Qualitative Approach on Family Resource Management : Individual Families' Understanding and Management on Economic Crisis (주부의 가정자원관리에 대한 질적 접근: 경제위기에 대한 개별가정의 이해와 대처)

  • In Korean society, a housewife and mother often plays the role of family resource manager. In 2008, the newly appointed Korean government proposed a new direction in social policies, including family policy, that is, "active social welfare". According to "active social welfare", family policy focuses on a preventive policy and a family needs-oriented policy. In other words, newly established family policies should reflect parents' needs in their family resource management. In this economic downturn, family policies should be established to satisfy parents' needs to overcome their own family's economic crisis. This study focuses on policy recipients' real voices and their needs: they need the government's help supporting their efforts to overcome the economic crises within their families.

An Analysis on Research Performance in South Korea Using h-index (h-지수를 활용한 우리나라의 연구성과 분석)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라의 연구 성과를 양적 측면과 질적 측면에 대해 계량정보학적으로 분석하는 것을 그 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 2013년 7월 22일 Web of Science SCIE(Science Citation Index Expanded)에 색인된 우리나라와 일본, 중국, 인도, 호주 논문을 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우리나라의 SCIE급 논문의 생산성은 연평균 약 18.1%로 매우 가파른 성장세를 보였다. 둘째, 2013년 현재 2007년에 발표된 우리나라의 논문은 인용절정기를 지나 단 한 차례도 인용 받지 않은 논문의 비율이 가장 낮게 나타났으며 2007년 이후 출판된 논문들은 그 비율이 점차 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, "h-지수" 안에 포함된 논문의 경우는 인용절정기를 지나더라도 지속적으로 인용을 받음으로 인해 출판 후 약 10년에 걸쳐 "h-지수"가 증가할 수 있음을 밝혀냈다. 넷째, 우리나라는 중국, 인도와 함께 양적 성과에 비해 질적 성과는 아직 미흡한 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구는 공공도서관과 이용자 간 커뮤니케이션 채널인 민원을 청원/건의와 불만표현의 두 가지 성격을 지닌 행위로 이해하고, 영향을 미치는 요인을 도출하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 질적방법론에 기반하여 6명의 공공도서관 이용자를 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 그 결과 민원에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 물리적 조건, 서비스 적절성, 장서 적절성, 소통빈도 및 방향성등을 도출하였다. 이러한 민원의 기능적, 관계 구조적 요인의 도출을 통해 도서관민원의 만족도 제고를 위한 기능개선 도구로서 뿐만 아니라, 도서관과 이용자간의 양방향 소통채널의 하나로 도서관에 대한 인식 제고의 도구로서의 가능성을 논의하였다.

지방정부 간 자율적 행정구역 통합의 성공요인 탐색: 퍼지집합 질적비교분석(fsQCA)의 적용

  • The purpose of this paper is to find out the set of the factors influencing on the successful voluntary consolidation among local governments. This paper considers the voluntary consolidation as a kind of coordination mechanism and institutional collective action process between local governments, and identifies the configurations of the causal factors influencing the voluntary consolidations by applying the fuzzy-set analysis. It is found that the sets of the causal factors which include political and economic homogeneity factors in the region, and interlocal political, economic, and social homogeneity factors, and prior consolidation experience between regions have positive effects on the consolidations. Also, it turns out that interlocal homogeneity and conformity between regions should be considered significantly for institutionalization which supports the consolidation between local entities.

An Exploratory Study on the Success Factors of Project Management After Content Investment (콘텐츠 투자 후 관리 성공요인에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study explores the success factors of post-investment management in content projects, which have recently seen increasing quantitative and qualitative status. The dependence on investment is huge in projects in the domestic content industry. As a result, unlike other industries, the content industry has a large role and contribution of investors in terms of project management. This study is conducted on 15 venture capitalists who have a key function in domestic content investment, and draws on their successful experience, what factors are successful in management(project management). To this end, 10 representative project management areas at the research and practice level are manipulated to suit content projects, and success factors by management area are derived in a qualitative manner for films and games with genre and industrial representation. For each area of management, a total of 38 success factors were derived, ranging from as little as three to as many as five. Given the theoretical and practical implications of research and the limitations of research, we present future research directions.

  • Online firms collect consumers' private information, which serves as a valuable database for marketing activities. In order to encourage consumers to provide their private information, online firms offer high quality websites for consumers who provide private information. However, identity theft, phishing, and pharming, become critical social issues, consumers started to avoid providing their private information to online firms. Thus, consumers often provide false or limited information, which lacks value for practical use for the online firms. The main issue raised in this study is to discuss how online marketing activities has influence on consumers attitude and information providing behavior. From the result, this paper found that websites reputation had greatest impact on willingness of providing information. Also this study revealed that unauthorized use is the key factor for increasing distrust and avoidance of providing information.

An Exploratory Study to Find the Education Service Direction of Records Managers and Archivists' Professional Associations: Focusing on the Korea Association of Records Managers and Archivists (기록관리 전문가단체의 교육 서비스 방향 모색을 위한 탐색 연구: 한국기록전문가협회를 중심으로)

  • This study aims to identify the current situation and core competencies of records managers and archivists through an in-depth interpretation of the perception and its meaning behind their experiences and, based on them, to seek the educational service directions of professional organizations. As a result of qualitative data analysis using interpretive phenomenological research method, this study identified three categories of field needs, core competencies, and educational service directions, as well as 10 super-topics, 30 sub-topics, and 82 semantic units. Based on this, this study has suggested the educational service directions of professional organizations, such as the provision of opportunities to secure external driving forces for work innovation, the provision of learning opportunities for communication and public discussion among institutions, and the provision of new partnerships and practical learning opportunities. This study is meaningful in having derived the main educational service directions that professional organizations should focus on and support by identifying the current situation and core competencies of records managers and archivists.

Qualitative Approach in Research on Human Resource Management (인적자원관리 연구를 위한 질적 접근방법의 고찰)

  • Human resource management (HRM) deals with essentially complex human phenomena and multiple interactive relationships. Thus, the use of quantitative data to research and understand HRM is necessarily limited. Although important qualitative issues in HRM research are often central to supporting or creating a firm's competitive advantage, they are frequently neglected. Research into HRM is increasingly difficult and complicated, therefore, it is very difficult to research through strict quantitative methods. This paper's focus is to develop an effective idea for applying qualitative research approaches to HRM studies. A justification of a qualitative approach is considered as being a superior means for researching HRM issues. The underlying foundation of this paper is that new problems are confronted HRM research, therefore, qualitative research methods will be necessary. It is suggested that quantitative analysis in understanding and explaining firm's HRM is not sufficient and a qualitative may provide the indepth insight into HR researches.
