TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE DEPENDENCES ON THE ISOTOPIC FRACTIONATION EFFECT IN THE THERMAL DECOMPOSITION OF OZONE (오존의 열분해 시 나타나는 동위원소 분할효과의 온도와 압력의 의존성에 관한 연구)

  • To understand the mass-independent isotopic fractionation effects, thermal decomposition of ozone was performed. Initial oxygen gas was converted to ozone completely. Then, the ozone was decomposed to oxygen at various temperatures ($30~150^{\circ}C$). Isotopic compositions of product oxygen and residual ozone were measured using a stable isotope mass spectrometer. The experimental results were compared with the studies which were performed at the similar conditions. From the raw experimental data, the functions of the instantaneous fractionation factors were calculated by the least square fit. The results clearly showed the temperature dependence. They also showed the pressure dependence and the surface effect. This study may play an important role in the study of ozone decomposition mechanism. It can be applied to explain the mass-independent isotopic pattern found in stratospheric ozone and in meteorites.

Size Effect of Concrete Compressive Strength Considering Dried Unit Weight of Concrete (콘크리트의 기건단위질량을 고려한 콘크리트 압축강도의 크기효과)

  • Since the size effect law announced currently has been based on the normal weight concrete, for light weight concrete having different fracture characteristics, its application is questionable. Accordingly, in this study, a model equation to predict the effect of dried unit weight of the concrete on size effect of its compressive strength was developed and a database using existing research results was created. After determining the experimental constants of prediction models of Ba${\check{z}}$ant based on nonlinear fracture mechanics, Kim and Eo, and this study using the database, their results are mutually compared. Finally, it was found that the prediction model of this study considered dried unit weight of concrete predicted well the test results for light weight concrete than that of the models of Ba${\check{z}}$ant and Kim and Eo.

  • Experimental study was carried out to investigate the interaction effect between spray fan formed by gas/liquid swirl injector. Test variables were supply pressure and injector distance. Water and air were the simulant for the experiment. For water supply only; Collected water mass was concentrated at the lower part of the two spray fan, but this effect was reduced with increasing supply pressure. Both air and water supply1; Collected water mass was again concentrated at the lower part of the impingement point, but this effect was reduced when air/water supply pressure ratio was increased.

  • This paper describes the characteristics of thermo-field emission in a freestanding silicon nanomembrane under ion bombardment with various thermal and field conditions. The thermal effect and field effect in thermo-field emission in silicon nanomembrane are investigated by varying kinetic energy of ions and electric field applied to the silicon nanomembrane surface, respectively. We found that thermo-field emission increases linearly as the electric field increases, when the electric field intensity is lower than the threshold. The thermo-field emission (schottky effect) increases proportionally to the power of temperature, which agree well with the predictions of a thermo-field emission model.

  • 본 논문에서는 풍하중을 받는 구조물의 응답을 보다 적극적으로 저감시킴으로써 구조물의 안정성과 사용성을 개선하기위한 능동제어 알고리즘을 송도 자유무역 지구에 건설중인 포스코건설 사옥에 수치해석을 통해 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하였다. 수치해석에 의한 시뮬레이션 결과를 보면 최대 제어력이 제한이 된 비선형 제어기가 LQR 제어기와 등등한 제어효과를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 제어력의 측면에서 본다면 비선형 제어기법이 더욱 유리한 것을 알 수 있다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 구조물과 질량형 제진장치의 상호작용을 고려하여 통합적으로 제진효과를 해석하고, 이를 바탕으로 제진장치를 설계할 수 있는 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 구조물의 모드정보에 기초한 축소모델을 구축하고 제진장치의 설계 및 제진성능 평가를 수행하고 사용성을 평가하게 된다. 전체 소프트웨어는 질량형 제진장치의 설계프로그램과 질량형 제진장치의 종류별 대안설계결과를 등가감쇠비로 표현하여 비교평가하는 두 개의 모듈로 이루어져 있으며 전자는 비제어구조물 해석 모듈 및 TMD, TLD, TLCD, AMD를 대상으로 해석 및 설계를 수행하는 총 5개의 하부 모듈로 구성된다. 본 소프트웨어를 현재 TLCD가 설치되어 있는 인천 송도 국제업무지구의 주상복합건물에 적용하여 TMD, TLD, TLCD, AMD의 대안설계를 실시하였다.

