Exploration of Structural Relations on Health Behavior Related to Particulate Matter: Focused on Multi-Dimensional Health Locus of Control, Perceived Susceptibility and Severity, and Health Behavioral Intention (미세먼지 관련 건강행동에 대한 구조적 관계의 탐색: 다차원 건강통제소재, 지각된 취약성과 심각성 및 건강행동의도를 중심으로)

  • This study explored relationships between health perception and behavior of Korean relevant to particulate matter(PM) as PM in the atmosphere getting worse. To investigate the relationship in the personal hygiene dimension, we analysed the structural relationships among multi-dimensional health locus of control, perceived susceptibility and severity, and health behavior intention. Except internal among three tendencies of multi-dimensional health locus of control, chance and powerful other had an effect on perceived susceptibility and severity, respectively. Perceived susceptibility and severity also had a positive effect on the intention. Thus, to facilitate PM-related disease prevention, timely and reliable information should be supplied with the solution for lessening damage from PM, and then training for internalizing locus of control should be encouraged through eliminating fear and uncertainty. Finally, we discussed suggestions for future study.

  • In addition to reduction in performance, immune functions are reduced in chickens under stress. These birds are more likely to be vulnerable to diseases compared with those raised under better environmental conditions and thus to require medication more frequently to cope with the diseases. In this review, two of the stress markers frequently used in chickens are exemplified first, followed by relationship between stress and immune functions, and the effects of stress on performance and immune functions.

  • Microarray technology represents a critical new advance in molecular cytogenetics. The development of this approach has provided fundamental insights into the molecular pathogenesis in clinical cytogenetics and has provided a clue to many unidentified or unexplained diseases. The approach allows a comprehensive investigation of thousands and millions of genomic loci simultaneously and enables the efficient detection of copy number alterations. The application of this technology has shown tremendous fluidity and complexity of the human genome, and has provided accurate diagnosis and appropriate clinical management in a timely and efficient manner for identifying genomic alterations. The clinical impact of the genomic alterations identified by microarrays is evolving into a diagnostic tool to identify high-risk patients better and predict patient outcomes from their genomic profiles. The transformation of conventional cytogenetics into an automated discipline will improve diagnostic yield significantly, leading to accurate diagnosis and genetic counseling. This article reviews cytogenetic technologies used to identify human chromosome alterations and highlights the potential utility of present and future genome microarray technology in the diagnosis.

Dehydration Risk from Age, BMI, and Disease Exposure (연령, BMI, 질병노출로 인한 탈수 위험)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the risk factors of dehydration from the subjects who underwent anthropometric and blood parameters testing during a comprehensive health screening. Methods : For the study analysis, 5,391 samples with valid data of the levels of Sodium($Na^+$), BUN (Blood Urea Nitrogen) and FBS(Fasting Blood Sugar) were selected to calculate a dehydration indicator of plasma osmolality. The study data was collected from the health screening examinees who visited Sahmyook Medical Center Seoul Adventist Hospital Comprehensive Health Check-up Center from 2014.01.01 to 2015.12.31. The relationship between dehydration and age group, BMI, disease exposures(hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, kidney disorder) were analyzed by gender. Results : The odds ratio of dehydration showed statistical significance from age ${\geq}50$ in both male and female, respectively. The female obese group was vulnerable to dehydration while the male study group showed no statistical significance in the BMI difference. The disease exposed groups(hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, kidney disorder) were vulnerable to dehydration. Also, the more types of disease carried by the exposed patients, the higher odds ratio and susceptibility to dehydration. Conclusions : Aging, increasing BMI, and exposed to diseases were found to be the risk factors for vulnerability to dehydration. To prevent dehydration, special caution to be taken for those in the ${\geq}50s$ group, along with controlling BMI and chronic diseases. Further studies are suggested to investigate the risk factors of dehydration that may affect increasing plasma osmolality as a potential stimulus mechanism in disease outbreaks.

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the concept of the frail elderly and to obtain theoretical evidence. The research method was conducted using the basic principles for conceptual analysis of Walker and Avant(2005). As a Result of a review of the literature about how to utilize the concept of a frail elderly, frail elderly might be in the intermediate state of health and disease. They can be defined as physically vulnerable in the sarcopenia, inflammation, insulin resistance, and preceding advanced disease, lead to hospitalization, falls, disability, and death. The attributes were physiological, psychological, and socio-environmental and economic factors, so they had multidimensional factors. They were required the assist daily living of another person. Also, their attributes had decreased the amount of recovery time and degree, and exhaustion. The attributes of frail elderly consisted of these facts: dynamic process, multidimensional factors, dependency, vulnerability. The frail elderly was a dynamic process that involves the possibility of change to health and disease, and include physical, mental, cognitive, and social environmental factors. In addition, the frail elderly was difficulty in daily life, physical vulnerability and difficulty in adaption. In conclusion, frail elderly as defined by the results of this study will contribute to the foundation of health care systems, including community visiting nursing to understand the level of frail elderly and systemic management to do not go into long term care.

