The Effects of Individuality, Relatedness on Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction in New Employees (신입사원의 개별성과 관계성이 조직몰입 및 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • This research is about the effects of individuality, relatedness on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. This research analyzed 140 new employees. We used four tools to assess the new employees: individuality scale, relatedness scale, organizational commitment scale and job satisfaction scale. The research was based on two questions. Question 1. Does individuality have any relation to job satisfaction and organizational commitment? Question 2. does relatedness have any relation to job satisfaction and organizational commitment? The results indicated a positive correlation between individuality and organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Results also showed a positive correlation between relatedness and organizational commitment and job satisfaction. According to the result of one way analysis of variance, the group which scored individuality and relatedness scoreabove the mean value best reflected the qualities of organizational commitment and job satisfaction.

A Phenomenological Study on Tae-um Experienced by Nurses in Hospital Organizations (병원조직에서 간호사가 경험한 태움에 관한 현상학적 연구)

  • This study is a qualitative study to understand the meaning and essential structure of the experiences of Tae-um (Workplace bullying) experienced in hospital organizations for nurses. The participants were interviewed by selecting 10 persons who agreed to participate in the research through SNS in the workplace with the cooperation of the hospital. The collected data were analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomenological method. As a result of the study, Tae-um in the hospital organization of clinical nurses was divided into 4 categories(Taking the terrible first step, A series of hardships that never end, Hang on to myself, Wings flight of for adaptation) and 16 It was derived from themes. In conclusion, it was confirmed that Tae-um, not only new nurses, but even nurses who have accumulated careers, are still in progress, so they are adapting to the difficult hospital organization. Therefore, if a psychological support program for nurses is introduced, it will contribute to solving the Tae-um problem and establishing an organizational culture where nurses are respected.

  • this study aims to analyze causality on the effect of job satisfaction on vocational adaptation of ex-prisoners through empirical study and to verify the moderated effect of self-esteem and the Moderated Mediation effect of the job stress. According to the analysis, job satisfaction have a static effect on Vocational Adjustment and the self-esteem have a mediated effect in this process. also, the indirect effects of job satisfaction on vocational adaptation by self-esteem are moderated by job stress. advanced researchs study that job-related emotions affect vocational adaptation and maintenance, but psychological factors affecting vocational adaptation is not dealt with in depth, and what factors actually moderate this process is not explored in detail. also, becausea there are few studies related to the job of ex-prisoner, this study carried out full-fledged exploration and verification of it.

Adaptation Process of Nurses Who Return to Work after Parental Leave (육아휴직 후 직장에 복귀한 간호사의 적응과정)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to generate a grounded substantive theory of the adaptation process of nurses who return to work after taking parental leave. Methods: Individual in-depth interviews with 13 participants were conducted between June and September 2014. Participants were interviewed 1~3 times; interviews were continued until the data became saturated. Data were analyzed using Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory method. Results: The core category of experience of the process of adaptation as a nurse who returned to work after parental leave was 'trying to regain one's previous position'. Participants used five interactional strategies: 'preparing in advance', 'initiating relationships with colleagues', 'keeping a positive attitude', 'understanding parenting helpers', 'Taking burden off one's mind'. Conclusion: The results of this study provide a theoretical basis for the adaptation process of nurses returning to work after taking parental leave. The importance of improving nurses' attitudes to their co-workers who take parental leave is highlighted along with the necessity of providing a family-friendly work environment. These results can be used to develop supportive policies and programs for nurses who return to their work after parental leave.

  • This study is a life history on self-realization of woman in the abstinence of alcohol process. The purpose of the study is to explore the circumstance of female alcoholism, to expand the prospect of discussion for treatment and recovery, and to suggest social welfare intervention measures. The study involved a female alcoholic who had been recovering for more than seven years, and the text for life history analysis was divided into 'dimension of life', 'turning point' and 'adaptation' based on the life history analysis framework proposed by Mandelbaum. As a result of the data analysis, 'dimension of life' was analyzed into three areas, such as the personal level of life, the family level of life, and the social dimension. 'Turning point' is to escape from a father who drinks alcohol and uses violence, to give up his job to avoid boss's abuse, and to proceed one's own way of healing. 'Adaptation' was derived into good at studying, relieving anger by drinking alcohol, and referring to AA and self-realization. Based on these findings, this study presented the social welfare practice and policy discussion focused on self-realization.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore how security science graduates in casinos are socialized into the workplace. Participants for this study were seven security guards who work for two of three casinos for foreign customers in the city of Seoul. All the participants majored in the security science in colleges. They had 1 to 5 years of work experience. Their main job responsibilities were deterrent to crimes and watch for impending danger in the casinos. A variety of qualitative data collection techniques for this study included formal and informal interviews, stimulated-recall interview, observations, and field notes. Analytic induction and constant comparison were utilized to analyze data. Triangulating and member checks were employed to enhance trustworthiness. The findings of this study were as follow: Firstly, In acculturation, sports experience and media attraction were revealed as factors. Secondly, In professional socialization, college education and senior students in the program were found. Lastly, organizational socialization, Difficulty of relationship, lack of risk management training, lack of team cohesion, pride himself as a security guard, and unclear evaluation system. In conclusion, a variety of influential factors appeared through his occupational socialization even though there were negative and positive factors.

