using phenomenological methods, she or he needs insights in analysing and interpreting the essence of the various phenomena appearing from the participants by comparing in with her or his own lives.

  • Human resource management (HRM) deals with essentially complex human phenomena and multiple interactive relationships. Thus, the use of quantitative data to research and understand HRM is necessarily limited. Although important qualitative issues in HRM research are often central to supporting or creating a firm's competitive advantage, they are frequently neglected. Research into HRM is increasingly difficult and complicated, therefore, it is very difficult to research through strict quantitative methods. This paper's focus is to develop an effective idea for applying qualitative research approaches to HRM studies. A justification of a qualitative approach is considered as being a superior means for researching HRM issues. The underlying foundation of this paper is that new problems are confronted HRM research, therefore, qualitative research methods will be necessary. It is suggested that quantitative analysis in understanding and explaining firm's HRM is not sufficient and a qualitative may provide the indepth insight into HR researches.

  • This study is a clinical single case study of the application of Theraplay approach for the treatment of children with eating disorder based on Polyvagal Theory. The first research question is how children with eating disorder change through Theraplay. The second research question is to analyze what the therapeutic factors are for changes in children with eating disorder. To do this, I used a qualitative case study method that explores a small number of cases closely and reveals the case deeply. As a result, the client has a sense of security in Theraplay session, expands the window of tolerance and develops a social engagement system. Through these, client become increasingly adaptable and overcome eating disorder. The results of this study can contribute to neuroscience validation of the counseling effect.

  • This study was on autobiographical traditions, in particular, autobiographies of teachers. First, autobiographical method was suggested as a kind of qualitative inquiry on the teaching mathematics. Second, as a case of autobiographical method, autobiographies of an elementary school teacher were presented. In the case, the author of autobiographies was also a researcher. It showed the struggles of elementary school teacher to know and to practice her teaching mathematical patterns. Autobiographies of teachers can be used as good sources for reflection of teachers, and also as a method for teachers education. And then, for communicating with teaching strategies among teachers in communities, they can be used. One the other hand, autobiographies of teachers can be powerful materials for researches on teaching.
