This paper examines the influence of and in the process of collection building in public libraries. These events resulted in depriving library workers of their voluntary spirit. And these events have also become a main cause of ideological prejudices as reflected in collection building.

This case study shows constructing the knowledge-based system using a rule-based approach for detecting illegal transactions regarding money laundering in the Korea Financial Intelligence Unit (KoFIU). To better manage the explosive increment of low risk suspicious transactions reporting from financial institutions, the adoption of a knowledge-based system in the KoFIU is essential. Also since different types of information from various organizations are converged into the KoFIU, constructing a knowledge-based system for practical use and data management regarding money laundering is definitely required. The success of the financial information system largely depends on how well we can build the knowledge-base for the context. Therefore we designed and constructed the knowledge-based system for anti-money laundering by committing domain experts of each specific financial industry co-worked with a knowledge engineer. The outcome of the knowledge base implementation, measured by the empirical ratio of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) reported to law enforcements, shows that the knowledge-based system is filtering STRs in the primary analysis step efficiently, and so has made great contribution to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the analysis process. It can be said that establishing the foundation of the knowledge base under the entire framework of the knowledge-based system for consideration of knowledge creation and management is indeed valuable.

The synthesis of gates of injection-molded parts has been done empirically, since it requires profound knowledge about the gate design,. which is not available to designers through current CAD systems. GATEWAY is a knowledge module which contains knowledge to Permit non-experts as well as mold design experts to generate acceptable gate design of injection-molded parts. A knowledge-based CAD system is constructed by adding the knowledge module, GATEWAY, for gate synthesis and appropriate CAE programs for mold design analysis to an existing geometric modeler to provide designers, at the initial stage, with comprehensive process knowledge for gate synthesis. 지식경제사회가 도래함에 따라 특허정보 분석은 지식재산권을 보호하기 위하여 더욱 중요해지고 있다. 특허정보 분석은 축적된 특허 데이터베이스로부터 기업의 연구개발 전략에 필요한 지식을 추출하는 것이다. 이러한 지식을 추출하고 분석 및 전략 수립을 위한 도구가 특허정보 분석 도구이다. 본 논문은 국내외 주요 특허정보 분석 도구에 대한 동향을 파악하고 국내특허 분석 도구의 발전 방향에 대해 고찰하였다.

본 논문에서는 저장조 설계에 필요한 설계용 입력데이타의 자동생성을 위한 지식베이스 구축과 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스를 개발하였다. 지식베이스는 전문가의 오랜 경험을 통해 축적된 지식을 전문가의 도움을 받아 객체지향 모델링 기법들을 이용하여 구축하였으며, 추론기법은 전문가시스템 내에 전향추론 기법과 후향추론 기법을 모두 갖고서 사용자와 지식베이스간의 인터페이스와 사용자가 쉽게 시스템을 사용할 수 있게 하기 위하여 윈도우 환경에서 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스를 개발하였다. 이렇게 개발된 전문가시스템을 과거 수행했던 저장조 설계 프로젝트에 적용해 봄으로써, 비전문가도 전문가의 도움 없이 저장조를 설계할 수 있었으며, 표준화된 절차에 의하여 설계함으로써 설계상의 오류를 줄일 수 있었고, 약 88%의 비용을 감소시킬 수 있었다.

This research aims to analyze empirically the effects of learners' knowledge sourcing behavior on the knowledge utilization outcomes in a social learning community. This kind of virtual community is of service to users who not only produce but also share a variety of valuable knowledge which is created based on relationships and interactions among learners. In order to conduct the study, a group of learners was made of 55 undergraduate students who were majoring in social science. The data was collected by online survey at the end of the term and multiple regression methods have been used for empirical analysis. The study shows that dyadic knowledge sourcing and published knowledge sourcing both have significant effects on knowledge reuse and knowledge adaptation. In addition, knowledge adaptation and knowledge innovation were affected by group knowledge sourcing. The research results help to select appropriate knowledge sourcing behavior depending on one's purpose of knowledge use.

