Identification of Employee Experience Factors and Their Influence on Job Satisfaction (직원경험 요인 파악 및 직무 만족도에 끼치는 영향력 분석)

  • With the fierce competition of companies for the attraction of outstanding individuals, job satisfaction of employees has been of importance. In this circumstance, many companies try to invest in job satisfaction improvement by finding employees' everyday experiences and difficulties. However, due to a lack of understanding of the employee experience, their investments are not paying off. This study examined the relationship between employee experience and job satisfaction using employee reviews and company ratings from Glassdoor, one of the largest employee communities worldwide. We use text mining techniques such as K-means clustering and LDA topic-based sentiment analysis to extract key experience factors by job level, and DistilBERT sentiment analysis to measure the sentiment score of each employee experience factor. The drawn employee experience factors and each sentiment score were analyzed quantitatively, and thereby relations between each employee experience factor and job satisfaction were analyzed. As a result, this study found that there is a significant difference between the workplace experiences of managers and general employees. In addition, employee experiences that affect job satisfaction also differed between positions, such as customer relationship and autonomy, which did not affect the satisfaction of managers. This study used text mining and quantitative modeling method based on theory of work adjustment so as to find and verify main factors of employee experience, and thus expanded research literature. In addition, the results of this study are applicable to the personnel management strategy for improving employees' job satisfaction, and are expected to improve corporate productivity ultimately.

Client Violence and Job Stress in the Nursing Homes (서비스 대상에 의한 폭력과 직무 스트레스: 요양원 및 전문요양원 종사자의 경험)

  • The study examined the extent of violence and the relationship between violence and job stress experienced by 182 direct care workers and nurses in Daejeon nursing facilities. The CTS2 was used to interview each helping professions in order to examine the extent of client-perpetrated psychological aggression and physical assault. Major findings are as follows: (1) For the preceding 12-month period, 79.2% of workers reported at least one incidents of violence. But their job stress was low. (2) To the extent that psychological aggression and physical assault are related. 43.4% of participants reported both psychological and physical violence, 35.8% reported psychological violence, 0.6% reported physical violence only, and 20.2% reported neither psychological nor physical violence. (3) Stress from care/nursing task was significantly associated with violence, especially both psychological and physical violence. Greater, targeted efforts are needed to reduce the prevalence and consequences of workplace violence.

Effect of theater service quality on performance satisfaction : focusing on customer experience value mediation effect (공연장 서비스 품질이 공연 만족도에 미치는 영향 : 고객 경험가치 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of service quality of a theater on the customer experience value and performance satisfaction and to test causality between variables. For this purpose, Study model was created from the previous studies and performed a survey with the customer who visited Performance Theater. In this study, employee kindness, facility excellence, convenience, and facilities were set as independent variables, and performance satisfaction was selected as a dependent variable. The cultural value and economic value of customer experience were examined as Moderating variables between two variables. Based on the results of this study, It was found that employee's kindness, facility excellence, and convenience have a significant effect on performance satisfaction in performing arts facilities. convenience, there was perfect mediated effect of customer experience between service quality of a theater and performance satisfaction centered on cultural value and economic value. The employee's kindness variable was examined as a perfect mediation of cultural value, and economic value as a sectoral mediation. The excellence variables of the facilities appeared as partial mediations in cultural values and as complete mediations in economic values. In the case of the auxiliary facilities, the significance test failed. According to the results of the research, it was confirmed that convenience service for customers is the most important variable. This result suggests that the service quality of a theater should be basically maintained in terms of the kindness of the facility and staff, and that the customer is more satisfied with the performance than the audience convenience service provided from the Theater. The venue suggests that customer service and reception, purchase of tickets, refund method, and staff training should be thoroughly done so that audiences can make the Theater.

  • The purpose of this study is to give some suggestions by examining what kind of effects the cynicism about the organizational change of the administrative staff in private colleges have on their job involvement and organizational commitment and by analyzing the difference between the colleges having experienced labor-management disputes and those without such experiences. The results of this study obtained by actual analyses and the suggestions provided based on the results are as follows. In the colleges having experienced disputes on campus, the cynicism about the organizational change reduces the job involvement and the organizational commitment of the members of the organizations. On the other hand, there are no significant effects of the cynicism about the organizational change on the job involvement and the organizational commitment of the members in the case of the colleges not having experienced disputes on campus.

