The Gender Differences in the Effects of Work-Family Conflict on the Life Satisfaction and Job Attitudes (직장-가정간 갈등이 삶의 만족 및 직무 태도에 미치는 효과에 있어서의 성차: 우리나라 관리직 공무원들을 대상으로)

  • Based on the gender role perspective, this study explored the differential effects of work-family conflict(WFC) on the life satisfaction and job attitudes(job satisfaction and involvement) between men and women by analysing the data collected from about 240 married government officers including both sex. The results showed that both men and women had the higher level of WIF(work interfering family) than that of FIW(family interfering work), and that FIW of women was higher than that of men. The results also showed that WFC(WIF and FIW) had differential effects on the life satisfaction and job attitudes between men and women. Specifically, WFC of women had significant negative effect on the life satisfaction and the job involvement, However WFC of men had no significant effects on them.

Spillover Between Job Satisfaction and Marital Satisfaction : Focusing Mediating Effect of Partner Abuse (기혼 직장인들의 직무만족도가 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향 : 부부폭력 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study set out to investigate relationship between job satisfaction and marital satisfaction and especially mediating effect of partner abuse. Data came from Korea Welfare Panel Survey 2017. The final sample size was 2,610 married employed persons in South Korea. Analysis methods were multiple regression analysis. The major findings of this study are as follows. First, higher job satisfaction influenced directly higher marital satisfaction, and influenced also indirectly through lower partner abuse. Second, married employed women showed lower level of marital satisfaction than married employed men. Third, married employed women's job satisfaction was more influential factor to explain marital satisfaction than married employed men's. The limitations and implications of the findings from this study were discussed with respect to further studies.

Factors Affecting the Turnover Intentions of Small and Medium Construction IT Workers (중소건설 IT종사자의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • It has been widely spread that the acquisition and retention of the core personnel is very important for improving firms' competitiveness. Many companies have made a lot of efforts to keep these core personnel, job embeddedness and work satisfaction are important factors which make effects on workers turnover. Prior research applying for many different industries do not show the consistent research results. There is no empirical research applying for construction IT industry which information technology has been playing more important role because of u-city etc. Therefore, in this research job embeddedness and work satisfaction are to be measured and the relationship with turnover intentions are to be investigated focusing on small and medium construction IT workers. The sub-constructs of job embeddedness are fit, links and sacrifice, and the sub-constructs of work satisfaction are career satisfaction and job satisfaction. It is empirically tested how these factors can have effects on the turnover intentions. Field surveys targeted to construction IT workers were done and finally 177 survey questionnaires were used to analyze. Research results show that if the sacrifice, career satisfaction and job satisfaction of small and medium construction IT workers are higher, turnover intentions will be lower. On the other hand, 2 hypotheses are rejected that if the fit and links of these workers are higher, turnover intentions will be lower. These research results clarified the factors affecting the turnover intentions of small and medium construction IT workers and can be utilized how turnover intentions can be decreased practically.

A Structural Analysis of the Factors Affecting Career Development Activities of Married (유자녀 여성관리자의 경력개발활동에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 구조적 관계 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting career development activities of married managerial women with one or more children. The study analyzes the structural casual relationship among horizontal organizational culture, supervisor support, workplace satisfaction, occupational self-efficacy, and career development activities. Data of from Korean Women Manager Panal(KWMP) research were used from which a total number of 998 married managerial women with child were subject to analysis. The research hypothesis was verified through Structure Equation Modeling(SEM) analysis. The results are as follows. First, horizontal organizational culture and supervisor support have significant positive(+) affect on workplace satisfaction and occupational self-efficacy. Second, occupational self-efficacy significantly affected career development activities. Third, workplace satisfaction and occupational self-efficacy had mediating effect on the causal relationship between horizontal organizational culture and career development activities. At last, workplace satisfaction and occupational self-efficacy had mediating effect on the causal relationship between supervisor support and career development activities. Based on such results, implications and suggestions were discussed.

