The quality of service for the voice and data communication is one of the most important elements in the mobile cellular networks. This quality has the time varying characteristics depending on the wireless network environments. In order to guarantee the quality of service at the predefined level, the mobile service provider needs to collect all the information about the level of quality served by the local base stations. In the conventional method the information on the service quality is measured and collected by the moving vehicle adopting the global positioning device. However this method requires relatively high cost and does not cover all the service areas. In this paper a new method is proposed utilizing a measurement node with local area communication transceiver and the mobile user equipment. In the proposed method the node communicates with the user equipment periodically to monitor the information on the service quality. The resulting information is reported to the measurement server in the mobile network. This method could be applied to either the circuit or the packet based networks. It also has an advantage in terms of the cost efficiency compared to the conventional method considering the required the equipment and the human resources.

According to increasing in number of smart phone subscribers to offer the convenience of users, wide range of applications in various fields have emerged. Recently, a lot of applications are being developed to provide a way of receiving information according to the user's current location. Also, the news seems difficult to provide the necessary information among the numerous data. Especially, it is difficult to find the news that associated with the region. There are many applications that provide news, but there is no system to provide news information according to the user's location information in domestic, so users not receive the news of the region. In this paper, we propose a news retrieval application which provides users with news around by using the location information of smart phone users. Because this system provides news of the region, it has the advantage to obtain the around information easily. The proposed system, whose name is 'ChungbukN', provides news that receives data at chungbuk comprehensive daily newspaper 'Daily Chungbuk'.

Catalyzed by the recent development of space technology, various kinds of spacecrafts were launched and utilized with purposes in many developed countries. In case of emergency such as natural disasters, proper satellite images are required in order to help to mitigate and assess the effects of disasters on human life and property. Since there are limitations for a nation to single-handedly operate a satellite and fulfill complete demands, a development need of international cooperation organization to share satellite images among the member countries has risen. In this paper, preestablished four international organizations' background, objectives, and operating system, and their principal characteristics were analyzed and compared. Especially, the paper has focused on the analysis of on-going operating procedures and its cases for International Charter, UN SPIDER's development of local supporting network to support NFP, establishment of Web-GIS by Sentinel Asia under the goal of 'Digital Asia', and the utilization of GEO that is widely applied in natural disaster fields.

In multi-regional mobile agent computing environments, spatial replication-based approach may be used as a representative mobile agent fault-tolerance technique because it allows agent execution to make progress without blocking even in case of agent failures. However, to apply this approach to real mobile agent-based computing systems, it is essential to minimize the overhead of locating and managing mobile agents replicated on each stage. This paper presents a new mobile agent location management protocol SRLM to solve this problem. The proposed protocol allows only the primary among all the replicated workers of each stage to register with its regional server and then, significantly reduces its location updating and message delivery overheads compared with the previous protocols. Also, the protocol addresses the location management problem incurred by electing the new primary among the remaining workers at a stage in case of the primary worker's failure.

Many features of the Single Field version have been enhanced to provide user friendly interface. The County/Watershed version of NAPRA WWW system was further enhanced. The newly developed Web GIS version is an ideal tool for novice users, such as farmers, to simulate the effects of agricultural management for their farms because of its easy-to-use Web GIS interface. The NAPRA WWW system provides an easy to use WWW interface and uses spatial and relational databases to simplify the process of preparing model files. Thus, the NAPRA WWW systems now can be effectively used for nutrient management as well as pesticide management to identify the least impact agricultural management practices.

In this study, to set the direction of improvement and development Library One Service, a current status survey was conducted for regional centers and libraries participating in Library One Service, and satisfaction surveys were conducted for users. As a result, it confirms that the user had a positive perception of the Library One Service, but there were various considerations and service improvements from the user and manager side. In particular, the need to solve the problem of instability in the middleware server and to revise the regulations, and to expand the user service and support practical work was confirmed. So, this study proposed to improve the function of the Library One Service, provide new services, support policies such as revision of regulations and related guidelines, and provide practical support for a service operation. Through this study, it expects to be able to present a road map for mid- to long-term development of Library One Service.

The hand over between different radio access networks, especially where their coverage overlaps, suffers various complications since the different access networks provide different service characteristics. In this paper, it is about the system which can control the wireless LAN network management system and the wireless LAN access point of variety vendor which is in different areas. Successful development of mobile sink wireless LAN network management system which supports multi-vendor devices and have center-local interoperability structure. In proposed system, speed of the mobile station give about 10% improvement when the map domain size is 5 than the existing system. Through a data plane and management system of message way, it give a stability system and consistency network.

In this paper, it is possible to update the tourist information in real time, on/off-line tour proposes a solution(BBTS) based on a bluetooth beacon can provide tourist information without the need for wireless data network. BBTS consists of a bluetooth based data of the low-power supply system and the beacons and interoperable smart applications. Data supply system consists of the BLE & Beacon Pairing-based / non-pairing data transmission module with integral hardware. Smart application modules that provide indoor location of users information, internal server module and tourist information collection and information guide around comprised of applications. The proposed BBTS is possible that indoor service tourism tourist demand due to utilizing the beacon technology. Outdoor tourist information is designed to be downloaded to the smartphone receives the information received from the beacon APK file to provide services. BBTS system is expected to make a big impact on the smart tourism services industry.

Satellite communication is not used by many people like mobile communication, but it is a necessary technology for public service and communication services, such as providing the Internet in military, disaster, remote education and medical services, island areas, and infrastructure vulnerable areas. However, most communication modems have problems with two-way communication with server as IP addresses are assigned to floating IP that change every time they communicate with the network. In this paper, we used the Raspberry Pi as the controller of the terminal device to communicate the network through the satellite modem and the PPP protocol, and to solve the problem of the modem with the floating IP, we used the text message function of the satellite modem. Through this process, two-way data links using the Thuraya geostationary orbit satellite were implemented.

This study developed applications that allows truck drivers to record ore production data using smart devices at mine sites and to create a daily work report (operation report) in a PC environment. For this, four operating mines in Korea were selected as study areas, and daily work reports used there were investigated. The information elements included in the daily work report of each mine were analyzed. Because the information to be collected for writing ore production data and format of report are different for each mine, four types of applications were developed for the study areas. Ore production data could be recorded by receiving a signal from a Bluetooth beacon and by operating the application directly by the truck driver. The collected data files are uploaded to the cloud server, and the uploaded data files can be converted into a daily work report using the developed applications in a PC environment.
