Cognitive Systems Engineering as a New Approach to Designing Software-Based Systems (소프트웨어 기반 시스템을 설계하는 새로운 접근법으로서의 인지시스템공학)

  • 소프트웨어 기반의 시스템 설계과정에서 설계자가 고려해야 하는 요소들이 다양해지면서 시스템 설계가 점점 어려워지고 있다. 다양한 설계 요소들이 존재하지만 사용자의 특성 및 직무, 사용가능한 정보기술의 특성 등이 핵심적인 요소로 간주된다. 또한 정보기술이 발달하면서 인간과 시스템의 상호작용이 점점 인지적인 특징을 지니게 되었다. 따라서 사용성 높고, 효율적이면서 안전한 소프트웨어 기반의 시스템을 개발하기 위해서는 시스템 설계자가 사용자의 인지적인 요구사항 및 그들의 직무를 시스템 설계과정에서 체계적으로 다룰 수 있어야 한다. 그러나 소프트웨어 공학, 시스템 공학 및 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용 등에서의 전통적인 시스템 설계 방법은 이러한 설계자의 설계활동을 효과적으로 지원하는데 한계가 있었다. 그 대안으로 인지시스템공학(cognitive systems engineering; CSE)은 인간중심의 설계철학을 바탕으로 소프트웨어 기반의 복잡한 시스템 설계과정에서 설계자의 활동을 체계적으로 도와줄 수 있는 유용한 개념과 방법을 제공해주고 있다. CSE는 원래 사람이 실시간으로 감시 및 제어해야 하는 복잡한 사회기술적 시스템(예: 원자력발전소 및 공항관제소)의 분석, 설계 및 평가를 위해 태동한 학문이다. 그러나 CSE에서 제공하는 이론적 및 방법론적 프레임워크는 소프트웨어 기반의 시스템을 설계하는 데에도 유용하게 활용할 수 있는 충분한 가능성을 갖고 있다. 이 논문은 CSE의 근간을 이루는 핵심 개념 및 원칙을 고찰하고 소프트웨어 기반 시스템 설계에의 활용가능성 및 그 방안을 논의한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 액티브 네트워크 상에서 강력한 자원 관리와 액티브 응용의 제어를 위해 접근제어 메커니즘을 적용한 안전한 리눅스 커널을 분석 설계하였다. 설계된 접근제어 모델은 직무기반 접근제어를 이용하여 권한을 효과적으로 통제하고, 신분 및 규칙 기반 접근제어를 이용하여 정보 및 시스템의 비밀성, 무결성, 가용성의 보장 및 시스템의 불법적인 접근을 방지할 수 있다. 리눅스 마이크로 커널 기반 접근제어 모델을 직무, 보안등급, 무결성 등급 및 소유권의 다단계 보안 정책을 기반으로 시스템의 불법적인 접근, 직무기반, 소유권 등의 다단계 보안 정책을 기반으로 하여 시스템의 불법적인 접근을 통제 할 수 있다.

  • Along with the rapid change environment, many organizations have come to consider a method of job analysis for better human resource management. Researchers and practitioners recognize that it is necessary to develop a new method of job analysis, however, there are not enough empirical studies. This research aims to clarify what kind of job analysis methods are proper to develop human resources ultimately. Its specific purpose are the following. First, to study representative job analysis methods theoretically. Second, to develop methods by its goal and practical use. Third, to show a empirical study in the real development case. This paper make contribution to develop a integrated job analysis method by contingent approach.

The Impact of Job Characteristics upon Corporate Performance in the Financial Industry (직무특성과 성과요인 간의 영향 관계 분석 -금융업을 중심으로-)

  • Existing research indicates that job design influences not only a worker's psychological well-being but also the individual and organizational performance. This study has been motivated by the need to provide useful implications for increasing the efficiency of business operations. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationships between job characteristics and performance factors in the domestic financial industry. The conceptual framework has been developed based on Hackman & Oldham's job characteristics model and the related literature. We conducted a survey of employees in the domestic financial firms to test the conceptual model and hypotheses, and analyzed the data using the structured equation modeling method. The results of the empirical analysis indicate that the variety and autonomy of a job positively affect corporate innovation, confidence, and job satisfaction and that corporate innovation and job satisfaction positively influence job commitment. This research designed to examine the relationship between job characteristics and organizational performance will make a contribution to the improvement of business efficiency in our society.

  • It is becoming more essential than ever for office professionals to become competent in information processing through fast response to the stimuli and needs coming from the current global business society which is controlled by the speed of improvement of information technology. Office professionals' success in business today depends on the level of job competency and the professional development that are required for problem solving in a global business environment. The main purpose of this research is to design a database for office professionals according to the recent result of DACUM job analysis for office administrators and implement a prototype with various kinds of services in five major categories such as human relationship management, event management, project management, special occasion management, and office knowledge management. The result of this study can be utilized to enhance the levels of both productivity and professionals.

The Effects of Restaurant Video Taping and Job Communication Drawing Board Production Activities on Cooking Job Skills of High School Students with Intellectual Disabilities (식당 비디오 테이핑 및 직무 의사소통 그림판 제작활동이 지적장애 고등학생의 조리직무기술에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was conducted with the aim of verifying the effects of restaurant video taping and job communication drawing board production activities on cooking job skills of high school students with intellectual disabilities. The study participants consisted of three students with intellectual disabilities enrolled in the high school course of a special school, and the experimental environment consisted of a kitchen in the restaurant and a classroom in the special school. For the research design, the technique of multiple probe design across subjects according to a single subject research was used. The intervention program consisting of independent variables was applied as a linkage procedure in which study participants videotaped the kitchen's environmental facilities, tools, materials, and staff perform cooking job skills and then taped data from the classroom scene on a job communication drawing board. Cooking job skills consisting of dependent variables are defined as the performance of research participants cooking gimbap directly in the kitchen of the restaurant. As a result of the study, it was found that participants effectively acquired, maintained, and generalized cooking job skills through intervention programs.

  • The past quantitative analysis of the demand for job skill training had mainly focused on personnel shortage and oversupply, so it has the problems of the qualitative discrepancies called skill mismatch. As a supplementary study relating to specific industries and occupations, a discussion to improve the job skills training programs through a qualitative analysis is needed. This study provide the analysis of urgency evaluation using the relative importance and gap of the job skill elements in the display industry. And renewal possibilities of the training program based on this qualitative bottom-up approach will be discussed. We carried out a job skill demand survey in the display industry as research methods. Industry related jobs and each job task, the qualitative demand for each job skills, and procurement methods for each job skills were analyzed. Adequate supply of vocational training programs have tried to find ways by illustrating some related training courses.

Effects of Training on Workers' Job Satisfaction: A Case of Chinese State-Owned Companies (조직구성원의 교육훈련이 직무만족에 미치는 영향: 중국 국유기업을 대상으로)

  • Chinese state-owned companies play an important role in national economy. Since training ensure gaining capabilities of human resources, the companies emphasize the importance of training human resources, also invest a lot of resources on training. The aim of this study is to find out the effect of training on job satisfaction and the mediating effect of self-efficacy. A total of 299 questionnaires is collected from Chinese state-owned companies to collect data and for hypothesis testing. The results show that training has a positive influence on internal and external job satisfaction. It is also found that a mediating effect of self-efficacy between training and job satisfaction.
