Correlation Analysis of Marine Leisure Sports Wear -Focused on Body Shape, Age and Variable

  • This study investigated the purchase status, wearing status, purchase satisfaction, selection criteria, and improvement marin leports wear for subjects who enjoy marine leisure sports in the southwestern region of Jeollanam-do, and examines the correlation between age and body type and the correlation between variables. SPSS Ver. 26.0 program was used for analysis. In the correlation between the motivation for participation and the selection criteria, when participating to increase physical strength, it was selected based on the fit. When participating for leisure or hobbies, they were selected based on design and color. The relationship between the selection criteria and purchase satisfaction was not satisfied in terms of price when they were selected based on activity or utilization of other uses. As for the selection criteria according to the body type, clothing was selected based on price and fashion for large triangles and squares, and elasticity for inverted triangles. As for the preferred color by age, only those in their 40s preferred blue and other age groups preferred achromatic color. In future studies, it is thought that a study on the preference of each marine leisure sports item should be conducted.

A Study on the Difference of Perception about Traditional Food by Generations in Busan Area (부산 지역 전통음식에 대한 세대별 인식 차이 분석)

  • This study is to analyze the difference of perception about Korean traditional food by generations in Busan area. For the analysis of this study, both the cross tabulation analysis and Frequency analysis were used, by choosing the random specimen of investigation from middle and high school students, college students and general people residing in Busan area. The result of the study is as follows. First, the frequency of preference for traditional food is different by generations. Second, Korean traditional food is the most preferred among all generations. Third, menu is decided mainly for a father in the family. Finally, standardized and simplified recipes are needed for busy people. To improve the difference by generation, herbs or seasonings should be added or ingredients should be changed into ones suitable to young generation's taste. It is necessary for future studies to have extended samples nationwide for balanced specimen.

Preference and Actuality for Science Laboratory and Teaching Environment of Science Teachers' in Primary and Secondary School (초.중등학교 과학 실험실 및 교수 환경에 대한 과학 교사들의 선호와 실제)

  • This study carried a survey to investigate teacher's cognition on preference and actuality about science laboratory and class environment targeting 262 science teachers. The results of this study are as follow: First, the actuality cognition of science teachers on science laboratory and class environment was lower than preference (p<.05). Second, there were no differences between preference and actuality regardless of gender (p<.05). However, the cognition on all of subordinates of preference appeared higher in females than males (p<.05). Third, at all levels of schools, preference is higher than actuality for science laboratory and teaching environment (p<.05). In case of preference, all of the subordinates indicated the difference between elementary and high school teachers (p<.05). On the other hand, in actuality there was a difference between elementary and middle school teachers in 'science laboratory facilities condition' domain only (p<.05). Fourth, the preference was higher than actuality in all school locations (p<.05). And in case of preference, there was no difference in all subordinates regardless of school sites. Whereas the cognition of small-medium city teachers was lower than metropolitan in actuality on the three domains of 'science laboratory facilities condition,' 'teaching condition and service support,' and 'staff policy and practice' (p<.05). As a result, this study informs that upgrading is necessary to achieve inquiry activity in science class in overall teaching environment including science classroom and laboratory.

  • Environmental shape objects not only play a part as various cultural facilities but also symbolize local unique culture beyond the limit of functional role. Therefore subway environmental shape objects should be approached in terms of public installations and art and should be designed to accommodate and meet the needs of subway users appropriately. In order to find out what subway users think about environment shape objects in subway stations, the factors that can evaluate awareness and preference for environment shape objects and visual image of environment shape objects were examined and analyzed. Positive elements were shown with regard to environment shape objects a lot but it is judged that visual quality of subway environment can be deteriorated if environment shape objects do not harmonize with the characteristics of station environment.

A Research on Consumer Preference for a Forest based Korean Medical Healing Tourism Product (산림기반형 한방치유 관광상품의 선호도에 관한 연구)

  • Objective of this study is to provide basic information for developing more differentiated and targeted forest healing policy and Korean medical healing programs grounded on consumer preference for forest based Korean medical healing tourism products. The internet survey(CAWI) by percentage quota sampling with 400 Seoulite ages over 30 by the age, area, and gender was conducted, and 317 samples were used for a final analysis. 61.5% of the Seoulite associated 'forest bath/walking in the woods/tree' with an image of a forest based Korean medical healing tourism product, and preference for the product and the intention to use were positive at the percentages of 72.9% and 67.5%, respectively. Preferred areas were Seoul/Gyeonggi-do(53.5%) and Gangwon-do(38.8%). 'Stress solving and refreshment', 'taking a forest bath and a walk', and 'maintaining and promoting health' were the main purposes of the use. As for a therapy, 'walking therapy' was most preferred, and 'ergotherapy' was the next. First priority as for a use facility was 'healing trail', and 'professional medical facility' ranked second. Although important decision attributes were ' cost of use', 'food', and 'friendliness of medical staff', all the other sets of attributes related to use convenience, quality of medical service and tourism activities also recorded high, which forecasts higher consumer expectation for the product. As the result showing differences in consumer preference by the demographic segmentation, differentiated and segmented consumer needs should be considered when planing and managing a product. The scope of the study is limited to a demographic segmentation which is a basic stage of understanding consumer preference, therefore more detailed future researches on complicated and multi-dimensional consumer needs are required.

