Effects of Annealing Conditions of Corn Starch Slurry on the Formation of Phosphorylated Cross-linked Resistant Starch (옥수수 전분유의 Annealing 조건이 인산가교 저항 전분의 형성에 미치는 영향)

  • The optimum annealing conditions of corn starch slurry were studied for RS4 type resistant starch production by phosphorylated cross-linking. When a corn starch slurry was cross-linked by using phosphate salts (STMP/STPP mixture) in the presence of 0.9%, 1.2% and 1.5% NaOH/st.ds, a high concentration of NaOH resulted in a rapid increase of the RS contents at the early reaction stage. However, similar RS contents were obtained after 12 h of cross-linking regardless of NaOH concentrations. The annealing treatment was conducted under various conditions such as pH between 2-10, temperature $40-60^{\circ}C$, time 0-14 h followed by phosphorylated cross-linking. The lower slurry pH was for the annealing treatment, the higher RS contents were obtained after cross-linking. When the slurry annealed for various period of time and temperature, a maximal amount of RS was formed after 2 h of annealing at $50^{\circ}C$ of annealing temperature of the starch slurry (pH 2.0). Therefore, an optimal annealing conditions at pH 2.0 and $50^{\circ}C$ for 2 h were proposed under the cross-linking conditions of sodium sulfate 10%/st.ds, NaOH 1.2%/st.ds and 12 h of the reaction time. The RS contents were linearly increased with the increase of phosphate salt addition. The RS4 prepared under the optimal conditions contained RS 72.3% and its phosphorus content was 0.36%/st.ds, which was below the limit (0.4%/st.ds) of modified starch by Korea Food Additives Code.

  • Micro-wire made from straightening process invents high added value and it has been adopted many industrial fields. Therefore, many research activities about straightening process are advanced actively. It is known that fine straightness of micro-wire can be obtained by removing residual stress induced during the manufacturing processes. Generally, residual stress is removed or minimized through several drawing processes with heat treatment. In this study, the residual stress at each straightening process is calculated and monitored by finite element analyses and the main reason of stress change is investigated.

  • 본 논문에서는 통계적인 특징 추출 방법을 사용하여 샘물체로 필기된 한글을 고속으로 인식하는 방법을 소개한다. 대부분이 직선 성분으로 이루어진 한글의 특성을 이응하기 위하여 입력 영상으로부터 수평, 수직, 사선, 역사선의 방향 성분을 추출하며, 검은 화소의 밀도에 따라 동적으로 그물을 결정함으로써 획 간의 접촉 변형에 무관한 특징 벡터를 추출한다. 이와 같은 통계적 특징 추출 방법은 크기 정규화나 세선화 과정이 필요없으며, 또한 샘물체라는 필기 형태의 제약에 의해 정합 대상 부류의 수가 현저히 줄어들기 때문에 인식에 소요되는 시간을 상당히 줄일 수 있음은 물론, 인식률을 향상시켰다. 제안된 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 샘물체로 필기된 KS 완성형 한글 2,350자에 대해 실험한 결과, 평균 90% 이상의 인식률을 보이며, IBM PC 486(33MHz)상에서 문자당 평균 0.17초의 인식 속도를 보임으로써, 실용적인 고속 OCR 시스템의 개발 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 여러 분야에서 공간적 물리량, 패턴 또는 분포 등의 공간정보를 공간적으로 처리하는 방법이 연구 개발되어 왔다. 공간필터링 또는 공간필터법이라고 불리기도 하는 이 기법은 현재 직선 회전 군속도, 표면거칠기, 토석류속도, 형상, 결함 등 여러 계측분야에서 활용되고 있다. 이들 분야에 활용되는 공간필터는 복수개의 슬리트로 구성되며, 최상의 계측목적을 달성하기 위해서는 최적하중함수를 설계하여 각각의 슬리트에 맞는 하중값을 적용하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 계측계의 간략화를 구현하기 위한 기초연구로서 기본이 되는 단슬리트의 구조 및 회전에 따른 필터링특성을 분석하였다.

