Implementation of Muti-channel Serial Device of Embedded Linux System for Remote Control Monitoring System (원격 제어 모니터링 시스템을 위한 임베디드 리눅스 시스템의 다중 채널 직렬 장치 구현)

  • A Multi-channel serial device using the embedded Linux system is designed for a remote controlling and monitoring system. The proposed device consists of a FIFO, a state machine, and an interrupter. The device program written in embedded Linux enables the effective programming of device. While the conventional multi-channel serial devices accesses every individual serial devices, the proposed device accesses the multi-channel serial device as if it is a single serial device. The device efficiently performs the multi-channel serial input/output operation and has fast access time than the conventional multi-channel serial device.

  • 멀티미디어 통신이 원활히 이루어지기 위해서는 큰 대역폭과 일정한 전송능력을 보장해 줄 수 있는 통신 네트웍이 필요하다. 최근 표준화된 1394직렬버스는 일정 대역폭을 보장해주는 등시성 전송모드가 있어 멀티미디어 통신수단으로 각광받고 있다. 본 논문에서는1394직렬버스가 가지는 비동기 전송 모드와 등시성 전송모드, 그리고 주조 체계등 몇가지 특성에 대하여 알아보고, 이와같은 특성을 활용하여 고성능 화상전화시스템을 구현하고, 그 유용성을 살펴보도록 한다.

  • IoT could be applied to various areas because of the important role of sensor. The existing sensor communication method is to quickly transmit data by using clock and two data pins based on the I2C serial communication method. As the objects used are gradually light-weighted and the amount of data transmission is decreased, the simplification of hardware is more emphasized as an essential design element than the speed of transmission. This paper designed a circuit to send/receive data in series, and also realized arduino, by analyzing the existing communication method and then using a single pin for light-weight. The single pin serial communication could reduce power consumption, which is suitable for the sensor area using digital communication of IoT area.

  • This paper presents a method of designing a Bit-Serial Reed-Solomon encoder using Berlekamp's Bit-Serial Multiplier Algorithm and the implementation of the (255, 223) Bit-Serial Reed-Solomon encoder using TTL logics. It is shown from these results that this encoder require substanitially less hardware than the convenional Reed-Solomon encoders.

  • 유한체(Galois Field) 상에서의 곱셈(multiplication)을 구현하는 방법은 크게 병렬 곱셈기(parallel multiplier)와 직렬 곱셈기(serial multiplier)로 나누어질 수 있는데, 구현시 하드웨어 면적을 작게 차지한다는 장점 때문에 직렬 곱셈기가 널리 사용된다. 하지만 이 직렬 곱셈기를 이용하여 계산을 하기 위해서는 병렬 곱셈기에 비해 많은 시간이 필요하게 된다. 직렬기법과 병렬기법의 결합이 이를 보완할 수 있게 된다. 본 논문에서는 복잡도는 직렬 곱셈기와 큰 차이가 없으면서 연산시간을 줄인 곱셈기*(multiplier)를 제안하였다. 이 곱셈기를 사용하면 복잡도는 크게 늘어나지 않았으면서 유한체 상에서의 곱셈을 하는데 필요한 시간을 줄이는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the serial interference cancellation scheme and proposed the new serial interference cancellation scheme suppressing multiple access interference. Compensating for the near-far effect and the multiple access interference is critical for the stable performance of DS/CDMA system, and the serial multiple access interference cancellation has been proposed as one of the compensation methods. But this serial interference cancellation scheme has a linear variation in the number of cancellation operation each users. Becaure of this variation, it is difficult to show a stable performance. Hence, we suggested a new serial interference applying window technique to overcome this fault and made a performance estiamation.

  • As h-bridge multilevel inverter is connected with series of single phase power cell, so it obtain high voltage using low voltage power semi-conductor and output voltage similar to sine wave. In this topology, the number of power cell increases in proportion to the output voltage level. Therefore, there are drawbacks that are responsibility against operating ability of main controller and signal wire increase. However, we can overcome this problems by the substitution of serial communication for the PWM signal in power cell control. Additionally, it has merits of reliability and maintenance. This paper deals with the synchronization and phase-shift method of power cell PWM using CAN(Controller Area Network) communication interrupt in H-bridge multilevel inverter. The advantages of proposed method are signal-line simplification using serial communication between main controller and cell controller, burden reduction in main controller, modularization of power cell, easy protection of each power cell, expandability improvement and reliability increase of control signal and power cell. This paper establishes propriety and reliability of proposed method through experiment of 13-level H-bridge multilevel inverter.

  • This paper handles, implementation of multiple access bidirectional serial communications protocol using DC power lines. The normal voltage of the power communication line maintains 24[V] corresponding to level 1 and the host drops the voltage to 12[V] on sending level 0 signal, also the clients normally keeps the line voltage to 24[V] use pull-down circuit to drop the voltage to 12[V] on sending level 1 signal. Host senses the voltage level of the power communication lines and the hosts switches power source from 24[V] to 12[V]. Experimental circuit is designed with one hosts and four clients and verified the power line voltage switching operation depending on the data signal levels on the power line.

  • In this paper new control strategy of series resonant converter system for power supply of communication station is suggested. Frequency controlled series resonant converter system is robust to load variations because it is POSR(Parallel Output Series Resonant: POSR) type. And it provides stable output voltage by changing switching frequency to input voltage variations. Firstly, operation analysis about suggested series resonant converter system was carried. Then simulations using ACSL(Advanced Continuous Simulation Langage) and experiments to actual system were carried to prove characteristics of suggested system.

  • In this paper, a multi-modem for process automation of non-destructive inspection (NDI) which possibly generates various kinds of data is implemented and verified. Here, a variety of data such as control signals, text data, image data generated by inspection devices, sensors, computers are transmitted to the multi-modem via serial, Ethernet, and coaxial cable. We exploit a communication network in which powerlines are used as backbone transmission media. Thus, the implemented multi-modem has various ports and corresponding interfaces for data transmission. As a result of practical experiments, the multi-modem maintains almost constant data rate with little waveform distortion. In addition, the experiments confirm that the modem operates normally under extreme variation of temperature. It is, therefore, considered that the multi-modem can contribute significantly to implement powerline communication (PLC)-based process automation for NDI in which various kinds of data are practically generated.
