  • 웹 서비스에 대한 사용자 요구사항을 만족시키기 위해 서비스 수준의 관리가 필요하다. 현재까지는 서비스를 제공받는 사용자가 겪는 서비스 중단이나 성능저하에 대하여 원인을 분석하고 이에 대한 적절한 해결을 제시하지는 못하고 있기 때문에 제공하는 서비스 자체에 문제가 없더라도 사용자는 서비스에 불신을 갖게 된다. 본 논문에서는 사용자관점에서의 웹 서비스의 중간이나 성능저하 원인을 분석할 수 있는 진단 시스템 구조와 진단 메커니즘을 제시하였다. 이러한 웹 서비스 환경에서 웹 컴포넌트를 전체 웹 서비스 응답 시간을 구성하는 각 구성요소 구간별 시간들로 정의하고 웹 컴포넌트에 기반하여 웹 서비스 성능 저하의 원인을 분석하는 DSWAP를 설계하고 구현하였다.

  • Because of accumulation of operation time, the performance of main components(compressor, combustor, turbine, etc.) come to be deteriorated in gas-turbine engine. So, high reliability and minimun of expense are important problem for engine manufacturer and user in operation of gas-turbine engine. In this study, the diagnostic code of the engine performance using the thermodynamic sensitivity between the sensed parameters and the health parameters has been developed without an application of the commercial program. The single performance deterioration of the turbo-shaft engine has been estimated with this code.

  • This paper describes a predictive fault diagnosis algorithm for autonomous vehicles based on a kinematic model that uses a sliding mode observer. To ensure the safety of autonomous vehicles, reliable information about the environment and vehicle dynamic states is required. A predictive algorithm that can interactively diagnose longitudinal environment and vehicle acceleration information is proposed in this paper to evaluate the reliability of sensors. To design the diagnosis algorithm, a longitudinal kinematic model is used based on a sliding mode observer. The reliability of the fault diagnosis algorithm can be ensured because the sliding mode observer utilized can reconstruct the relative acceleration despite faulty signals in the longitudinal environment information. Actual data based performance evaluations are conducted with various fault conditions for a reasonable performance evaluation of the predictive fault diagnosis algorithm presented in this paper. The evaluation results show that the proposed diagnosis algorithm can reasonably diagnose the faults in the longitudinal environment and acceleration information for all fault conditions.

  • This work proposes a GUI-type on-line diagnostic program using SIMULINK and Fuzzy-Neuro algorithms for a helicopter turboshaft engine. During development of the diagnostic program, a look-up table type base performance module for reducing computer calculating time and a signal generation module for simulating real time performance data are used. This program is composed of the on-line condition monitoring program to monitor on-line measuring performance condition, the fuzzy inference system to isolate the faults from measuring data and the neural network to quantify the isolated faults. The reliability and capability of the proposed on-line diagnostic program were confirmed through application to the helicopter engine health monitoring.

  • Purpose: Recently, due to increasing usage of high-tech equipment for facility inspection, the need of verifying high-tech equipment is being emphasized. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to develop performance evaluation methodology of tunnel scanners that inspect tunnel facilities. Method: This paper describes literature reviews regarding the performance evaluation methodology of high-tech based equipment for facility inspection. Based on these investigations and expert advisory meetings, this paper suggests a performance evaluation methodology of tunnel scanner. Result: First evaluation indicator states minimum performance standards of tunnel scanners. Second evaluation indicator is related to tunnel scanner quality. Conclusion: The performance evaluation methodology can provide reliable equipment performance catalogues, helping users to make a proper selection of equipment. Also, developers of equipment can get authorized verification of performances, preventing poor maintenance of facilities.

  • Reliable monitoring and diagnosis of industrial processes is quite important for in terms of quality and safety. The goal of fault diagnosis is to find process variables responsible for causing specific abnormalities of the process. This work presents a classification-based diagnostic scheme based on nonlinear representation of process data. The use of a nonlinear kernel technique is able to reduce the size of the data considered and provides efficient and reliable representation of the measurement data. As a filtering stage a preprocessing is performed to eliminate unwanted parts of the data with enhanced performance. The case study of an industrial batch process has shown that the performance of the scheme outperformed other methods. In addition, the use of a nonlinear representation technique and filtering improved the diagnosis performance in the case study.

  • In this paper, health monitoring technique has been studied for performance deterioration caused by the defects of the gas turbine. The parameters for performance diagnostics have been extracted by using GSP program for modeling the target engine. The virtual sensor model for the health monitoring has been built of those data. The position and magnitude of the defects of the engine components have been determined by using Multiple Linear Regression technique and the method using the weight in order to diagnose the single and multiple defects.

  • 다양한 인터넷 응용 서비스의 등장으로 인해 웹 서비스에 대한 사용자 요구사항을 만족시키기 위한 서비스 수준의 관리 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 지금까지의 연구는 웹서비스를 제공하는 서버의 성능향상에 초점을 두어 왔으나, 앞으로는 서비스에 대한 SLA를 만족시키기 위해 서비스를 제공받는 사용자가 느끼는 서비스 장애나 성능 저하에 대하여 원인을 분석하고 이에 대한 적절한 해결책을 제시해야 할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 관점에서 웹서비스의 성능저하에 대한 원인을 규명하기 위한 진단메커니즘을 제시하고, manager/agent 페러다임에서 발생하는 부하를 줄이고자 Mobile Agent를 이용하여 진단 시스템을 구현하였다. 본 논문의 결과로 응용서비스 제공자는 사용자나 망 제공자와의 서비스의 성능저하나 서비스 장애에 대한 책임규명을 명확히 함으로써 서비스에 대한 신뢰도를 높일 수 있을 것이다.