Effect of Job Search Channels on Occupational Adaptation of College Graduates : Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Person-Job Fit (대졸자의 구직경로가 첫 일자리 직업적응에 미치는 영향 : 개인-직무 적합성의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This paper analyzed the effect of job search channels on the occupational adaptation of college graduates, with the Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey(GOMS) data. The analysis results are as follows: First, when using human networks for getting jobs, not only the educational level and major adequacy, but also the workplace satisfaction and the job satisfaction were higher than when using non-human networks. Second, as in the mediating effect of the relationship between job search channels and occupational adaptation by Sobel-test, it was found that there was a partial mediating effect of educational level and major adequacy, excluding skill level adequacy. The results of this study shows that human networks, by serving as an effective information transmitter on person-job fit between job search and recruitment, contribute significantly to improve occupational adaptation of college graduates. These results imply that strategic utilization of human networks in job search activities is important, and that it is necessary that career-related programs in the universities or the employment service institutions systematically include the importance and methods of using human networks.

  • The aim of palliative radiotherapy (RT) is to control cancer-related local symptoms with minimal radiation reaction. About one third of all radiation treatments are given with palliative intent. Indications for RT in symptom palliation are as follows: Pain from bone metastasis, pressure symptom from brain and spinal cord, obstruction of bronchus, esophagus, superior vena cava and malignant cancer bleeding from bronchus, urinary tract, uterine cervix and rectum. In hospice palliative care, RT is very effective for symptom palliation and improvement of quality of life without influence on survival.

Effect of Maternal-Fetal Attachment and Social Support on the Maternal Role Adaptation of Employed Mothers in Convergence age (융복합 시대 취업모의 모성역할적응에 모아애착 및 사회적 지지가 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide information necessary to strengthen maternal role adaptation of employed mothers by identifying factors affecting maternal role adaptation of employed mothers with young children. The subjects of this study were convenience extracts from 137 employed mothers with infants under 24 months of residence in H city, Gyeonggi-do. Data were processed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and stepwise regression analysis. As a result of the study, maternal role adaptation was positively correlated with mother attachment(r=.488, p<.001) and social support(r=.718, p<.001). Social support(β=.616), baby status at birth(β=.123), current breastfeeding status(β=.127) and maternal attachment degree(β=.141) affect the maternal role adaptation of employed mothers. The explanatory power of regression analysis was 55.5%(F=43.487, p<.001). As a result of the study, social support was found to be the most important factor influencing maternal role adaptation of employed mothers. Various intervention strategies for promoting social support in families, workplaces and communities are required for maternal role adaptation to employed mothers.

Mothers' Expectation on School Adjustment of Their Preschool Children and Mothers' Perception of Parenting Efficacy and Children's Competence (어머니의 유아기 자녀 학교적응기대와 부모효능감 및 자녀유능성 인식과의 관계)

  • This study aims to understand the relationship between mothers' expectation on school adjustment of their preschool children and mothers' perception of their parenting efficacy and their children's competence. Subjects were 340 mothers of 4-5 year old children attending child care centers and kindergartens located in Seoul and Kyunggy area. Test on elementary school children's school adjustment by Lim(1993). Parenting sense of competence adapted by Shin(1997), and Self-Perception profile for children' competence adapted by Jeon(1992) and Suh(1999) were adapted and used to measure mothers' expectation of their children's school adjustment, mothers' perception on their parenting efficacy and children's competence each. The data were analyzed by t-test, Correlation, simple and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows. Mothers who have jobs and have graduated university or more showed higher expectation on school adjustment of their children. Mothers also expect higher school adjustment of their daughters and of not the first child in their family. The more mothers percept their parenting efficacy, the higher they expect their children's school adjustment. Mothers's perception on their children's competence also showed same relationship with expectation of their children's school adjustment, that is, the more mothers percept their children's competence, the higher they expect their children's school adjustment.
