Reginal Frequency Analysis using KMA-RCM(A1B) rainfall data (KMA-RCM(A1B) 강우 자료를 이용한 지역빈도해석)

  • 기후변화에 따른 기상변화가 집중호우 및 돌발홍수 등의 형태로 가시화 되고 있으며, IPCC 보고서(2007)는 21세기 후반까지 온도상승으로 인한 폭우 및 태풍이 점차 강력해질 것이라는 예측을 하였다. 이러한 예측의 대응으로 전 세계는 $CO_2$ 감축을 위한 노력이 진행중에 있으며, $CO_2$ 변화에 따른 미래 강수의 빈도해석을 해야한다는 주장이 제기되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 기상청 지역기후모델(KMA-RegCM3) A1B시나리오의 강우 자료를 이용하여 Quantile-Mapping을 실시한 후 지역빈도해석을 실시하였다. 대상지역은 국내 전역에 위치한 기상청 산하 58개 관측소를 선정하였다. Hosking(1997)이 제안한 L-moment 알고리즘을 이용하여 지역빈도해석을 수행하였으며, 그 결과 A2 시나리오보다 상대적으로 $CO_2$ 배출량이 낮은 A1B시나리오 역시 모든 지역에서 확률강수량이 증가함을 알 수 있었다.

Construction of Hydrogeological Model for KURT Site Based on Geological Model (KURT 연구지역에서 지질모델을 이용한 수리지질모델의 구축)

  • The KURT (KAERI Underground Research Tunnel) is a research tunnel which is located in KAERI (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute) site. At KURT, researches on engineering and natural barrier system, which are the most important components for geological disposal system for high level radioactive waste, have been conducted. In this study, we synthesized the site characteristics obtained by various types of site investigation to introduce the geological model for KURT site, and induced the 3-D hydrogeological model for KURT site from the geological model. From the geological investigation at the surface and boreholes, four geological elements such as subsurface weathered zone, upper fractured rock, lower fractured rock and fracture zones were determined for the geological model. In addition, the geometries of these geological elements were also analyzed for the geological model to be three-dimensional. The results from 3-D geological model were used to construct the hydro-geological model for KURT site, which is one of the input data for groundwater flow modeling and safety assessment.

  • A purely analytical model for HEMT's based on a two dimensional charge control simul-ation[4] is proposed. In this model proper treatment of diffusion effect of electron transport along a 2-DEG (two dimensional electron gas) channel is perfoemed. This diffusion effect is shown to effectively increase the bulk mibility and threshold voltage of the I-V curves compared to the existing models. The channel thickness and gate capacitance are expressed as functions of gate voltages covering subthreshold characteristics of HEMT's analytically. By introducing the finite channel opening and an effiective channel-length modulation, the solpe of the saturation region of the I-V curves ws modeled. The smooth transition of the I-V curves at linear-to-saturation regions of the I-V curves was possible using the continuous Troffimenkoff-type of field dependent mobility. Furthermore, a correction factor f was introduced to account for the finite transition section forming between a GCA and a saturated section. This factor removes large discrepancies in the saturation region of the I-V curve predicted by existing l-dimensional models.

  • This study aims to investigate the public big data standard analysis model developed by Ministry of the Interior and examine its accuracy and reliability of prediction. To do this, big data standard analysis index were calculated to apply them to the real world case of CCTV monitoring system prior installation in K city. The result of this case study revealed that the areas to be installed CCTV consisted with the area where residences requested and complained to install CCTV monitoring systems, which indicated that the result of big data standard analysis model provided accurate and reliable outcomes. The result of this study suggested implications on effective exploitation of big data analysis.

Can Housing Prices Be an Alternative to a Census-based Deprivation Index? An Evaluation Based on Multilevel Modeling (주택가격이 센서스에 기반한 박탈지수의 대안이 될 수 있는가?: 다수준 모델에 기반한 평가)

  • We conducted this research to examine how well regional housing prices are suited to use as an alternative to conventional census-based regional deprivation indices in health and medical geography studies. To examine the relative performance of mean regional housing prices compared to conventional census-based regional deprivation indices, we compared several multilevel logistic regression models, where the first level was individuals and the second was health districts in the Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA) in Korea, for the sake of adjusting the regional clustering tendency of unknown factors. In these models, we predicted two dichotomous variables that represented individuals' after-lunch tooth brushing behavior and use of dental floss by individual characteristics and regional indices. Then, we compared the relative predictive performance of the models using the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC). The results from the estimations showed that mean regional housing prices and census-based deprivation indices were correlated with the two types of dental health behavior in a statistical sense. The results also revealed that the model with mean regional housing prices showed smaller AIC and BIC compared with other models with conventional census-based deprivation indices. These results imply that it is possible for housing prices summarized using aerial units to be used as an alternative to conventional census-based deprivation indices when the census variables employed cannot properly reflect the characteristics of the aerial units.

