Field Perceptions on the Staffing Situation of Academic Libraries (대학도서관 인력 현황에 관한 현장 인식 조사)

  • In this study, we analyzed the trends in staffing changes in academic libraries over the past ten years and surveyed staff working there to assess their perceptions of staffing levels and the current criteria for staffing allocation in academic libraries. We utilized statistical data from academic libraries to analyze staffing changes from 2014 to 2023. The survey was conducted through an online questionnaire targeting library staff, and responses from 216 respondents from 4-year universities and junior colleges were analyzed. The analysis of staffing changes revealed a decrease in the average number of employees in large 4-year universities and junior colleges, with a decrease in regular positions and an increase in non-regular positions. Survey results suggest causes such as declining school-age population and admissions quotas, budget shortages in universities, and structural adjustments. The perception of staff from 4-year universities and junior colleges regarding the criteria for staffing allocation was mainly negative, suggesting improvements such as increasing and refining criteria numbers, specifying standards for full-time librarians, clarifying criteria for compliance, and enhancing enforcement of standards. The results of this study can enhance understanding of staffing situations in academic libraries and serve as fundamental data for improving staffing criteria in the future, based on an understanding of librarians' perceptions on the ground.

A Survey of Sanitation Management Practices of School Food Ingredients Manufacturing Company Workers in Daegu and Gyeongbuk Province (대구.경북지역 학교급식 식재료 납품업체 생산직원의 위생관리 실태조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate factory workers' knowledge of sanitation management of school foodstuffs and sanitation practices. A questionnaire that identified employees' food safety sanitation management knowledge and practices was developed based on a review of literature. Subjects consisted of 221 factory workers employed at 34 factories in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas. Almost half of the factory workers were 40~49 years of age (45.7%), 34.8% had 1~3 years of work experience, 62.4% of the respondents received food safety education 1~2 times a month and 75.1% of the respondents were satisfied with sanitation education. However, the total score for factory worker sanitation knowledge was low: 4.63/9. Sanitation performance was self-evaluated using a Likert 5-point scale. The total mean score for the factory workers' sanitation performance was 4.63/5. Satisfaction level and the amount of sanitation education, application of sanitation knowledge, attitude regarding sanitation management, and sanitation management performance level were significantly high among workers employed in a HACCP certification facility (p<0.05). The difficulties were found to be sanitation management and the time to deliver food to schools. To instill a sense of duty and pride among workers and to ensure that the food suppliers provide best-quality school foodstuffs safely, school dietitians and factory managers must actively educate workers in safe food handling and sanitation.

The Moderating Effects of Emotional Intelligence in the Relations between Transformational Leadership and Organizational Commitment (조직 내 상사의 변혁적 리더십과 부하직원의 조직몰입 간의 관계에서 감성적 지능의 조절효과 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the moderating effects of emotional intelligence in the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment. To achieve the this research purpose, theoretical and empirical studies related to transformational leadership, organizational commitment, and emotional intelligence were carried out simultaneously. The established hypotheses related to transformational leadership, organizational commitment, and emotional intelligence were verified by the hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS. The result of this research are as followers : First, the hierarchical regression analysis revealed that moderation term was significant(${\beta}$=0.146, p<.01). The interaction term for charisma and emotional intelligence had a significant and positive relationship with organizational commitment. Second, the hierarchical regression analysis revealed that moderation term was insignificant(${\beta}$=2.295, p<.05) The interaction term for inspirational motivation and emotional intelligence had a significant and positive relationship with organizational commitment. Third, the hierarchical regression analysis revealed that moderation term was significant(${\beta}$=0.200, p<.001). The interaction term for intellectual stimulation and emotional intelligence had a significant and positive relationship with organizational commitment. Fourth, the hierarchical regression analysis revealed that moderation term was significant(${\beta}$=2.213, p<.01).

  • Recently the leak of personal information from in-house and contract-managed companies has been continually increasing, which leads a regular observation on outsourcing companies that perform the personal information management system to prevent dangers from the leakage, stolen and loss of personal information. However, analyzing many numbers of computers in limited time has found few difficulties in some circumstances-such as outsourcing companies that own computers that have personal information system or task continuities that being related to company's profits. For the reason, it is necessary to select an object of examination through identifying a high-risk of personal data leak. In this paper, this study will formulate a proposal for the selection of high-risk subjects, which is based on the user interface, by digital forensic. The study designs the integrated analysis tool and demonstrates the effects of the tool through the test results.

Machine Learning based Firm Value Prediction Model: using Online Firm Reviews (머신러닝 기반의 기업가치 예측 모형: 온라인 기업리뷰를 활용하여)

  • As the usefulness of big data analysis has been drawing attention, many studies in the business research area begin to use big data to predict firm performance. Previous studies mainly rely on data outside of the firm through news articles and social media platforms. The voices within the firm in the form of employee satisfaction or evaluation of the strength and weakness of the firm can potentially affect firm value. However, there is insufficient evidence that online employee reviews are valid to predict firm value because the data is relatively difficult to obtain. To fill this gap, from 2014 to 2019, we employed 97,216 reviews collected by JobPlanet, an online firm review website in Korea, and developed a machine learning-based predictive model. Among the proposed models, the LSTM-based model showed the highest accuracy at 73.2%, and the MAE showed the lowest error at 0.359. We expect that this study can be a useful case in the field of firm value prediction on domestic companies.

