A Study on Bliss's Bibliographic Classification (블리스(Bliss)의 서지 분류법에 관한 연구)

  • Bliss stated that one of the purposes of the classification was to demonstrate that a coherent and comprehensive system, based on the logical principles of classification and consistent with the systems of science and education, may be available to services in libraries, to aid revision of long established classifications and to provide an adaptable, efficient and economical classification, notation and index. A fundamental principle is the idea of subordination each specific subject is subordinated to the appropriate general one. The full scheme followed the publication of two massive theoretical works on the organization of knowledge. Its main feature was the carefully designed maul class order. reflecting Comte principle of gradation in speciality.

  • 지적 재산권 보호 중에서 디지털 저작물 보호는 근래에 활발히 연구되고 있으며 법 과학 분야는 지문감식, 치아감정, DNA 등 많은 분야가 있다. 법과학 분야 중 법적용 컴퓨팅(Forensic Computing)에 관한 응용은 새로운 연구 과제이다. 그 중에서도 디지털 저작물에 대하여 증거를 보전 하고자 많은 연구가 진행되고 있지만 디지털 저작물에 관하여 네트워크를 통한 능동적 저작물 보호는 미약하다. 현재의 데이터 추출(Extraction), 발굴(Exploitation), 복구, 암호 해독, 패스워스 풀기(Defeat), 미러 이미징 등의 방법 가지고 해결 못하는 경우와 인터넷 상에서 온라인으로 이루어지는 불법 복제에서 결정적 기여(smoking gun)를 찾아내려고 하는 것이 본 논문에서 해결 하고자 하는 부분이다. 오프라인일 경우도 가능하며 분석된 결과는 변호사/대리인, 법인, 보험회사, 법집행관 등에게 온라인으로 제공한다. 진행 과정은 서버에서 파견시킨, 미션을 부여받은 에이전트가 저작물 불법 복제 상황을 트래킹 한 후, 네트워크를 통하여 정해진 시간별로 서버에 전달하면, 법 조항과 매핑시켜서 분석한 다음 서버의 지식베이스에 저장되어 사용자의 요구에 응하는 능동형 디지털 저작물 보호 관리 시스템이다.

Efficient Classification of User's Natural Language Question Types using Word Semantic Information (단어 의미 정보를 활용하는 이용자 자연어 질의 유형의 효율적 분류)

  • For question-answering system, question analysis module finds the question points from user's natural language questions, classifies the question types, and extracts some useful information for answer. This paper proposes a question type classifying technique based on focus words extracted from questions and word semantic information, instead of complicated rules or huge knowledge resources. It also shows how to find the question type without focus words, and how useful the synonym or postfix information to enhance the performance of classifying module.

  • As the fact that science is the driving force behind technological development and that technological innovation contributes to economic development has been proved empirically convincing, the interaction between science and technology is highly emphasized in advanced countries. But, Korea has not been active in conducting research on science-based technological development and on the scientific fields that have strong relationships with Korean technology. This study attempts to explore the influence of scientific research papers cited in US patents by Koreans on other US patents and identify the interactions between scientific research papers and patents, by examining the scientific references cited in the Korean-originated US patents.

  • This study analyzed that technological competition, variety and simility of Green IT fields using patents data. To achieve this, we limited range of Green IT that reduction of energy, eco-friendly technology. Therefore we conducted analysis of patents that power saving systems, light control system, smart system, cloud computing and green house/eco systems. As the result of that, power saving field was the most developed. The simililarty of power saving and cloud computing systems are very high and similiarities of light control system, green house/eco systems and smart system were very high.

  • We design and implement an efficient storage technique to improve query processing for a large RDF data set. The proposed techniques can minimize data redundancy compared to the existing techniques by splitting relation information and data information from triple formatted RDF data. Also, we can enhance query processing speed separating and connecting the entire query steps by relation and data based on the proposed storage technique. The proposed technique can be applied to the areas, such as e-Commerce, semantic web, and KMS to store and retrieve a large RDF data set.

  • Recently, under recognition that ubiquitous computing is core paradigm to build up a state of new knowledge information and to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic information industry, governments, enterprises, and institutes in United States, Europe, and Japan devote all their energies to develop technologies concerned. In Korea, the government presents ubiquitous technologies as a main part of the next generation growth industry, and also other governmental agencies and enterprises concentrate their energies on early fruition of ubiquitous society. Accordingly, as a foundation research to apply ubiquitous environment which emerged as a next generation high-end telecommunication technology effectively to construction field, this paper will discuss about element technologies to realize changing aspects of construction process under ubiquitous environment and information services by stages.

  • 인터넷 이용의 급증에 따라 전자상거래(Electronic Commerce)가 시간적, 공간적 제약을 극복한 새로운 경제활동으로 지식, 정보기반시대의 새로운 패러다임으로 국가 경제, 사회의 변혁을 주도하는 수단으로 부각되고 있다. 이러한 시대적 환경과 인터넷 이용의 확산으로 전자상거래 시장규모도 이례 없이 증가하고 있다. 특히 전자상거래에 대비하는 대부분의 업체들이 내세우는 전략의 공통점은 B2C(Business to Customer) 보다는 B2B(Business to Business)에 중점을 두고 있다는 것이다. 기업간 전자상거래에 필수적인 요소로 부각되고 있는 워크플로우 관리 시스템이 서로 다른 벤더들에 의해 제작된 워크플로우 엔진들의 상호운영성이 보장되지 않기 때문에 전자상거래의 제 기능을 발휘하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 서로 다른 벤더들에 의해 제작된 워크플로우 엔진들의 상호운영성을 위한 기본 명세에 대해 살펴보기로 한다. 또한 엄청난 비즈니스 프로세스로 구성되어 있는 기업간 전자상거래 상에서의 통합된 비즈니스 프로세스를 정의하기 위한 워크플로우 정의도구 구현 시 고려해야 할 사항들에 대해서 살펴보기로 한다.

Digital Libraries as Scocio-Technical Interaction Networks: American Memory Project as one example of it (사회기술상호작용망(STIN)으로서의 디지털 도서관: American Memory Project를 중심으로)

  • This paper shows that digital libraries can be understood through STIN models which emphasize interactions among components in networks. The enrollment strategies in the American Memory make human and non-human factors interact. Specifically, this paper articulates that the relationships between users and collections, between users and staff, and between users and users are closely linked through the strategies . Observing the linkages among these components ,this paper found that the enrollment processes not only draw users to the American Memory, but also alter roles of components and creates new roles and players for them. The alterations of roles and the resulting changes of relationships among components mean that digital libraries lead to transform the grounding of knowledge works in a society.

  • This paper examines new phenomenon and transformation that arise from the expansion of knowledge-based economy, envisions the meaning of e-government through comparing traditional administration with new governance, formulates the e-government model, and presents a direction for next e-government for the conclusion. These new phenomenon include a transformation to product and service convergence model, cyber sovereignty dilemma, privacy and information security threats, and various others. Also, there is a gradual transformation from government-oriented administrative approach to a new governance model that strengthens the role of NGO. And, e-government must work together to realize this new governance ideology. New e-government must be transformed where government and citizens can implement and manage e-government together. Therefore, expanding applications of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technologies, promotion of e-Democracy, and improvement of user interface to improve usability must be emphasized.
