SK텔레콤은 급변하는 이동통신시장 환경의 변화에 적절히 대응하기 위하여 지난 10여 년간 사용해 온 메인프레임 기반의 COIS 시스템을 중단하고 Unix 기반의 NGM 시스템으로 다운사이징하기로 결정하였다. 2002 년 9 월 SK 텔레콤은 차세대 IT 인프라 혁신 전략 프로젝트를 완료하고 이에 근거하여 2003 년 말 1 단계 프로젝트를 추진하게 된다. 그러나 개발 툴의 문제점, Governance 의 확보 실패 등 문제점이 계속 누적되어 2005년에 접어들어서는 총체적 난국 상황에 봉착하게 되었다. 2005 년 2 월 자체 점검 결과 개발 진척도는 50%에 불과한 상황이었다. 결국 2005 년 3 월, NGM 추진본부는 프로젝트의 추진 중단을 선언하기에 이르렀다. NGM 프로젝트는 처음부터 재 검토하여 Re-planning 을 실시한 후 구축을 재개하기로 결정하였다. 2005 년 5 월 NGM 프로젝트의 Re-plan 이 수립되었다. 우선 Turn-key 방식의 문제점을 해소하기 위하여 SK 텔레콤이 구축의 총책임을 떠맡고, SK C&C 가 시스템 이행에 대한 책임을 지는 Governance 체제를 확립하였다. 또한 2 단계 프로젝트에서는 NGM 프로젝트를 기술적으로 원점부터 재 검토하여 이전과는 근본적으로 다른 In-House 구축 접근방식을 채택하기로 하였다. 2 단계 프로젝트에서 관심을 집중한 기술적 의사결정 영역은 크게 (1) 미들웨어 및 개발프레임워크의 적용, (2) DB 아키텍처의 결정 및 슬림화, (3) 시스템 성능 개선 등의 세 분야로 집약할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 이들 각각의 분야를 구체적으로 검토하였다. 결국 2006 년 10 월 9 일 메인프레임 기반의 COIS 는 Shut-down 되어 가동을 멈추었고, Unix 기반의 NGM 시스템이 가동을 개시함으로써 차세대 마케팅을 본격 추진하기 위한 다운사이징 프로젝트가 성공적으로 완수되었다.

Underachievers, having had more experience with failure in teaming, tend to lose their self-confidence and motivation for study. If they achieve more when studying, they will enhance their self-confidence and motivation and their learning accomplishments will be increased. A game-style learning system was, therefore, developed in which the learner gains self-satisfaction and motivation with a proper 'hit and win' in a game-style program. The system supplies learning content automatically and randomly while adapting to the student's level by continuously checking the learning progress. Positive effects in motivation and learning achievement were recorded when underachievers used this program.

The extent of UV-curing photo-polymerization reaction was monitored by near-IR spectroscopic method. Acrylates containing quaternary ammonium salts and Darocur 1173 were used as reactive monomer and a photo initiator, respectively. The extent of photo-polymerization reaction was obtained from the conversion ratio of acrylate double bond calculated from the intensities of measured bands at 1615 nm and at 2105 nm. Near-IR spectroscopic methods can be an useful tool for the monitoring of the progress of photo-polymerization.

우리나라 대형 건설시장의 하나인 터널 시공은 계획 대비 많은 물량과 자재의 소모로 인해 이들 정보의 지속적 관리를 통한 정확한 물량 및 자재 산출 정보 예측에 대한 관심이 꾸준히 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 대부분의 시공현장에서는 굴진의 정확도 검측을 위해 광파기를 사용하고 있다. 광파기는 공사 초기 시부터 유지된 원점으로부터의 정확한 좌표를 사용하고 있어 취득된 정보는 신뢰할 수 있으나, 몇 개의 기준점을 측량하여 굴진방향 및 공사의 진척도를 평가하는 방식이므로, 전체적인 면을 측정하지 못한다는 단점이 있다. 이에 반하여 3차원 스캐너는 제원에 따른 반경 내의 모든 점들을 계측하여 그 정보를 선이 아닌 면으로써 파악하지만 위치에 대한 정확도를 포함할 수 없다. 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위하여, 광파기와 3차원 스캐너를 동시 활용하는 본 시스템은 현장에서 소모된 자원의 정확한 양을 체크하여 굴진정도를 파악하여 공사의 전반적인 진도를 관리할 수 있다. 또한 여굴의 발생 여부를 직접 확인하고 계획대비 소모된 물량정보를 통해 자재관리를 할 수 있게 된다. 마지막으로 추후 발생할 수 있는 하자에 대한 정확한 근거를 제시하여 균열 및 누수 등에 대한 정확한 원인 파악을 제공할 수 있다는 장점들을 제공한다.

An information management system for a solid waste landfill site was developed, in this study, to optimize the operation and management of solid waste landfill in real time in addition to provide the information of landfill status to the landfill operator, public official concerned and local residents. The landfill information management system is composed of two systems (Solid waste landfill history management system and landfill operation and performance management system). The solid waste landfill history management system based on automated RFID/LPR system allows landfill operators to provide information of waste collection vehicles and received waste. In addition, the system aids in the identification of 3-dimensional (3D) position for landfilled solid wastes. Using the landfill operation and performance management system based on 3D laser scanner delivers information about landfill volume, settlement, landfill density, and current landfill capacity to landfill operators in real time, resulting in optimum space utilization. Ultimately, this system would dramatically reduce exposure of landfill operators to hazardous materials and improve the productivity of landfill operations.

일본의 사회복지적 정보기술에 대해 3회째 연재를 하고 있다. 우리나라도 장애인이나 고령자 저학력자를 위한 정보통신 기술의 개발이 이뤄지고 있긴 하지만, 아직은 미흡한 실정이다. 사회 복지적 정보기술은 반드시 필요한 부분임에도 불구하고, 연구개발이 진척되지 않고 있는 것은 역시 국가적 차원에서 기술개발과 개발된 기술의 수요를 창출해 줄 수 있어야 한다. 즉, 사회복지의 정책이 정보통신 분야로 확대되어야 함을 의미한다. 이에 일본의 고령자를 위한 정보기술 모니터링 시스템을 소개하고자한다.

본 연구에서는 퇴적물 이동에 의한 해빈단면 및 해안선의 변화 형태를 파랑모델이나 순환모델의 도움없이 예측하는 간단한 수치 모델을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 해안선의 변형에 대한 연구는 그동안 많은 진척되었으며 최근 해빈단면의 변형 모델은 물론 3차원적인 복잡한 해저면에도 적응할 수 있는 복합적인 토사이동 모델이 활발히 개발되고 있다(Watanabe 등, 1980； Wang and Miao, 1992； 과학기술처, 1992). (중략)

LPG업계는 유통과정에서 소요되는 비용을 최소화해 경쟁력을 높이고 LPG를 사용하는 소비자들의 발길을 잡기 위해 노력하고 있다. 특히 작년 12월에 선정된 3곳의 배송센터 시범사업 업체는 수입-충전-판매로 이어지는 다단계 유통구조를 개선할 수 있는 모델로 관심을 받고 있다. 그러나 한편에서는 배송센터 자제에 대한 부정적인 시각도 여전하다. 이들 3개 사업장에서 배송센터 시범사업을 개시한지도 5달이 지났다. 그동안 진척 상황을 알아보고 유통구조개선의 필요성, 배송센터의 장.단점, 선정 경위 등을 다시 한번 살펴보면서 시범사업을 진행한 현장의 목소리를 전한다.