  • 단련용 다결정 Ni기 초내열합금은 우수한 가공성, 내산화성, 고온특성 등으로 가스터빈 연소기, 디스크, 증기발생기 전열관 등 발전용 고온부품 소재에 널리 적용되고 있다. 최근 발전설비의 고효율화를 꾀하기 위해 작동 온도를 현격히 증가시키는 기술방향으로 발전하고 있고, 소재측면에서는 기존의 초내열합금 대비 고기능성을 확보할 수 있는 차세대 Ni기 초내열합금 개발이 유럽, 미국, 일본, 중국 등을 중심으로 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 소재의 고온강도 (온도수용성)를 향상시키기 위해서는 통상 규칙격자 금속간화합물인 $Ni_3(Al,Ti)-{\gamma}'$상의 분율을 증가시킬 수 있지만, ${\gamma}'$상분율이 증가할 경우 용접 및 후열처리 동안 용접열영향부 (HAZ)에서 액화균열이 발생할 가능성이 높아진다. 결정립계를 따라 발생하는 HAZ 액화균열은 입계특성에 의해 크게 영향을 받을 것으로 판단된다. 한편, 본 연구자들은 최근 입계 serration 현상을 단련용 합금에 도입시키는 특별한 열처리를 이론적 접근법을 통해 개발하였다. 형성된 파형입계는 결정학적인 관점에서 조밀 {111} 입계면을 갖도록 분해 (dissociation)되어 낮은 계면에너지를 갖게 됨을 확인하였으며, 입계형상 변화뿐만 아니라 탄화물 특성변화까지 유도하여 크리프 수명을 기존대비 약 40% 정도 향상시킴을 확인하였다. 이러한 직선형 입계 대비 'special boundary'로 간주되는 파형입계가 도입될 경우, HAZ 결정립크기 변화 및 액화거동에 미치는 영향을 고찰하고, 아울러 입계특성 제어가 용접성/용접부 품질 향상에 기여할 수 있는 가능성도 토의하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 재현 HAZ 열사이클 시험을 통해 미세구조를 정량적으로 비교하였다. 상대적으로 입계구조가 안정된 파형입계의 이동속도가 高계면 에너지를 갖는 직선형 입계보다 느려 HAZ 결정립 성장이 효과적으로 억제됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 입계 액화거동을 살펴보면, 두 시편 모두 $M_{23}C_6$, MC 등 입계탄화물 계면이 빠른 승온중 액화반응 (constitutional liquation)에 의해 입계가 액화되었으며, 이후 급냉에 의해 입계에 액상막이 존재한 흔적이 발견되었다. 최고온도별로 입계액화 폭/비율을 정량적으로 비교한 결과, 파형입계가 직선입계 대비 대체로 낮음을 확인할 수 있었으며, 때때로 액화되지 않고 잔존하는 입계 탄화물이 관찰되었다. 재현 HAZ 미세조직을 통해 Hot ductility 시험 결과를 유추하자면, 파형입계가 직선입계 보다 좁은 취성온도영역 (Brittle Temperature Range)을 나타낼 것으로 예상되어, 입계특성제어에 의해 Ni기 초내열합금의 용접성을 향상 가능성을 확인하였다.

The Study of Digitalization of Analog Gauge using Image Processing (이미지 처리를 이용한 아날로그 게이지 디지털화에 관한 연구)

  • In recent years, use of machine automation is rising in the industry. Ships also obtain machine condition information from sensor as digital information. However, on ships, crew members regularly surveil the engine room to check the condition of equipment and their information through analog gauges. This is a time-consuming and tedious process and poses safety risks to the crew while on surveillance. To address this, engine room surveillance using an autonomous mobile robot is being actively explored as a solution because it can reduce time, costs, and the safety risks for crew. Analog gauge reading using an autonomous mobile robot requires digitization for the robot to recognize the gauge value. In this study, image processing techniques were applied to achieve this. Analog gauge images were subjected to image preprocessing to remove noise and highlight their features. The center point, indicator point, minimum value and maximum value of the analog gauge were detected through image processing. Through the straight line connecting these points, the angle from the minimum value to the maximum value and the angle from the minimum value to indicator point were obtained. The obtained angle is digitized as the value currently indicated by the analog gauge through a formula. It was confirmed from the experiments that the digitization of the analog gauge using image processing was successful, indicating the equivalent current value shown by the gauge. When applied to surveillance robots, this algorithm can minimize safety risks and time and opportunity costs of crew members for engine room surveillance.

  • This paper presents algorithms which are region labeling and data structure of a boundary segmentation as image intermediate description process. In the method, the algorithms are region labeling, boundary segmentation, line and curve fitting and extracting data structure of each segment. As a result, a data structure of image is described by a set of region number, segment number, line or curve, starting point and end point of each segment and coefficient of line or curve. These data structures would serve for higher level processing as object recognition. For example we will use this data structure to solve the correspondence problem of stereoscopic image information. And we verified these algorithms through the image reconstruction of data structure.

Two-Chip Integrated Humidity Sensor Using Thin Polyimide Films (폴리이미드 박막을 이용한 투 칩 집적화 습도 센서)

  • A two-chip humidity sensor system has been developed which consists of a capacitive sense element die and a CMOS interface chip. The sense element was fabricated using thin polyimide films on (100) silicon substrate and showed excellent linearity(0.72%FS), low hysteresis (<3%) and low temperature coefficient(-0.0285 ~-0.0542pF/K) over a wide range of relative humidity and temperature. The capacitance-relative humidity characteristic exhibited a drift of 2~3% after 9 weeks of exposure to 4$0^{\circ}C$/90%RH. The signal-conditioning circuitry was fabricated using an 1.2- ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, one poly double metal CMOS process. The measured output voltage of the sensor system was directly proportional to relative humidity and showed good agreement with theory.

  • Various kind of disasters happens in our society. Most of them require immediate treatment to save life or to protect valuable products. When an accident happens in a place, it is reported to the headquarter of emergency measures system. According to the nature of accident several treatments orders are transmitted to the related authorities. In this paper, we introduce an intelligent emergency measures system that uses trigger mechanism of active databases. The system responds to various events spontaneously without intervention of mankind by triggering proper rules. The most important part of an action in the system is the capability of searching places to apply adequate treatments quickly. We have developed a new method for range queries and nearest neighbor queries which utilize the z-ordering technique to get fast responses. Those new methods are further extended to handle more realistic actual distance of road among positions.

  • Detection and processing techniques for small objects on seabed by the active synthetic aperture sonar can be increased the detection performance because it can be used by short sensor array in small unmanned underwater systems that are spatially constrained. But the limited conditions on constant speed and straight movement of the platform cause a large error in the number of external environmental factors and exact phase synthesis process. In this study, analyzed the applicability of active synthetic aperture processing that is mounted on such a system, and compared detection resolution change in accordance with the phase difference mismatch caused by the along track disturbance. Various simulations were performed as a coherently focus processing model by adding along track disturbance mismatched parameter on the configuring simulator. As the result, detection performance of active synthetic processing for small objects on seabed was found a number of changes by the phase difference mismatch errors according to track disturbances and S/N ratio variations.
