The Comparative Study on the Methodologies of Building Ontology toward Semantic Web (시맨틱웹을 위한 온톨로지 구축방법에 관한 비교 연구)

  • This is the comparative study about analyzing the methodologies of building ontology with IEEE Standard 1074-1997. The methodologies are chosen to be analyzed. They are OTK, CommanKADS, ONIONS and Noy & McGuinness's Ontology Development 101. On the basis of analyzing, the ontology development process is proposed after the strong points of four methodologies are accepted but the weak points of them are supplemented. The sixth development steps are following: 1) Conducting the feasibility study about ontology building as the pre-development process 2) Setting up the purpose of the ontology development as the starting point of the building 3) Considering the integration of the existing ontologies for the knowledge reuse 4) Constructing the ontology by defining the concepts and relations 5) Evaluating and testing the ontology for the completeness 6) Containing the ontology maintenance for the sustainable use.

  • 최근 기업들은 분산된 조직과 각 조직의 목적에 따라 데이터베이스도 분산되어 있기 때문에 이들 간의 공유 및 협업을 통한 상호 운용성을 지원하기 어려우므로 일관적인 형태로 연동하기 위해서 메타데이터 수준의 표준이 필요하다. 또한 협업적인 거래환경에서의 EAI시스템은 다양한 정보 시스템에서 관리되는 지식들을 유기적으로 통합하고 공유함으로서 효율적인 검색 및 비용절감 등 많은 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 그러나 기존의 시스템은 특정 목적에 따라 관리되고 공유되므로 사실상 통합 외 공유에는 상당한 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제시하는 XMDR은 온톨로지와 메타데이터 결합된 형태로 각종 표준들을 일관적인 형태로 온톨로지와 시소러스 개념을 도입함으로서 데이터수준의 정보를 통합 하기위한 메타데이터 공유 및 정보 시스템 통합의 일관성을 유지 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제시되는 브리지 XMDR 검색시스템은 원시데이터 계층, XMDR 계층. 브리지 XMDR 계층으로 3계층으로 구성된다. XMDR 계층은 분산된 데이터베이스의 속성표현의 표준과 관계성을 정의한 표준 온톨로지, 카테고리 분류 온틀로지, 사이트의 정보를 제공하는 로케이션 온톨로지로 구성되는 XMDR을 정의한다. 브리지 XMDR 계층은 XMDR간의 정보를 공유하기 위한 공유 도메인 속성을 추출한 하이브리드 통합방식으로 업무간의 의미적 통합이 가능하다.

  • Current situations, such as IMF crisis, WTO agreement and decrease of construction market, demand changes to construction companies. To meet the situation, they focus on the value of the intangible assets to improve their competitive power. In Korea, Various institutes estimate the construction company in accordance with their Purposes. But their estimating method has limitations to know the potential value of the company because they don't much concentrate on characteristics of construction industry and intangible assets. This study was peformed to introduce the methodology of estimating intangible assets of company and to show the state of intangible asset of major construction companies in Korea. Market Capitalization Method(MCM) was used to calculate intangible assets and all data are based on Annual Business Report.

A Review of Studies on personal information (개인정보 연구동향과 과제)

  • The personal information is now considered more valuable and important topic in this highly improved knowledge information society. In this research, 50 research papers and government reports between 2000 and 2013 are analysed to understand a trend of academic research of the personal information. To summarize of the result of the analysis, firstly, there are many discussions and emphases to governmental protections of the personal information, mainly in the qualitative and legal system level. Secondly, there are insufficient researches of the personal information, particularly in the academic field rather than government and national research institutes. Thirdly, there are not sufficient investigations to approach influential reasons and relations of cause and effect, though there are much enough researches on the actual and present conditions of the protection of the personal information. To develop the investigation of the personal information, it needs to be considered to research more about systematic approach to the issue of personal information, expansion of research area considering the changeable IT environment, diverse methodological experiment like a metrical way, reformation of investigation system, and improved information management in the private sector.

