In this study, the effect of the automotive haptic-seat technology which can transmit the driving information by the vibro-stimulus from the seat was investigated to overcome previous system's limitation relied on the visual and audial method and to help handicap driving. A prototype haptic seat cover with 30 coin-type motors and driver module were developed for this sake. In an experiment of seat vibration stimulation being performed under virtual driving situation by targeting the elderly aged over 65 years old, average score of test subjects for total vibration recognition was 3.5/4 points and recognition rate of 87.5% was represented. In addition, a result that all the test subjects totally recognized overspeed warning signal of 4 times was represented. As a result of statistical analysis for vibration recognition score by each group depending on TMT score, a significant difference was not found and a result that tactile function of which vibration is recognized even by the aged whose visual, perceptional function is declined showed an equal ability was obtained.. In this study it was shown that the seat vibration stimulus could be used to transfer the old drivers' information while driving.
The complex glow curves were split into isolated glow curves to be calculated the values of kinetic order, activation energy, escape frequency and density of initial trap from the independent glow curves using the mathematical method of thermally stimulated processes. The minimization of the intensity difference between measured and theoretical glow curve was done by the nonlinear least-square program. The results of the fitted curves were almost equal to the actual values of the parameters. Thermoluminescence from gamma ray irradiated ${\alpha}$-Al$_2$$O_3$ over the range of 300K to 600K was split into six glow curves. The kinetic order, activation energy and escape frequency of first glow curve were obtained as 1, 1.12eV and 6.79X10$\^$12/sec$\^$-1/, respectively, which were similar to the results of other method. Also the parameters of the second and the third glow curve and so forth were calculated.

The fMRI response of the somatosensory cortex was investigated with vibrotactile stimulation. Three different frequencies of 8, 15, or 25 Hz were applied in order to mainly focus on the hemodynamic response of Meissner corpuscles sensitive to frequencies of 5-40 Hz. A closed-system, pneumatically-driven, rubber diaphragm was fabricated that overcame many of the limitations of existing vibrotactile devices and produced robust sensory cortex activation in an fMRI experiment. Increasing frequency vs. activation area was analyzed in terms of signal percent change and number of pixels. Our preliminary results indicated that the distribution of the signal percentage change widened and more activated pixels were obtained with higher frequencies.

The purpose of this study is to prove the increase of range of motion of shoulder joint in the patients with shoulder adhesive capsulitis by applying the vibratory stimulation. In terms of subjects of the study, the experimental group 15(4 male, 11 female)and the control group 15(5 male, 10 female) were divided. The measurement of the shoulder range of motion was taken by measuring the degrees of flexion, abduction, and external rotation with a goniometer from pre treatment to one to four weeks. The results were as follows : In the experimental group and control group, there was the statistical significance in the range of motion of the shoulder flexion, abduction, and external rotation during four weeks. In summary, the vibratory stimulation are effective interventions for improving shoulder adhesive capsulitis, patient's range of motion of shoulder joint.
We examined the effects of the vibration stress on oxygen consumption and ammonia excretion of cultured soft-shelled turtle, Pelodiscus sinensis. For the stressed group vibration of $45{\sim}78\;dB$ (V) from electric vibrator was turned on for 15 min with 2-h intervals during daytime hours ($08:00{\sim}18:00$) for 28 days. Two different sizes of soft-shelled turtle, large (carapace length: $12{\sim}16\;cm$, body weight: $300{\sim}600\;g$, large size turtle: LST) and middle ($16{\sim}20\;cm,\;700{\sim}1,000\;g$, middle size turtle: MST) were used. The oxygen consumption of LST the beginning of the experiment (1 day) was 124.30 mg $O_2/kg/hr$, and after 7, 14, 21 and 28 days of stress decreased by 47.2, 71.6, 79.1 and 86.0%, respectively. In MST, oxygen consumption of beginning day was 66.04 mg $O_2/kg/hr$, and after 28 days of stress decreased by 76.5%. Ammonia nitrogen excretion showed a similar pattern to that of oxygen consumption. Ammonia nitrogen excretion of beginning of the experiment was 0.537 mg N/kg/hr, and after 28 days of stress decreased by 75.4% for LST, and by 74.3% for the middle ones. From in this study it was showed that the physiological activity was reduced by 50% following 8.4 days of vibration stress for LST, and 15.5 days for MST.
This paper presents a case study of an enhanced geothermal system(EGS) demonstration project conducted in $Gro{\ss}$$Sch{\ddot{o}}nebeck$, Northerm Germany, focusing on hydraulic stimulation. The project was conducted with doublet system in sandstone and volcanic formations at 4 - 4.4 km depth. Under normal faulting to strike-slip faulting stress regime, hydraulic stimulations were conducted at injection and production wells by massive waterfrac and gel-proppant fracturing. Injectivity index increased from $0.97m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ to $7.5m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ and productivity index increased from $2.4m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ to $10.1m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ by a series of hydraulic stimulations at both wells. After circulation tests through injection and production wells, however, productivity index decreased from $8.9m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ to $0.6m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ in two years. Slip tendency analysis for the stimulation in volcanic layer estimated the required pressure for shear slip and its preferred orientations and it showed reasonable match with actual stimulation results. Through the microseismicity observation for the stimulation of volcanic formation, only 80 seismic events with its moment magnitudes in -1.8<$M_W$<-1.0 were observed, which are unexpectedly low for EGS hydraulic stimulation.

Nowadays, some movie theaters provide additional sensory information in 3D movies to enhance visually induced motion perception. However, no studies have investigated how motion perception increases. Thus, in this study, we examined the effect of visual coherent sensory information on visually induced motion perception and quantification of sensory information. A visual stimulus rotated sinusoidally and visual coherent sensory information were applied as vibrations to a subject's foot. We measured the sway of the subject's body by using a force plate and somatosensory bar rotation that represents the subject's perception of the horizon using an encoder. By using this data, we obtained the weight of the sensory information using a Kalman filter. As a result, it was found that subjects rotated the somatosensory bar more when visual coherent vibrations were applied. The weight of vision also increased when visual coherent vibrations were applied. Thus, we can conclude that visual coherent sensory information tends to enhance visually induced motion perception and weight of vision.

In this study, EEG, HRV, and Vibra image were compared and analyzed in the environmental test room due to stimulation of aroma and color temperature. The condition of the environmental test room was in temperature $25[^{\circ}C]$, relative humidity 50[RH%], air current speed 0.02[m/s] and illuminance 1000[lux] with setting up different sensory stimulation condition which are before exposure, single-sensory stimulation of Jasmine scent, single-sensory stimulation of RED color lighting, and multi-sensory stimulation of Jasmine scent and RED color lighting. The result of this study, at multi-sensory stimulation of Jasmine scent and RED color lighting, relative $S{\alpha}$ wave, SEF50, $SMR/{\theta}$ and SDNN were revitalized, and both sides ${\alpha}$ wave asymmetry index, stress index, fatigue degree, and HRT were decreased. Also, Viba image of tension/anxiety and stress were declined. Therefore multi-sensory stimulation of Jasmine scent and RED color lighting effects to increase the Neuro-energy like amenity, productivity of work efficiency, and concentration.
