HSM(Hierarchical State Machine) based LOD AI for Computer GamesS (게임을 위한 계층적 상태 기계 기반의 인공지능 LOD)

  • Many researchers and developers take a greater interest on the LOD AI techniques as users demand more elaborate and sophisticated game AI in recent years. However, contrary to the traditional geometry LOD, existing LOD AI techniques can be used only to a limited extent. Therefore, in this paper, I propose an LOD AI technique, which uses HSM(Hierarchical State Machine) and the Lua script language as the method to control game objects. Using the proposed approach, we can easily produce multilevel AI models for LOD and design various objects without hard-coding state machines. Moreover, in order to show the effectiveness of the presented technique, this paper exemplifies the results of the efficiency test through the prototype engine.

A Fully Digital Automatic Gain Control System with Wide Dynamic Range Power Detectors for DVB-S2 Application (넓은 동적 영역의 파워 검출기를 이용한 DVB-S2용 디지털 자동 이득 제어 시스템)

  • This paper presents a fully digital gain control system with a new high bandwidth and wide dynamic range power detector for DVB-S2 application. Because the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of DVB-S2 system is so high and the settling time requirement is so stringent, the conventional closed-loop analog gain control scheme cannot be used. The digital gain control is necessary for the robust gain control and the direct digital interface with the baseband modem. Also, it has several advantages over the analog gain control in terms of the settling time and insensitivity to the process, voltage and temperature variation. In order to have a wide gain range with fine step resolution, a new AGC system is proposed. The system is composed of high-bandwidth digital VGAs, wide dynamic range power detectors with RMS detector, low power SAR type ADC, and a digital gain controller. To reduce the power consumption and chip area, only one SAR type ADC is used, and its input is time-interleaved based on four power detectors. Simulation and measurement results show that the new AGC system converges with gain error less than 0.25 dB to the desired level within $10{\mu}s$. It is implemented in a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process. The measurement results of the proposed IF AGC system exhibit 80-dB gain range with 0.25-dB resolution, 8 nV/$\sqrt{Hz}$ input referred noise, and 5-dBm $IIP_3$ at 60-mW power consumption. The power detector shows the 35dB dynamic range for 100 MHz input.

  • AC servo system has been implemented to FA system and also depends on its quality. Recently with the development of power switching device and DSP which has peripheral devices to control AC servo system, the servo technology has met a new development opportunity. A DSP based AC servo system with a 3-phase PMSM is proposed. The newly produced DSP TMX320F2812-version C which has the performance of fast speed, 150MIPS, and rich peripheral interface is used.   • This paper describes the speed control of d.c. servo motor by PID method in loads. PID algorithm has mainly been used in industrial circles In spite of the development of various control theory. D.C. motor speed is controlled by a microprocessor (Z-80). The speed control of d.c. motor is experimented in transient and steady state. In this study, feedforward controller Is used for dealing with loads. When it is possible to measure loads, this feed forward controller is used with another controller. And also, satisfying control effect Is gotten by using it In system with loads. Therefore, It is proved through experiment that a new designed controller can control the speed of d.c. servo motor.

  • 선박 전력 시스템 설계에 관한 연구의 경우 실제 선박에서의 실험의 어려움 때문에 디지털 시뮬레이션에 의존해 연구를 진행해 왔다. 본 논문에서는 선박 전력 시스템의 보다 정밀한 실험 및 제어 알고리즘 검증을 위해 축소 모델과 실시간 시뮬레이터를 동시에 이용하는 새로운 실험 방법을 제안하였다. 실제 크기의 선박 전력 시스템은 직접 제작하기 어렵기 때문에 축소 모델을 이용하였고 복잡한 선박 전력 시스템의 일부를 실시간 시뮬레이터로 모의함으로써 실제 실험 세트의 구성을 간소화 할 수 있었다. 축소 모델 실험을 통해 선박 전력 시스템의 과도 상태 및 정상 상태 해석을 수행하였으며 이러한 시스템에서 얻은 결과는 추후 실선 제작을 위한 설계 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

  • We have proposed a transcoder which converts the MPEG-2 422P@ML bitstream into MPEG-2 422P@ML bitstream. properties of the MPEG-2 422P@ML profile and requirements for the transcoder are analyzed for the proposed transcoder. The MPEG-2 422P@ML profile permits several GOP structures, each of which has little resemblance. Such different GOP structures lead to a complicated transcoder which includes motion estimation, and have limited use of the side information in the bitstream. By computer simulations, we showed that the results of the transcoding is as good as that of the direct coder by MPEG-2 422P@ML.

