Comparative Study on Relationship between Vibration Level and Vibration Velocity (진동레벨과 진동속도의 상관성에 관한 비교연구)

  • This study measured a vibration level at each distance of construction fields where blasts occur using Lion measuring instrument and used BlastmateIII to measure vibration velocity at the same distance. A total 130 blasts occurred with the weight of a total of 5,180 kg and the number of blast holes per blast was 5, 10 and 20. The weight of 4 kg was used for each hole. Vibrations caused by blast was measured at the distance with the same velocity and level. Measurements were carried 15~102 m away from the blast source. and 273 data on vibration velocity and level were obtained from eight measurements. It analysed data on vibration velocity measured based on existing correlation formulas and compared them to real measurements to analyse interrelationship.

  • 주차장, 버스터미널, 스타디움, 집회공간과 같은 낮은 고유진동수를 갖는 장경간 건축물에서는 저속 차량의 이동하중이나 보행자의 보행하중과 같은 동적하중에 의해 과도한 바닥판 진동이 발생할 수 있으며 이러한 진동은 건축물의 이용자에게 불쾌감을 일으켜 건축물의 사용성에 심각한 영향을 주게된다. 구조물에 가해지는 보행하중의 일반적인 적용방법은 분할된 요소의 절점을 따라 절점하중으로 가하는 것이다. 그러나 이러한 해석모델은 보행하중을 절점에만 가해야하는 제한적인 문제점을 가지고 있어 보폭 수만큼 절점을 생성시켜야 하며 보폭이 변하거나 절점이외에 하중이 작용할 경우 해석모델을 수정해야하는 번거로움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 보행하중에 대한 계측과 분석을 통하여 보행하중의 동적특성을 분석하였으며 계측한 보행하중을 예제구조물에 적용하였다. 그리고 보행하중에 의한 구조물 진동의 효율적인 해석을 위하여 구조물에 가해지는 보행하중을 등가의 절점하중으로 치환하는 방법을 제안하였으며 제안된 등가절점 하중의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 예제구조물의 진동해석을 수행하였다.

A Development of Real-time Vibration Monitoring and Analysis System Linked to the Integrated Management System of Ministry of Public Safety and Security (국민안전처 통합관리시스템 연계 가능한 시설물 진동 감지 및 분석 시스템 개발)

  • A frequency of earthquake occurrence in the Republic of Korea is increasing over the past few decades. In this situation, an importance of earthquake prevention comes to the fore because the earthquake does damage to structures and causes severe damage of human life. For the earthquake prevention, a real-time vibration measurement for structures is important. As an example, the United States of America and Japan have already been monitoring real-time earthquake acceleration for the important structures and the measured acceleration data has been managed by forming database. This database could be used for revising the seismic design specifications or predicting the damage caused by earthquake. In Korea, Earthquake Recovery Plans Act and Enforcement Regulations are revised and declared lately. Ministry of Public Safety and Security is constructing a integrated management system for the measured earthquake acceleration data. The purpose of this research is to develop a real-time vibration monitoring and analysis system for structures which links to the integrated management system. The developed system contains not only a monitoring function to show real-time acceleration data but also an analysis system to perform fast fourier transform, to obtain natural frequency and earthquake magnitude, to show response spectrum and power spectrum, and to evaluate structural health. Additionally, this system is designed to be able to link to the integrated management system of Ministry of Public Safety and Security. It is concluded that the developed system can be useful to build a safety management network, minimize maintenance cost of structures, and prevention of the structural damage due to earthquake.

진동의 표현과 진동기준

  • 진동을 정량화하기 위해서는 진동변위, 진동속도, 진동가속도 등의 척도를 사용하여 진동의 크기를 나타내고 있다. 또한 각 국가별로 지반조건 및 사회적 특성에 따라 진동척도의 단위가 통일되지 않았고, 각 단위에 대한 진동기준도 다양하게 설정되어 있는 실정이다. 본 기사에서는 진동변위, 진동속도, 진동가속도로 표현된 진동기준을 국외에서 연구 제시된 자료를 중심으로 고찰하였으며 각기 다른 척도 및 단위로 표현된 기준들을 통일된 단위인 진동수준으로 표현하였다. 국내에서도 점차 진동문제에 대한 인식이 늘어감에 따라 진동기준에 대한 필요성이 증가하고 있는 시점에서 국내 실정에 적합하게 진동문제를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있으며, 현장에서 계측하고 평가하기에 편리한 진동 표현방법의 기준설정에 대한 기초적인 준비가 필요하다고 사료된다.