A Study on Library 3.0 Concept and its Service Model (도서관 3.0의 개념과 서비스 모형에 관한 연구)

  • Recently the concept of Library 3.0 and its substance have been discussed by scholars and specialists along with Web 3.0. This study aims to analyze the debates on Library 3.0 and review the concept of Library 3.0. In addition, this study proposes library 3.0 service model based on its analysis. The keywords of in the proposed Library 3.0 model in this study is the Social Semantic Digital Library(SSDL), the Linked Library, and the Mobile Library. First, the SSDL means a real knowledge sharing and cooperation by applying both semantic web technology that which can manage data by machines and social networking services into e-libraries. Second, the Linked Library indicates that library resources become linked data that link libraries in all over the world. Finally, the Mobile Library refers to ubiquitous library equipped with RFID and mobile technology.

  • In the era of big data, analyzing not only structured data but also unstructured data is emerging as an important task. Official documents produced by government agencies are also subject to big data analysis as large text-based unstructured data. From the perspective of internal work efficiency, knowledge management, records management, etc, it is necessary to analyze big data of public documents to derive useful implications. However, since many of the public documents currently held by public institutions are not in open format, a pre-processing process of extracting text from a bitstream is required for big data analysis. In addition, since contextual metadata is not sufficiently stored in the document file, separate efforts to secure metadata are required for high-quality analysis. In conclusion, the current official documents have a low level of machine readability, so big data analysis becomes expensive.

Improving Research Information Security in Academic Institutes through the Analysis of Security Awareness and Activities (보안 인지 및 실천 현황 분석을 통한 대학 연구정보보안 수준 제고 방안)

  • Universities are one of leading R&D institutes, however, their scarce security investment allows research information to leak outside. This paper proposes methods for improving security level of academic institutes to protect research information by analyzing security awareness and activities. To do that, we verified the current status of information security and awareness level by analyzing the survey which was conducted for a member of Seoul National University. As a result of statistical analysis using correlation, analysis of variance, multi regression and so on, we concluded that it is essential to improve security awareness, activities, professor's security level and management process for research labs. Thus, we suggest the following methods, security awareness and knowledge development through education, security management for research labs through provision, introduction of data protection softwares and physical control of visitors which are to be adopted to improve security level.

  • Conceptual Model of the Mission Spaces(CMMS) is a first abstraction model of the military real world and serves as a knowledge(mission spaces) reference models for development, interoperability and reusability of defense modeling and simulation(M&S) systems, by capturing basic information about entities involved in any mission and their key actions and interactions. Therefore, the completeness of CMMS is the key to success for the quality of M&S systems based on it. To improve quality and credibility of CMMS, the Verification, Validation and Accreditation(VV&A) processes of CMMS is very important. This paper briefly describes the K-CMMS(Korean Conceptual Model of Mission Space) and the VV&A process.

  • Korea's ROTC system was introduced from the United States in 1961 to recruit competent primary grade officers and secure reserve forces in peacetime. However, entering the 2000s, it was faced with a serious crisis, which was a decrease of the application rate due to the change in the acquisition environment including the decrease in school-age population and military service resources due to the low fertility, and the shortened period of military service. Therefore, this study tried to suggest a ROTC system improvement plan focusing on the organizational structure and operation system by analyzing the change in the acquisition environment and the cause of decrease in the application rate. As a research method, a comparative method between the cases of the ROTC systems in the US and Korea was applied through domestic and foreign literature studies. In terms of theory, Strategic Human Resource Management, which is applied to corporate management to achieve organizational performance and secure comparative competitive advantage in a knowledge-based society, was used as a theoretical criterion.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a method to construct the information space of library with the resilient space and community base to cope with social changes in response to various contents of library functions. As an institution that provides the places and contents necessary for education and research, it aims to expand and change from the collection center to the user center, from the specific user center to the library that shares resources with the community, And to find ways to contribute to the revitalization of education. A library plan for communities that can increase the value of local libraries and expand user-centered space utilization is as follows; First, in terms of communities in space and programs, the program will be supplemented through the activation of cultural, entertainment, and collaborative programs and the creation of communities. Second, in terms of smart support for operational and environmental issues, the establishment of information technology and smart management operating system to expand the research productivity by efficiently utilizing mutually available data with the local community.