The development of information networks and computer technology has become a foundation to open up a sea of information and knowledge. The recent popularization of smart devices has been used as a tool to easily obtain the desired information and knowledge. In this paper, a knowledge-sharing system using information and social networks based on smart devices is proposed. The proposed system consists of functions of an Internet information search for user queries, accumulated knowledge, and social network response from acquaintances. An evaluation for user satisfaction was conducted to analyze the efficacy of the proposed system. According to the experiment, the knowledge-sharing system using smart device information results in significant satisfaction compared to the general information search engines.

산업계 전반에 걸친 오랜 정보시스템 운용의 결과로 대용량의 데이터들이 축적되고 있다. 이러한 데이터로부터 유용한 지식을 추출하기 위해 여러 가지 데이터마이닝 기법들이 연구되어 왔다. 특히 데이터웨어하우스의 등장은 이러한 데이터마이닝에 있어 필요한 데이터 제공 환경을 주고 있다. 그러나 전문가의 적절한 판단과 해석을 거치지 않은 데이터마이닝의 결과는 당연한 사실이거나, 사실과 다른 가짜이거나 또한 관련성 없는(Trivial, Spurious and Irrelevant) 내용만 무수히 쏟아낼 수 있다. 그러므로 데이터마이닝의 결과가 비록 통계적 유의성을 가진다 하더라고 그 정당성과 유용성에 대한 검증과정과 방법론의 정립이 필요하다. 데이터마이닝의 가장 어려운 점은 귀납적 오류를 없애기 위해 사람이 직접 그 결과를 해석하고 판단하며 아울러 새로운 탐색 방향을 제시해야 한다는 것이다. 본 논문의 목적인 이러한 데이터마이닝에서 추출된 결과를 검증하고 아울러 새로운 지식 탐색 방향을 제시하는 방법론을 정립하는데 있다. 본 논문에서는 데이터마이닝 기법 중 연관규칙탐사(Associations)로 얻어진 결과를 설명가능성 여부의 판단을 통해 검증하는 기법을 제안하였고, 이를 위해 도메인 지식(Domain Knowledge)과 연관규칙탐사를 통해 얻어진 결과를 표현하기 위한 지식표현방법으로 관계형 술어논리(RPL : Relational Predicate Logic)를 개발하였다. 연관규칙탐사로 얻어진 결과를 설명하기 위한 방법으로는 연관규칙탐사로 얻어진 연관규칙에 대한 RPL로 표현된 도메인 지식으로서 설명됨을 보이게 한다. 또한 이러한 설명(Explanation)을 토대로 검증된 지식을 일반화하여 새로운 가설을 연역적으로 생성하고 이를 연관규칙탐사를 통해 검증한 후 새로운 지식을 얻는 설명기반 데이터마이닝 구조(Explanation-based Data Mining Architecture)를 제시하였다.

Unlike existing other industries, the knowledge-based industry has the potential to grow increasingly with factor input unlimited. Importance of investigating knowledge and information evaluation cannot be overemphasized to promote economic development in that knowledge and information is accepted as an engine of new economy. We attempt to define the scope and value of knowledge and information and develop the knowledge and information value model. The results help policy-makers to manage and evaluate the knowledge and information with useful and responsible information.

The geographical knowledge is composed of academic geographical knowledge, school geographical knowledge, applied geographical knowledge and popular geographical knowledge according to the diverse social need and demand. And the geographical knowledge has developed through the knowledge circulation system, which is connected to knowledge production, delivery, application and to reproduction among these knowledge fields. The discontinuity of knowledge circulation can lead to crisis of geographical whole. Therefore, for sustainable development of geography, it is necessary to firmly build a virtuous circulation system of geographical knowledge which is linked to a knowledge production and accumulation by an academic geography, knowledge delivery by a school geography, knowledge social application by an applied geography, knowledge application in everyday life by a popular geography and knowledge reproduction by an academic geography.