  • 한국자원연구소 제작된 TOF spectrometer는 입자의 비행시간과 에너지를 동시에 측정 기록하여 질량분별된 에너지 스펙트럼을 얻고자 하는 목적으로 제작되었다. 그러나 질량분별이 필요치 않은 후방 산란실험에서는 비행시간의 측정만으로 훌륭한 에너지 계측기가 된다. 중이온 산란분석법(heavy ion RBS)은 He을 사용하는 산란분석법에 비하여 원리적으로 분해능이 우수하나 사용하는 반도체 검출기의 에너지 분해능의 불량이 이러한 장점을 상쇄하는 실정이다. 그러나 TOF spectrometer를 중이온 산란실험의 에너지 계측기로 사용하면 H, He에 대한 반도체 검출기 정도의 낮은 에너지분해능 수준을 유지할 수 있으므로 중이온 산란실험의 원리적인 장점을 살릴 수 있다. 한국자원연구소에서는 He RBS의 취약점으로 지적되어온 medium elements에 대한 질량분해능과 깊이 분해능을 향상시키고자 140$^{\circ}$ 산란각에 TOF spectrometer가 위치하는 Heavy Ion Rutherford Backscattering Spectrometry (HIRBS) 시스템을 설계하였다. 설계된 TOF spectrometer를 채용하였을 때 기대되는 질량분해능 향상효과와 분석의 최적조건에 관하여 논한다.

  • In this paper, an analytical and experimental study is performed in order to determine the effects of interaction between vehicle and bridge superstructure. For this purpose an improved wheel tracking machine and an adequate single span bridge are designed. Results presented in the paper show that wheel tracking machine including moving mass effects can demonstrate more accurate dynamic interaction between vehicle and structure.

  • In this paper, an experimental study is performed in order to determine the effects of interaction between vehicle and structure. For this purpose a wheel tracking machine and an adequate precast concrete deck single span bridge are designed. Results presented in the paper show that interaction between vehicle and structure produce additional effects on dynamic behavior of structure including reversal and contrary behavior.

  • 본 논문은 복수 집중질량을 갖고 제어 종동력을 받는 자유 Timoshenko보의 동적 안정성에 관한 것으로, 비행중의 미사일이나 로켓의 연료탱크, Payload등의 기계장치부를 복수의 집중질량으로 간주하여 이러한 항공우주 구조물들이 추진력인 종동력을 받을때에 대한 계의 동적 안정성을 판별한다. 수학적 모델에 대한 운동방정식은 확장된 해밀톤 원리를 이용한 유한요소법에 의해 유도되며, 복수 부가질량의 위치 및 크기변화, 센서의 위치 및 게인(gain)의 변화에 따른 계의 안정성 지도(stability maps)를 보여준다. 또한 보의 전단 변형이나 회전관성의 효과 뿐만아니라, 추질력의 방향이 제어되는 경우와 제어되지 않는 경우에 대한 최대 추진력 값이 수치 시뮬레이션을 통해 예측된다.

Restrained Stroke Active Tuned Mass Damper (제한진폭 능동형 질량동조감쇠장치)

  • The allowed operation space for the mass damper in an active tuned mass damper (ATMD) system is limited for most civil structures. In this study, a restrained stroke active tuned mass damper (RS-ATMD) system with a end-spring and a holder that reduces the stroke of the mass damper with maintaining the control effect durably is proposed. This new control system functions as a conventional ATMD within the predetermined stroke limitation under small excitation and as an RS-ATMD beyond that limitation under large excitation. A new control algorithm considering such an operation principle of the RS-ATMD are also provided. Parameteric study for the various design factors of the RS-ATMD is conducted and the control effectiveness are investigated in comparison with the ATMD. Exposed to sinusoidal or impact load, the RS-ATMD system shows the considerable reduction of the maximum stroke of the mass damper with the slight diminution in the control effectiveness. Excited by random load, it also shows the considerable reduction of the maximum stroke of the mass damper not allowing the diminution in the control effectiveness.