  • 아주 오래전부터 우리 인류에게 영향을 미친것 중 두가지는 "새로운 시각을 표현하려는 것" 과 "지속적인 영상 신기술 개발" 일 것이다. 본 논문은 사이버 공간상에서 시각화 기법과 애니메이션 기법을 사용하여 컴퓨터와 인간사이에서 발생할 수 있는 가시화(Visualization), 조작화(Manipulation), 상호작용(Interaction) 등의 기술을 제공해서 사용자들이 흥미를 갖는 가상적 사이버 공룡 시스템을 제안한다. 사이버 공룡 시스템 구성은 "공룡 퍼즐 맞추기", "공룡애니메이션", "공룡 이름 맞추기", "공룡 그림 맞추기", "공룡 그리기", "공룡 그려보자",로 구성되어 있으며, 보조 버튼으로 "공룡 캐릭터", "공룡 아이콘", "공룡 원시자료"로 되어 있다. 본 시스템은 Java와 JavaScript를 이용해서 구현했으며, 사용자가 직접 공룡 자료를 제어하면서 컴퓨터와 인간 사이에서 발생할 수 있는 시각화 등을 디지털 애니메이션 기법을 이용해서 해결하고 데이테 베이스화 했다.

  • 본 논문에서는 싱글 보드컴퓨터(SBC)에서 마우스와 디지타이저를 이용한 입력장치설계에 대하여 연구하고자 한다. 산업용 제어현장에서 사용되는 SBC는 아날로그 방식의 입력장치를 주로 사용하지만, 현재의 컴퓨터 주변장치를 직접 사용할 수 없는 경우가 대부분이다. 본 논문에서는 PC에서 사용하는 다양한 주변장치를 SBC에서 사용할 수 있도록 신호를 변환하는 입력장치를 설계 제작하였다. PC 주변장치는 MCU를 이용하여 신호를 해석한 후, SBC 입력장치 신호형식으로 변환하여 제공하였다. 설계 제작된 입력장치는 마우스 디지타이져, 터치스크린 등 다양한 장치들을 SBC에서 사용이 가능함을 보였다.

  • The Internet of Things (IoT) interconnects every device by allowing them to communicate directly and share information with each other and has been recently applied to various industrial fields. The integration of home appliances with IoT has led to the creation of new markets by providing quick and better experience to consumers. Although IoT has been integrated into most modern day appliances, there have been few developments for kitchen appliances. This paper presents the development of integrating IoT with the blender, one of the most widely used appliance in the kitchen. A custom application was made to interact with the blender that provides three main functions: digital controller, maintenance, and defrosting alarm. The function of digital controller provides wireless control to the conventional blender. The maintenance function detects and alerts the user on blender reliability with the intent of enabling the anticipation of hardware failures. The defrost alarm alerts the user when the ingredient has reached the appropriate and desired temperature when cooking frozen food.

  • In this paper, we design the sliding correlator SS transceiver which supports short message service. We also analyze the PN code acquisition circuit that is essential for spread spectrum receiver. Using Maxplus II tool provided by altera Co., Ltd, we have designed PN code generator, and sliding correlator for PN code acquisition. Then, they have been made into FPGA by way of EPM7064SLC44-10 - a chip of Altera Co., Ltd. Additionally, we have designed delay clock circuit which is faster than the clock of Tx PN clock, designed switching circuit to control the clock rate and data demodulation circuit. The performance of the transceiver is evaluated from the experimental results. Especially, the performance of PN code acquisition accomplished by sliding correlator which is very important to evaluate spread spectrum receiver is evaluated with the comparison of the lock states.