A Comparative Study on Cognition and Preference of Korean Traditional Food Classified by Age in Busan (부산지역 주민의 한국전통음식에 대한 연령별 인식 및 선호도 조사)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the Korean traditional foods cognition and preference classified by age in Busan. The survey was conducted from January 2 to March 31, 2008, by questionnaires and data analyzed by SPSS program. The results are summarized as follows: Thirty-four point nine percent of the subjects were interested the Korean traditional foods. Over 40's were more interested in the foods than under 30's. Most of the subjects (65.5%) were proud of the Korean traditional foods and the most proud food was kimchi in all of the subjects. The improvement for Korean traditional foods was indicated as cooking method. There was a significant positive correlation between preference of bab, juk, guksu, gug, jeon-juk-sun, gui-jjim, jigae, jorim, bokeum, kimchi, namul, eumcheong and cognition degree of the Korean traditional foods. Therefore, the understanding of the requirements and preference of the subjects according to age and sex is needed to develop our traditional food.

Analysis of Development Priority Using Regional Assets (지역자산을 활용한 개발우선순위 분석)

  • As a strategy for strengthening local competitiveness, efficient use of regional assets is becoming more and more important. The key to regional identity and competitiveness is local assets. The purpose of this study is to derive the priority region for development by evaluating local assets. The analysis methods used in this study are Geographic Information System analysis, Big Data Trend analysis, and Analytic Hierarchy Process analysis. To assess the potential of local assets, the preference of assets, historical value, cluster of resources, wide-area transport accessibility, and population density were set as analysis indicators and itemized weights were applied using AHP to reflect the importance of each item. As a result of analyzing Yeongju city in Gyeongsangbuk-do, eight major points such as Buseoksa Temple, Sosu Seowon, Huibangsa Temple, Punggi Hot Spring Resort, Punggi Station, National Center for Forest Therapy, Yeongju east region and Museom Village were derived.

A Study on the Utilization for Oral Health Education Materials of Dental Hygienists (치과위생사의 구강보건교육매체 활용 실태)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the utilization of oral health education media among dental hygienists in charge of oral health education. The findings of the study were as follows. 1. In regard to the general utilization of educational media in possession by workplace, age and career, the dental hygienists who worked in public health clinics(42.4%), who were in their 40s and up(341.%) and whose career was six years or more(32.2%) made more use of the educational media. Those who didn't use the educational media cited time constraints as the most common reason(46.1%). 2. Models(53.2%) were highly preferred in most of the institutions where the dental hygienists worked, but the public health clinics(81.8%) and university hospitals(80.0%) were most fond of video clips. 3. Concerning preference for educational media by career, the dental hygienists whose career was between three and less than six years and who had a 10 years or more of career had the most liking for video clips, followed by models. Those whose career was between one to less than three years and between six and less than 10 years showed the most preference for models, followed by video clips. 4. As for their perception of the necessity of educational media, the majority felt the need for the media(87.5%). Regarding difficulties in purchasing necessary educational media, the biggest group pointed out a shortage of information(56.1%).

The Preference for Care Near the End of Life of Korean Nurses (일 지역 간호사의 임종기 치료 선호도)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to explore the preference for care near the end-of-life of nurses who had been working in an acute hospital. Methods: Data were collected by using PCEOL-K which was originally developed in U.S. and standardized into Korean version. Two hundred nurses from one acute hospital who agreed to participate in the study filled out questionnaires and 177 questionnaires were analyzed for the study results. Results: Relatively positive preference toward spirituality and pain control and negative preference toward decision making by health care professional were uncovered. Conclusion: Nurses consider patient's autonomy, pain control and spirituality as important factors at the end-of-life care. Further studies regarding the preference for the care near the end-of-life of diverse groups such as patients, doctors, and family members are called for.

Understanding Major Factors in Taking Internet based Lectures for the National College Entrance Exam according to Academic Performances by Case Studies (수능 인터넷강의 선호요인 사례분석 : 학업성취 수준을 중심으로)

  • This paper aimed to understand current trends in online lectures for Korean SAT based on students' academic performances through a qualitative interview approach. In results, the highest academic performance group showed a good deal of interest and usage in online lectures. This group participants preferred private online lectures to public ones. However, the lowest academic group liked to use public online lectures. The middle academic groups who lived in an expensive area spent a lot of money for tutoring or attending private institutes rather than online lectures. Suggestions are: self-regulated learning is needed, public onilne lectures should have improved contents, and lastly, these online lectures are required to be connected with regular school curriculum.