  • 컴퓨터 비전에서 딥러닝을 활용한 이미지 분할 기법은 핵심 분야 중 하나이다. 이미지 분할 기법이 다양한 도메인에 사용되면서 딥러닝 네트워크의 오작동을 일으키는 적대적 공격에 대한 방어와 강건함이 요구되고 있으며 자율주행 자동차, 질병 분석과 같이 모델의 보안 취약성이 심각한 사고를 불러 올 수 있는 영역에서 적대적 공격은 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이미지 분할 기법에 따른 구별방법과 최근 연구되고 있는 적대적 공격의 방향성을 설명하며 향후 컴퓨터 비전 분야 연구의 효율성을 위해 중점적으로 검토되고 있는 연구주제를 설명한다

  • 최근 때 아닌 한파가 몰아닥치면서 양계농가들이 사양관리에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 금년 9월 부터 HPAI에 대한 파문이 계속되면서 육계가격이 kg당 600원까지 하락하는 등 고전을 면치못했고, 그나마 12월 들면서 가격이 상승하고 있으나 생산성이 낮아 수익을 올리기에는 결코 쉽지 않은 상황이다. 겨울에는 최소 환기로 계사 내 온도를 유지시켜야 하는 만큼 사양관리에 각별히 신경 쓰지 않으면 안된다. 농가로서는 연료가격이 큰 부담이 되고 있으며, 아직도 단열에 취약한 농장들이 많기 때문에 효율적인 환경관리를 하지 않으면 농가의 피해는 크게 나타날 수 있다.

  • 농가를 방문하는 가금관련업체의 관계자 및 차량은 HPAI 질병 확산의 매개체가 된다. 농가들의 가금관련업체 이용 정보를 이용하면 농가간의 연결을 확인할 수 있고 HPAI 확산 가중 네트워크를 구성할 수 있다. 네트워크 분석중 중심성 측정은 질병에 취약하거나 타 농가에 영향력이 큰 역할을 하는 농가를 분석하는 방법으로 HPAI 초기 확산을 통제하는 방법으로 이용된다. 단, HPAI 바이러스는 네트워크의 연결선 가중치에 따라서 확산 경로가 달라질 수 있다. 기존의 분석 방법은 확산 경로에 있어 대치되는 연결선의 강도와 연결선의 수 중 하나만을 고려하기 때문에 질병 확산을 정확히 모의하는데 한계가 있다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 2008년 발병한 한국 김제 지역의 39개 농가를 대상으로 가금관련업체 이용자료를 적용한 HPAI 확산 네트워크에 연결선의 가중치에 지수를 적용하는 방법으로 기존의 방법과 결과를 비교했다. 이 자료는 가금 산업 네트워크의 한국 지역 농가 적용성을 평가 할 수 있을뿐만 아니라 추후 잠재적인 질병 발병 차단을 위한 정보 제공에 중요한 역할을 할 것이다.

  • 지역사회에서는 병원퇴원 후 경증장애인의 체력회복을 도와 일상생활로의 복귀를 지원하고 노인 등 취약계층의 건강유지 및 증진을 위한 저비용 개인맞춤형 재활운동 서비스 시스템이 요구된다. 특히, 병원과의 데이터 연계를 통해 개인의 건강상태, 질병에 따라 최적화된 재활운동이 관리될 경우, 효율적인 재활 및 2차 부상방지를 지원할 수 있다. 이에, 본 연구에서는 재활운동의 비용감소와 장애인 및 노인 등 취약계층의 운동재활 접근성(코칭/시설) 강화를 위한 O2O(Online-to-Offline) 연계 AI 기반 개인맞춤형 운동재활 서비스 시스템을 설계한다.

Characteristics of Early Maladaptive Schemas in Patients with Panic Disorder (공황장애 환자의 초기부적응 심리도식의 특성)

  • Objective : This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of the early maladaptive schemas in patients with panic disorder. Methods : Patients (n=35) included people who had met the DSM-IV-TR criteria for panic disorder. The normal control group (n=35) were those people who had no psychiatric disorder and had never experienced panic attack. The early maladaptive schemas and the severity of depression and anxiety were assessed by the Young Schema Questionnaire Short-form (YSQ-SF), the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), and the Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). Results : The scores on the STAI-S, STAI-T, and BDI were significantly higher in the patient group. Compared to the control group, the scores of vulnerability to harm and illness, and abandonment/instability schemas were significantly higher in the patient group. In the patient group, defectiveness/shame and subjugation schemas were found to predict BDI, dependent/incompetence, abandonment/instability schemas were found to predict STAI-S, and vulnerability to harm and illness, and abandonment/instability schemas were found to predict STAI-T. In normal controls, failure and insufficient self-control/self-discipline, failure, and emotion inhibition schemas were found to predict BDI, STAI-T, and STAI-S. Conclusions : Vulnerability to harm and illness and abandonment/instability schemas may be characteristic schema in patients with panic disorder.