Vibration properties of corrugated fiberboard box for the pears (배 골판지 포장상자의 진동특성)

  • 배 골판지 포장상자의 진동특성을 계측, 분석하기 위하여 유압가진기을 이용하여 단일 포장상자의 진동실험 및 적재된 포장상자의 진동실험을 위한 시스템을 구성하고 진동특성 계측용 컴퓨터 프로그램을 개발하며 진동실험을 하였으며, 그 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 유압가진기의 성능실험을 하여 배 골판지 포장상자의 진동실험에 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 2. 단일 배 골판지 포장상자의 피크 주파수는 27.02 Hz이었으며, 피크 가속도는 1.9 G이었다. 3. 적재된 배 골판지 포장상자와 적재 단수별 피크 주파수는 19.02, 18.14, 16.62 및 15.40 Hz이었으며, 피크 가속도는 2.2987, 3.7654, 5.6087 및 7.9852 G이었다. 4. 배의 경우에는 운송시 과도한 진동에 노출되어 손상을 입게 되는데 만약 골판지 상자안의 배가 팰리트 적재로 운송시 15∼20 Hz 주파수 대역의 진동을 하게 되면 포장상자의 최하단에서부터 최상단까지 가속도와 변위가 증가되어 배의 심각한 멍(bruise) 손상을 초라하게 된다. 5. 배 골판지 포장상자의 진동시 최하단의 상자의 경우에는 상단에 위치한 상자로부터 진동에 의한 압축력을 받아 배의 손상 원인이 되었다. 이것은 농산물이 유통중의 진동에 노출되었을 때 농산물의 손상은 최하단의 골판지 포장상자의 압상의 원인이 제일 크다는 것을 알 수가 있었다.

  • For blasting vibration analysis, there are mostly two methods, firstly, far field vibration analysis to estimate limit of building damage, secondly, near field subterranean vibration analysis to estimate rock damage and subterranean structure facilities. The former has been mainly used in our country and aboard, the latter is mostly analysed by using Homberg's model. In this model, basic input data are acquired in far field surface vibration. But in the consideration of the results of being conducted in this area over the past few decade, it is required that Homberg's model is modified. For the purpose of this, measurements of near field vibration were first conducted in our country. But it was only proposed the measurement method and the method of analysis or prediction was not suggested. Accordingly, in this paper, measurements of near field subterranean vibration were conducted and the method of analysis or prediction of near field subterranean vibration would be suggested.

Estimation of Wind Resistance Capacity of Nielsen Arch Bridge Based on Measured Data From Monitoring System (모니터링 시스템의 계측자료를 기반으로 한 닐슨아치 교량의 내풍 안정성 평가)

  • The wind resistant capacity of bridges with a span of less than 200m is typically evaluated by Wind Resistant Design Manual for Highway Bridges in Japan. Also, the first vertical frequency plays an important role in the evaluation of their aerodynamic performance. An unexpected vortex-induced vibration of Nielsen arch bridge with span of 183m designed by this manual has been measured by monitoring system during typhoon. The amplitude of vibrations was about 2 times than the allowable vibration displacement. This paper presents the feature of vortex-induced vibration of this Nielsen arch bridge based on measured wind velocity, wind direction, and responses at midspan of main girder. From the result of FFT, the $1^{st}$ mode shape of the bridge is antisymmetric and the $2^{nd}$ is symmetric. Also, the dominant vibration of the bridge is the $2^{nd}$ vertical mode. According to these results, the $2^{nd}$ vertical vibration mode of this Nielsen arch bridge is prior to the first for the estimation of wind resistance capacity.

Experimental study to investigate the structural integrity of welded vehicle structure for BSR (Buzz, Squeak, Rattle) noise by vibration measurement (진동 특성을 이용한 접합된 차량 구조의 BSR(Buzz, Squeak, Rattle) 소음 강건성 관측에 대한 실험연구)

  • In this study, the vibration test method to nondestructively evaluate the possibility of vehicle BSR (Buzz, Squeak, Rattle) noise generation in spot-welded structures was proposed. The weld quality was predicted by analyzing the local vibration transmission characteristics for the beam-shaped structure attached to testing spots. The bending stiffness was evaluated from the identified vibration properties. From the change in the stiffness, the weld quality was evaluated. For verification of the proposed method, the welded specimens were fabricated with partial changes in welding parameters. The local vibration transfers were measured. The frequency bands affected by the weld quality was identified. The capability of evaluating the welding parameters including defect position and quality variations was investigated. The proposed method enables fast quality evaluation to minimize the possibility of BSR noise generation in the manufactured vehicle.