  • With a distinction made between contract breach and contract violation, this study develops a structural model that investigates whether each dimension of contract breach influences experience of a contract violation in the hotel industry. At the same time, the impact of such a violation on hotel employees' work outcomes has been studied. One hundred and seventy eight employees, who are employed in five star deluxe hotels participated in the study and a structural equation modeling(SEM) is employed. The result indicated that good working relationship, and training and development, a so called relational oriented breach, make positively significant impact on contract violation. Whereas, benefits and salary categorized as transactional oriented breach does not. Also, the suggested employee outcomes including high turnover intent, low job satisfaction, and person-organization fit have been influenced by contract violation. As a result, hotel practitioners need to clarify the contract items prior to employment and during employment and to prepare to react to unmet promises.

  • 1. QA담당자로서 전문적인 지식습득 노력이 필요하다. 2. 직원홍보가 필요하다. QA활동이 자신의 진료내용 및 관련업무를 감시하는 것이 아니라고 홍보할 필요가 있다. 3. 의료인 특히 의사의 의식 및 행동에 변화가 필요하다. 4. 직원교육이 필요하다. QA를 쉽게 할 수 있는 방법을 교육시킬 필요가 있다. 복잡한 통계처리 방법보다는 쉽게 할 수 있는 단순비교방법이 더 효과적이라고 본다. 또 어떤 기준치와 역치를 설정하여 시행하기 보다는 지난번 조사결과와 비교하여 개선되는 정도를 파악하는 것이 방법도 더 쉽고 접근하기도 쉽다. 5. 긍정적인 면의 평가도 필요하다. 예를 들어 과잉치료억제보다 의학발전을 위해서는 최신 치료방법 장점을 파악하는 데에도 역점을 둘 필요가 있다. 6. 직원교육과 심도있는 QA활동을 위해서는 전담인력이 필요할 것으로 본다. 7. 경영진의 확고한 의지가 있어야 한다. 8. 병원 QA활동이 서비스 측면보다는 의학적 측면에 더 역점을 두어야 할 것이다. 9. 일반병원에서 쉽게 시행할 수 있는 평가대상과 항목, 기준을 QA학회와 임상학회차원에서 마련하여 주면 일선에서 QA활동하기가 훨씬 수월할 것으로 본다.

A Phenomenological Study on Experiences as a Dental Intermediary Manager (치과 중간관리자의 근무경험에 대한 현상학적 연구)

  • This study aimed at comprehending the duty, role, and difficulty of intermediary manager through in-depth investigation of dental hygienist intermediary managers experienced over 10 years working in a dental clinic. In-depth interviews were conducted with 10 dental intermediary managers and Giorgi's analysis method was used to analyze the data. Findings revealed that the work experience of the dental hygienist intermediary managers appeared in the range of "becoming an intermediary manager through various processes", "various duties that they experience as an intermediary manager", "difficulty as an intermediary manager", "ability that they perceive as necessary for being a dental intermediary manager", and "worthiness they feel as the intermediary manager". The dental intermediary managers complained of difficulties at work, and appeared to perform various tasks such as human resource management, clinic management support, and patient's management. Accordingly, the researcher considers that research on dental intermediary managers' capacity development necessary.

The Effects of Salesperson' Self-directed Career Management on Firm's Marketing Competitiveness Advantage (영업직원의 자기주도적 경력관리가 기업의 마케팅경쟁력에 미치는 영향)

  • Salespersons play an important role in strengthening a firm's marketing competitiveness advantage because they provide service through the direct contact with customers. This research tests several hypothesized relationships between their career performances(incomes, job satisfaction and organizational commitment) and marketing comprtitiveness advantage. The data used in this study to measure the hypotheses is 'Human Capital Enterprise Panel Data 2015(5th) that was collected by Korea Vocational Training Institute. The results showed that the earnings was not significantly different depending on salesperson's self-directed career management. The job satisfaction and organizational commitment of the salesperson positively affected firm's marketing competitiveness advantage, but the effects of salesperson job satisfaction and organizational commitment on firm's marketing competitiveness advantage were not significantly different depending on salesperson's self-directed career management. This study confirmed that it is necessary to regard career movement as the significant resources of the marketing competitiveness advantage as self-directed career management rather than a negative point of view.