  • A considerable number of construction disasters occurs on pathway. A safety management in construction sites is usually performed to prevent accidents in activity areas. This means that safety management level of hazards on pathway is relatively minified. Many researchers have introduced that a hazard identification is fundamental of safety management. Thus, algorithms for helping safety managers' hazardous area identification is developed using automated data collection technology. These algorithms primarily search potential hazardous area by comparing workers' location logs based on real-time locating system and optimal routes based on BIM. And potential hazardous areas is filtered by identified hazardous areas and activity areas. After that, safety managers are provided with information about potential hazardous areas and can establish proper safety countermeasures. This can help improving safety in construction sites.

  • 최근 들어 집중호우 및 토지이용 변화로 인한 고탁수 문제가 빈번히 발생하고 있다. 이러한 탁수 및 수질오염 문제를 해결하기 위해 환경부는 비점오염원 관리지역을 선정하였으며, Best Management Pratices(BMPs), Low Impact Development(LID) 등 다양한 저감 대책을 시행하고 있다. 비점오염원의 발생원인과 발생위치를 정확하게 증명할 수 없으므로 유역 내 수문 및 수질을 모의할 수 있는 Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT) 모델이 다양한 비점오염원 연구에 널리 활용되고 있다. 그러나 SWAT 모델은 Hydrologic Response Unit(HRU)의 경사도와 경사장을 산정할 때 소유역 내 평균 경사도를 이용하여 토양유실량 및 유출특성을 모의에 필요한 매개변수들을 산정한다는 한계점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 SWAT 모형의 단점을 보완하기 위하여 실제 경작지를 기준으로 HRU를 생성하고, 실측 경사도와 경사장을 적용하기 위한 기술을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 기술을 고탁수로 인해 비점오염원 관리지역으로 지정된 도암호 유역에 적용하여 실측 경사도와 경사장을 적용하여 모의한 유출량과 기존의 SWAT 모델을 통해 모의한 유출량을 비교 분석하였다. 기존 모델의 결과와 본 연구에서 개발한 기술을 적용하여 모의한 결과를 비교하였을 때 수문 컴포넌트 중 중간유출과 기저유출에 있어서 차이가 발생한 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 본 연구에서 개발된 기술을 적용함으로써 도암호 유역에서 비교적 정확한 토양유실과 Suspended Solids(SS) 모의 결과를 나타냈다. 하지만 본 연구는 도암호 유역만을 대상으로 수행되었기 때문에 다른 비점오염 관리지역에 확대 적용하여 본 연구의 결과를 재검토할 필요가 있다.

  • The ionospheric delay is the largest error source in GPS positioning after the SA effect has been turned off. The ionospheric error can be easily removed by using ionospheric-free combinations but it is only restricted for dual-frequency receivers. Therefore, in this study, the regional ionospheric grid model was developed for single-frequency receivers. The developed model was compared with GIM to validate its accuracy. As a result, it yielded RMSE of 3.8 TECU for 10 days. And L1 medium- and long-range relative positioning was performed to evaluate positioning accuracy improvements. The positioning accuracy was improved by 46.7% compared with that without any correction of ionosphere and troposphere and was improved by 14.5% compared with that only tropospheric correction.

  • In this manuscript, we tried to improve the performance of the FC-DenseNet by applying an attention gate for the classification of cropping areas. The attention gate module could facilitate the learning of a deep learning model and improve the performance of the model by injecting of spatial/spectral weights to each feature map. Crop classification was performed in the onion and garlic regions using a proposed deep learning model in which an attention gate was added to the skip connection part of FC-DenseNet. Training data was produced using various PlanetScope satellite imagery, and preprocessing was applied to minimize the problem of imbalanced training dataset. As a result of the crop classification, it was verified that the proposed deep learning model can more effectively classify the onion and garlic regions than existing FC-DenseNet algorithm.

  • Research supports that participatory strategies are central to the success of school-based sex education. Community-based participatory approaches are increasingly recognized as a central strategy for school-based sex education for their orientation towards participant engagement in program planning, content development, implementation, and evaluation. In combination with the community-based participatory approaches, a social ecological model holds values as a tool for facilitation and planning, and potentially as an evaluation aide for school-based sex education programs. This paper describes core concepts and principles of the community-based participatory research; illustrates a social ecological model organized for school-based sex education based on qualitative evaluation results of an abstinence education program in the United States ; and suggests application strategies of the presented approaches in school-based sex education in Korea.
