This study examined the relationships among financial capability, self-esteem and money relationship. For empirical analysis, the study conducted a survey of 429 users from 6 community center users in Seoul, Gyunggi and Chungnam areas in South Korea. Frequency analyses and structural equation modelling were carried out. The main findings are as follows: Firstly, household income had no statistically significant effect on the users' self-esteems. Second, the users' financial capabilities increased their self-esteem. Third, the users' money relationship problems lower their self-esteem. Fourth, the impact of financial capability on self-esteem was partially mediated by money relationship problems.

This study is to deeply investigate the process experience of making the local organization with the supervisors and the social workers-in-field with the research question, 'how is the project process of community building leaded by community welfare centers'. For this, 6 community welfare centers were selected among 22 ones participated in the public contest of Seoul Welfare Foundation, and 15 line workers including the top supervisors working there were selected as the research participants and interviewed. The interview source materials of research participants were analyzed using the method of consistent comparison of Strauss and Corbin(1996). According to the result of the research, the project process of community building leaded by community welfare centers indicated 4 phases such as 'the step of change of recognition', 'the step of mutual communication', 'the step of cooperation expansion', and 'initiative construction'. With the result of this study, I supposed political and practical tasks for promoting that local residents voluntarily build the community and the change of paradigm that is community welfare centers for local residents. Also, this study will be relevant that the result of this study is offered as base line data for extending theoretical and practical discussion about building community depending on characteristic of community and community welfare centers.

The purpose of this study is a qualitative Study for development of measuring social capital in community. The indicator of social capital in this paper was developed through 1) literature review 2) in-depth interview with community welfare network members 3) a qualitative Study for concept development in light of social capital about trust, norms, networks 4) focus-group meeting for content validity verification 5) a pilot-study and 6) a questionnaire survey. The indicator of 79 items for has been constructed with three features : The first is 'trust' with 30 items; the second 'norm' with 22 items; and the third 'network' with 27 items. Cronbach's alpha estimate of the indicator of trust was .948, norms were .899 and networks were .906. This study has been revealed to the reliability and validity and therefor it was an appropriate measurement of social capital in community. The social capital scale developed in this study is useful to be objective about operating condition of community welfare network and to seek ways for pursuing more efficient operations.

Social justice has been an interest of whole geographers for almost four decades. The conception of social justice includes fairness and equity in the distribution of a wide range of attributes. The purpose of this study is to understand social justice in geography of welfare. The theories of social justice are needed to describe relationship between social justice and geography of welfare. The evaluation of spatial variations in welfare is closely associated with social justice. Equality, equity, efficiency, and fairness are the reasonable criteria to apply to the evaluation of distributions of welfare, relating to distributive(or territorial) justice. However, there are complications in the spatial application of welfare evaluation criteria, including access across space, boundary crossing and ecological fallacy.

영국과 같은 서구 복지국가들은 최근 공공복지분야에서 많은 변화를 경험하고 있다. 특히 ‘신관리주의’에 근거한 ‘자치위임(devolution)’은 변화하는 복지국가의 중요한 특징 중의 하나이다. 영국에서 자치위임은 교육분야에서 가장 잘 진행되고 있다. 1988년의 교육법 개정 이후 영국의 초등학교들은 이전에 가지지 못했던 자치권을 지역관할교육청(LEA)으로부터 위임받았다. 특히 LEA로 부터의 학교재정에 관한 자치위임은 매우 중요하게 인식되고 있다. 지리적인 관점에서 이와 같은 공공복지분야에서의 변화들이 공간적으로 불균등하게 진행되고 있다는 점을 인식하는 것은 매우 중요하며 ‘자치위임’의 공간적 특성도 예외는 아니다. 본 연구를 통하여 영국 남부 사우스햄톤시의 초등학교의 자치위임은 지역적으로 매우 불균등하게 진행되고 있다는 것을 알 수 있으며 특히 이러한 불균등한 진행은 지역의 사회경제적 특성에 의해 크게 영향받고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

This thesis in the social welfare-related institutions in the Seoul area, art therapy and the therapist based on the status of welfare-related agencies in the community of art therapy is to present possibilities and challenges. Research results presented by Health and Welfare, where seven of the 14 kinds of social welfare facilities, participate in the survey and the target organ, 45.1% of art therapy's role in social welfare-related institutions and gradually establish the location was the result. Art therapy is to conduct the current difficulties in institutions about the environmental factors related to a professional therapist and art therapist in the therapist's expansion as a major research and maintenance was network. Welfare-related agencies and community relationships we maintain mutual relationship, and are formed within the community have an effect on consciousness and collectivization. To provide the opportunity which realize the value in the art therapy by applying more to expand the variety of professional method. First, secure the facility of art therapy environment and the therapists. Second, if the art therapy association secures the integrated system, it makes a connection with professional therapists to improve recruitment environment in the art therapy community and therapists need to be addressed by all involved is a challenge. Third, a therapist for the duration of training in order to access a variety of academic and clinical research is the importance of the process of learning the training and supervision is to discuss the issue.

The purpose of this study was to examine the understanding and perception of 'community welfare', a domain of social welfare. First of all, we used the Q methodology, a qualitative research, to typology the recognition of community welfare. For the analysis, we have obtained various terms (Q samples) that have been discussed and learned in the community welfare, and examined the types of recognition of these terms. For the analysis, 29 samples of 29 samples were obtained from 29 samples of P samples. As a result of analysis, three types were defined. In other words, emphasizes 'participation of residents', 'building ties', and 'improvement of life quality of residents' is named it "Quality of residents life-Relationship Type". emphasizes 'improvement of quality of life of residents' and 'satisfaction of community needs' and named it "Quality of residents life- Desire for community needs Type". emphasizes 'participation of residents' and 'improvement of quality of life of residents' and named it "Participation of Residents-Quality of Life Type". The respondents' characteristics according to type, it was found that there was a difference in recognition of community welfare by individual characteristics. So, we hope to enhance the usefulness of the hypothesis abductive approach and to extend the study to future quantitative research.
