The purpose of this study was to understand the subjective perception of Related group's Concerning the Identity of Community Children Center. Q methodology was applied of the study. 23 Q-statements were created based on selected 337 statements and were classified by 40 candidates who related Community Children Center. The obtained data were analyzed by means of PC Quanl program. The result showed that the identity of Community Children Center were classified in 4 types. The types included "Type I: the leading agency for children, families and communities", "Type II: Agency that operated by dedication and commitment" "Type III: Center that complements the family" "Type IV: Systematic operational support standardization is required. In conclusion, the results of the data revealed the importance of the various recognition-types of individuals related to the identity of the community children's center.

The aim of this study is to identify the spatial foundation units required to execute a rural village landscape plan. Though there have been various previous studies on spatial foundation units for rural space and landscape elements, they are limited in clarifying the landscape identity of a rural village unit in creating a feasible a rural village landscape plan. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the natural spatial features of a rural village and then establish a landscape identity for each space by exploring the landscape elements for each rural village unit set as the basic unit. Accordingly, the basic spatial unit was analyzed through a 1:5000 scale mapping by applying geomancy theory to the spatial landscape unit in a naturally generated rural village. The spatial limitations for a rural village landscape were set based on the analysis. Afterwards, a field study on the feasibility of whether or not setting a space as the basic unit for landscape could have a sense of identity as a single landscape unit for verification was processed, and the spatial limitations for the landscape were adjusted. Moreover, landscape elements were investigated by classifying landscape resources based on rural amenity resources which have been diversely researched in terms of the set spatial boundaries, and the sense of identity for each landscape foundation unit was looked into. While the numerous preceding studies focused on exploring the rural landscape value and findingout the sense of identity on landscape elements, it is high time for feasible and applicable studies in conducting region-specific landscape plans. In particular, similar outcomes from all landscape plans, even those with the same purpose established in various regions, is not a desirable outcome. Therefore, a basic framework is needed to discover the landscape identity generated by each plan in a rural area space. In this sense, this study is significant in that itcan be utilized to establish spatial identity of each region and landscape features of each rural village, and come up with realistic alternatives in landscape plans for each region by exploring the landscape identity in each specific space divided per watershed in a single zone.

This paper investigates the regional distribution of female transnational marriage migrants by nationalities in South Korea. In addition, this research explores the regional distribution by nationalities, migration processes, and socioeconomic characteristics of female transnational marriage migrants in Chungcheongbuk-do in South Korea. Regarding the regional distribution of female transnational marriage migrants in South Korea, using location quotient, this study seeks to categorizes cities and counties in South Korea into five groups. Furthermore, using Thomas method, this paper tries to stereotype cities and counties in Chungcheongbuk-do into six groups, in order to identify significant nationalities in each group. The concept of transnationalism refers to the recent phenomenon that transnational social networks are prominent, linking societies at the global scale, as international migration has been rapidly increasing due to the globalization. Transnationalism provides insight into the in-depth understanding of socio-spatial structure of international migrants, transnational social networks, transnational identities, cultural hybridization, and so on.

This study was performed to propose a improvement guide for the region of Seosan located at the north-west part of Chungnam province. Thus, this study recognizing that urban revitalization design of Seosan should be established based on inheritance of regional history and traditional culture. This study was processed with following procedures and methods. First, this study drew the recent trends and effective ways as proportion system of urban revitalization design through collecting and analyzing literatures. Second, performed to the survey of the consciousness consider urban environmental settlement of residents in Seosan using a statistical method. Third, carried out case studies as urban revitalization design of central area in Seosan.

많은 지역에서 구도심 개발이 지역정체성을 훼손하고 거주민의 소외라는 부작용에 직면하고 있는 가운데 가장 모범적인 도심개발사례 중 하나로 손꼽히는 부산 감천문화마을을 통해 지역의 문화와 역사가 어우러진 대표적인 명소로 자리 잡게 된 과정을 소개한다. 지역개발은 다양한 측면의 가치 창출을 동반하는 종합적인 기능과 더불어 관광수익의 창출이라는 경제적 가치를 추구한다. 감천문화마을은 구도심과 신도심간 양극화를 해소하고 지역이미지를 제고하는 차원에서 의미있는 도심재생사례가 될 것이다.

Many studies of Korean immigrants in America reveal that about 70% of them attend a Korean church. Within Korean immigrant churches members exchange information and advice while they maintain their cultural traditions and ethnic norms. Recently some 2nd-generation Koreans have gradually started their own Korean congregations, known as English ministries(EMs) while some of them leave their Korean Christian churches. The future of Korean ethnic society in America depends much on the extent of 2nd-generation Koreans' retention of their ethnic culture.

This study was to explore the effect of local community on participation of local festival. In order to carry out the empirical study, 320 survey questionnaires were collected in Cheonan. AMOS 4.0 and SPSS Win 12.0 statistics packages were utilized for analysis of SEM. The study results were as follows: first, analysis on the relationship between identity and participation of local festival(interest of festival participation, extent of local festival, intention of local festival) Showed that identity effected every factor of participation of local festival, second, dependence effected interest of festival participation and intention of local festival, third, social friendship can't effected every factor of participation of local festival.

Social geography in Korea has been studied centering around urban social geography which has been developed mainly in English world, and then there have been a few concepts and theories that were tested in the rural social geography of Korean rural landscape. This article tried to grasp the conceptual basis of German social geography, and had views on the rural social geography in the relent English world. As a result, the author concluded that the rural landscape would be a representation of rurality, a component of local and national identity, and thought to be not only a physical reality but social, mental, cultural reality On the basis of this consideration, the author explored major concepts which would correspond with the universality and speciality of Korean rurality. They are as follows: 'lineage group' as a geographical socio-group, the 'regionalization' by social groups, and 'the territoriality of settlement' as a social space.