The effects of workplace bullying on turnover intention in hospital nurses (간호사의 직장 내 괴롭힘이 이직의도에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of workplace bullying of turnover intention in hospital nurses. The subjects were 500 nurses in general hospitals. Data were collected by self-administered questionnaires which were gathered March 1 to 20 in 2014. and analyzed by hierarchical multiple regression. In conclusion, turnover intention shows the positive correlation with workplace bullying while indicating the negative correlation with nurses' work environment, emotional intelligence and job satisfaction. Also, the workplace bullying had a significantly positive effect on turnover intention. The nurses' work environment, emotional intelligence and job satisfaction had negative effects on turnover intention. The job satisfaction was the mediating effect on the workplace bullying in turnover intention. The results of the study showed the importance of workplace bullying, nurses' work environment, emotional intelligence and job satisfaction in explaining turnover intention of nurses. The convergence programs to prevent workplace bullying should be developed and implemented to the nursing organization.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the availability of family-friendly systems for female workers with children under elementary school, and to verify that the availability of family-friendly systems can mitigate the negative effects of workplace-home conflicts on family and work-life satisfaction. To this end, data of 538 female employees with children younger than elementary school students were analyzed using the sixth data of the Korean Women Manager Panel. According to the analysis, the type of family-friendly system such as time flexibility system, career flexibility system, and worker support system all showed significant adjustment effect in relation to workplace-family conflict and work life satisfaction. The career flexibility system was the only one that showed a control effect on family life satisfaction. To help talented female workers work for their children without severing their careers, the government proposed active support for businesses and the government to help them use the family-friendly system.

  • 20년 3월부터 본격화된 코로나 팬데믹은 전세계경제에 큰 충격으로 불확실성은 더욱 커져 경제생태계 대변혁의 시대를 맞이하고 있는 가운데 고령 인구의 증가, 생산인구의 감소와 더불어 20년 12월 기준 직장의 폐업과 정리해고, 경영부진 등 비자발적인 일자리를 떠난 사람이 19년 대비 48.9%(2020 통계청) 증가, 직장인의 퇴직 평균연령도 51.7세로 직장인 의지와 관계없이 조기 은퇴가 불가피한 상황이다. 한편 직장 근로자 10명중 8명은 창업할 의지가 있는 것으로 나타나 이제는 직장인의 창업은 선택이 아닌 필수로 인식하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 직장인의 기업가정신과 지속학습, 보상만족, 고용가능성이 창업의지와 어떠한 상관관계를 가지고 있는가를 조사하고 혁신행동이 매개역할을 하는지에 대해 분석하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 직장 재직자의 기업가정신과 직장생활 과정에서 지속학습, 보상만족, 고용가능성이 창업의지에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구를 혁신행동의 매개효과를 중심으로 진행하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 재직자의 기업가정신과 지속학습, 보상만족, 고용가능성이 혁신활동을 증가시키고, 증가된 혁신활동이 창업의지에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 인과적 경로를 검증하고자 한다. With Corona의 불확실한 경제여건에서 조직은 생존을 위한 끊임없는 변화를 추구함에 따른 재직자의 고용불안은 가중될 것이며, 100세 시대를 준비해야 하기에 창업은 필수적 상황으로 창업의지를 종속변수로 설정하여 본 연구를 진행하였다.

  • 최근 이슈가 되고 있는 직장내 괴롭힘은 가해자가 피해자에게 정신적, 신체적 건강에 악영향을 주는 대표적인 이직요인이 되고 있다. 직장내 괴롭힘을 발생시키는 폭력은 그 폭력의 강도가 다소 약한 상태의 공격적 행동을 피해자 에게 전달하지만 이를 지속적이며 비신처제적인 공격으로 인해 피해자의 입장에서는 결국 강한 폭력과 같다고 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 이러한 직장내 괴롭힘을 직무소진이라 하고 직무만족과 직무이직에 어떠한 요인이 가장 크게 작용하는지를 알아보고자 한다.

  • Recently the company is getting bigger and has many employees. Therefore, sometimes, the uniform internal marketing devices for whole employees are inappropriate because they are different demographic aspects. To find efficient internal marketing factors, this paper analyzes empirically the determinants of employee's satisfaction to their firm, by group based demographic aspects(male and female : 2 groups, ages : 3 group, employment period : 3 groups), for a insurance claim adjuster company As a result, it is found that the psychological factor has the statically significant determinant in all the 8 groups, with biggest positive coefficient in the 7 groups. Other factors, such as the organizational factor, the individual factor and spatial factor are statically significant determinant depending on the groups differently.

  • This study verified the determinants of years in service of youth employee by analyzing panal data. The study results showed that sex, age, education, marital status, full-time job, wage, employment stabilization, household earned income, benefit package, fairness of performance evaluation determined years in service of youth employee. Also, years in service was longer in male, higher age, married, lower household earned income, full-time job, age-limit system, possible to work continuously, corresponding to mager, higher wage, higher job satisfaction group. This study provided practical implication to prepare effective emplyment policy for maintaining long-term and stable youth employment by confirming the determinants of years in service of youth employee.