  • Purpose: The purpose of a role model is to find a master or expert who conduct their business effectively and work as a model that helps staff in charge to conduct their works effectively. This process is an effort to find out the deviation of work performance capability among staffs in charge and settle the work process to be optimized to practical business, the standardization of protocol. Materials and Methods: Seoul Asan medical center nuclear department developed 6~7 role modeling items and has applied it to work. I report two operation improvement cases we had applied a role model to Seoul ASAN medical center. Result: By comparison with none application of a role model, we could improve operation efficiency. Conclusion: The main purpose of role modeling is to make the employees who do the business in their charge effectively as a role model and contribute to work performance of employees who are lack of work performance although they performed their works hard. Our team is going to develop role model items continuously and to make a use of it to practical work then improve work performance. We regard it as a useful tool to performance improvement. The performance improvement by using a role model was very useful instrument.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the cognitive power from user who have used hotel management information system and to search contribution level for hotel management. The survey results are : There are different cognitions, between PKG and developed user system, short term employee and long term employee, reservation part and front office part. Specially IT service management parts(mostly outsourcing) have low degree cognition, because of lated supporting and being short of IT service management system. Hotel information system construction gives us to be easy management operating and to be fast management but Hotel information system has to lead value creation, to support decision making, to present advavced management for hotel.

A Study on the Improvement of Cadastral Surveying Fee System Applied to Individual Public Land Price (지적측량수수료의 개별공시지가 적용 개선방안)

  • This study presents the two major problems and those improvements of Cadastral Surveying Fee System. The system has been attempted to apply for Individual Public Land Price since 2011. To tackle those problems, this study examines a variety of literatures such as specialty publications, academic thesis, and reports from government. This study applies questionnaire survey method. And the data were collected by the personnel in charge of receiving cadastral surveying application in Gwangju and Jellanamdo branch, LX Korea Cadastral Survey Corp. In order to apply Individual Public Land Price to Cadastral Surveying Fee System, this study suggests subdivision of land at price and application of sample lot and land price standard index table. A number of curriculums provided by training institute in LX Korea Cadastral Survey Corp., education materials and cyber education method are necessary to promote awareness of personnel in charge. Publicity activities are also required to fulfill governmental basis.

  • The study was conducted to find out way that improves service quality for external customers by identifying the impact of Total Quality Management(TQM) on the internal customer satisfaction and then raising the personnel satisfaction measurement in medical institutions. To this end, we carried out a survey of 500 employees from five university hospitals in three metropolitan cities of Busan, Deagu and Ulsan and Gyeongsangnam-do province from February 2 to April 30, 2015, and utilized 476 cases for this study finally. First, in the result of analysis, the leadership of management hierarchy affects education and training and employee participation, but not human resource management nor quality of the work among quality management activities. Secondly, the culture of medical service organization has an effect on every variable of quality management activities. And finally, internal customer satisfaction is influenced by quality management activities, the leadership of management hierarchy and the culture of medical service organization.

  • 현재 심각한 재해에 대한 임박성은 일부 관계자 이외는 감지하지 못하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 재해와 같은 위기에 관한 지식이나 이에 대처하기 위한 기술은 어린 시절부터 습득해 두어야 할 기초적 지식 및 능력이라고 생각한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 대지진 발생이 임박하고 있음을 타인의 일처럼 생각하고 있다는 점은 재해와 같은 위기를 자신의 일처럼 생각하고 어떻게 대처해야 할 것인가에 대해 스스로 생각할 수 있는 기회가 충분하지 않다는 것에서 유래한다. 즉 체계적 실천적인 방재 위기관리교육이 충분하게 실시되지 않고 있다는 점을 지적할 수 있을 것이다. 특히 지역주민의 생명 신체 재산을 보호해야 하는 지방자치단체의 소방담당직원의 실천적 대응능력은 말할 것도 없고 수장(首長)의 리스크 관리능력에 대해 의구심을 가지고 있다. 또한 지역 자체의 방재력 강화라는 관점에서는 자주방재조직 등의 지역방재리더나 지역주민 개개인의 방재능력을 향상시켜야 할 필요성이 강조되고 있다. 최근에 건설된 신관저를 계기로 변화된 방재 위기관리 시스템에 관한 정책적 동향을 살펴본다. 아울러 방재 위기관리에 대한 인재양성을 위한 교육의 일환으로 구축된 e-Learning System인 e-College의 구성 및 관련 내용을 살펴봄으로써 정책적 시사점을 도출하고자 한다. 지방자치단체의 방재 위기관리에 있어서 수장 등 간부직원의 의식과 자세가 지역의 방재력을 크게 좌우하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 방재담당직원 소방직단원에 대한 교육과제를 들 수 있겠다. 고도로 도시화된 사회가 재해에 대한 취약성이 높아지고 있다. 지역의 방재리더, 재해자원봉사, 주민에 대한 교육과제로 도도부현, 시정촌, 대학에서 방재 위기관리 교육이 실시되고 있지만, 1999년 총리부(總理府)에서 여론조사를 보면 자주방재활동에 참가한 경험이 없는 사람이 전체 70%를 차지하고 있다. 기업에 대한 교육과제로 재해발생시에 사원이나 고객의 안전 확보, 사업의 피해경감 조기복구에 의한 경제에 대한 영향을 경감하기 위한 준비를 충실히 해야 한다.
