Impact of Success Factors of Knowledge Management on Management Performance in Agribusiness Cluster (지식경영성공요인이 농산업클러스터 기업의 경영성과에 미치는 영향 -순창장류산업 클러스터를 중심으로-)

  • In the Knowledge-based economy, it is inevitable for companies to implement knowledge management(KM in short) to improve management performance. In order to better understand the KM, it is necessary to examine the relationship between success factors of KM and KM performance in agribusiness sector. This study empirically analyzes the impact of success factors of Knowledge Management on companies' management performance in agribusiness cluster. From the survey data of 43 companies located in Sunchang fermented soybean products Industrial cluster, the study finds that four factors- learning culture, network, knowledge sharing and knowledge creating- influence management performance in a positive way. It also examines whether Industrial cluster strategy functions as a moderator between KM success factors and companies' performance. Furthermore, this study concludes that Sunchang fermented soybean Industrial cluster has not reached to the final stage of KM and suggests elements for further improvements.

  • A firm is very difficult to find sustainable competitive weapons due to global competition and rapid changes in business environments. As a sequence, an increasing number of organizations are focusing their attention on utilizing knowledge management which can effectively disperse, share, and create information and knowledge. Therefore, this study is purposed to investigate success factors of knowledge management through AHP techniques, to analyze the relative importance among success factors, and to contribute to the organizations which have a plan to introduce KMS by providing theoretical background.

  • 최근 기업들은 글로벌 경쟁과 국내외 경영환경의 빠른 변화로 인해 과거와 같은 경영방식과 생산수단으로써는 경쟁에서 이겨나가기가 어려워지고 있다. 이와 함께 정보와 지식의 효과적인 활용을 통한 기업 경쟁력을 향상하려는 지식경영에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 지식경영의 성공요인들을 계층분석과정(AHP)을 통해서 찾아내고 성공요인들간의 상대적인 중요도를 파악하여 지식경영을 도입하려는 기업들에게 성공적인 도입을 위한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

  • This study empirically explores the relationship among knowledge management success factors (leadership, organizational culture, information technology, measurement, incentive, knowledge quality), knowledge management activities(knowledge creation and knowledge use), and task performance in disaster management area. Findings suggest that (1) organization culture, information technology, incentive and quality of knowledge are significantly related to knowledge creation activities while leadership, information technology, incentive and quality of knowledge are significantly related to knowledge use activities, (2) higher level of knowledge creation is related to high level of knowledge use, and (3) the level of knowledge use activities seems to be significantly related to task performance in disaster management, while knowledge creation activities are not.

  • There is growing importance for intellectual capital, so corporations are developing Knowledge Management System (KMS) for Knowledge Management. There are two way in performing Knowledge Management, that is, Information Technology(IT) approach and Non-IT approach. IT approach focuses on developing KMS, and Non-IT approach people, business process, organizational culture and policy. According to interviews with experts and people in charge of knowledge management divisions, the IT approach and Non-IT approach should be adopted simultaneously for effective knowledge management. And, more focus should be placed especially on the Non-IT approach than IT approach for successful knowledge management. This research analyzed success and failure factors in knowledge management by questionnaire for experts and employees.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide success factors to help the firms who are supposed to initiate knowledge management. To do this, this study investigate the case of knowledge management practice of Samsung SDS in detail. In doing so, we can identify the success factors for knowledge management. We can find failure and success factors through knowledge management in Samsung SDS. By doing so, it may be possible to "how to do it". "It" is about introduction to the knowledge management.

  • This research derived five success factors(the characteristics of system, knowledge, management, organization and users) for knowledge management system(KMS) and empirically analyzed the influence on the performance(usage and user satisfaction) by setting these characteristics to military KMS. This study shows that user characteristic affects most positive(+) effect to usage, and knowledge characteristic affects most positive(+) effect to user satisfaction but organization characteristic affects negative(-) effect to usage and user satisfaction. The result of this research illustrates the successful operation of military KMS and expects the early settlement of the military forces that will establish KMS by reducing initial trial and errors.

  • 지식경영시스템(Knowledge Management System)이 활성화되기 위해서는 지식경영 활동의 핵심영향요인들을 고려하여야 한다. 그러나 수많은 지식경영시스템이 정보기술 측면만을 고려하여 단순정보를 관리하는 정보관리시스템으로 전락하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 기업의 성공적인 지식경영을 위하여 지식경영에 영향을 미치는 영향요인을 도출하고, 각 영향요인이 지식경영시스템의 활성화에 영향을 주는지에 대한 수치화가 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 지식경영시스템 도입 시 고려해야 할 영향요인을 도출하고 각 영향요인별 필요도(Importance)와 이행도(Performance)로 수치화하였다. 또한 각 영향요인을 고려하여 구축된 지식 경영시스템의 사례를 통하여 지식경영시스템의 구축효과에 대한 결과를 측정하고 효과에 대해 검증한다.
