Effect of TikTok's Level-specific Recommendation Service on Continuous Use Intention: Focusing on the Privacy Calculation Model (틱톡의 수준별 추천 서비스에 따른 지속적 사용의도에 미치는 영향: 프라이버시계산 모델을 중심으로)

  • The video recommendation services help to save the user's information search time in the overflowing online information, and algorithms for more efficient and accurate recommendation are continuously developed. In particular, TikTok has the largest number of users in the short video industry due to its unique recommendation algorithms. In this study, by applying a privacy calculation model, the research tried to compare users' responses to each type of TikTok's recommendation service. Users are well aware of the privacy concerns and benefits of TikTok's recommendation service. Although there is a risk, it was found that users continue to use TikTok's recommendation service because the benefits are greater.

A Sustainable Development Issues and Trends in Myanmar: A Text Network Analysis (미얀마의 지속가능발전에 대한 이슈 및 트렌드 분석: 텍스트 네트워크 분석)

  • Myanmar was successful in increasing its sustainable development index during the three years period from 2018 to 2020. However, the index began to decline since 2021. This study aims to analyze both the success factors and obstacles for sustainable development in Myanmar. Using the search terms 'Myanmar' and 'sustainability', online news items were collected from January 2018 to December 2023 and were examined through text network analysis. The study identified the following success factors that contribute to sustainable development in Myanmar: foreign investments, private companies' participation in the effort, human resource development projects, and the use of new and renewable energy. The inhibition factors for the development efforts identified were: government's coercive/restrictive policies, labor rights violations, and forest degradation. The findings of this study provide useful insights for understanding the current status of sustainability in Myanmar from academic and practical perspectives. The results also present benchmarking information for policy-makers in Myanmar and other similar developing countries that are searching for strategic directions in their sustainable development efforts.

Critical Duration of Design Rainfall for the Design of Storm Sewer in Seoul (우수관거 설계를 위한 계획강우의 임계지속기간 -서울 지역을 중심으로-)

  • A hydrological method is performed to determine the critical duration of design rainfall for the design of storm sewer in Seoul. To seize the effect of the duration and the temporal distribution of the rainfall to the peak discharge of the storm sewer, the Huff's quartile method is used as a temporal pattern for the design rainfall of any durations (9 cases for 20-240 min.) with 10 years return period. The critical duration of design rainfall is determined as the duration which maximizes the peak discharge. This study is applied to 18 urban drainage systems in Seoul. The ILLUDAS model is applied to runoff analysis, and the result shows that the duration which maximizes peak discharge is 30, 60 minutes generally. The relation diagram between peak discharge for the critical duration and watershed area is prepared for the design of storm sewer.

  • A concept of sustainable development has become a major concern in international debate on water resources development and environmental conservation. Although sustainable water resources development and management takes a significant amount of concern in the development research, its applicability has not been insufficient in practices. The purpose of this study is to address a definition of sustainable water resources development and management and to illustrate relevant indicators. The study has also attempted to develop localized indicators hence to assess an availability of water resources development and management and to evaluate the water resources in Korea with the indicators which have been developed in other countries.

  • 기대일치이론에 기초한 기대일치모형은 정보시스템 연구 분야에서 정보시스템의 지속적인 사용 혹은 사용의도를 설명하는 핵심 이론으로 언급되어 왔다. 이러한 기대일치모형과 더불어 최근에 정보시스템 분야에서 주목을 받고 있는 또 다른 개념은 자동화된 행동 경향을 의미하는 ‘습관’이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 두 가지 개념들을 기초로 모바일 인터넷 서비스에 대한 지속적인 이용 상황에서 습관과 기대일치모형을 통합하는 시도를 하였다. 이에 일치, 지각된 유용성, 지각된 사용 용이성, 습관 등의 수용후 신념, 이용자 만족, 지속적 이용의도로 구성된 연구모형을 구성하고 이를 검증하였다. J도내 250명의 대학생들을 대상으로 설문자료를 수집하여 분석한 결과, 기대일치와 지각된 유용성이 모바일 인터넷 서비스의 이용자 만족에 대한 주요 요인으로서 나타났다. 또한 지각된 유용성, 이용자 만족, 습관은 모바일 인터넷 서비스에 대한 지속적 이용의도를 결정하는 주요 요인으로 나타났다. 반면에 지각된 이용 용이성은 이용자 만족과 지속적 이용의도 모두에 대하여 아무런 관련성이 없는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 생성형AI(Generative AI, GenAI) 서비스는 단순/반복적인 업무를 자동화하고, 많은 일자리의 생산성 향상에 도음을 주어 전반적으로 기존 일자리 감소에 영향을 줄 것이다. 반면에 높은 수준의 생성형AI 기술을 낮은 비용으로 활용할 수 있게 하고, 예술, 게임, 미디어 산업 등 창작 영역과 플랫폼 기반의 서비스 출시에 도움을 주어, 창조적 아이디어에 기반한 소수의 인원이 참여하는 1인 창조기업에서 새로운 일자리 창출에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 것이다. 본 연구의 목적은 1인 지식 창업자라고 할 수 있는 컨설턴트, 강사들이 생성형AI의 강점인 창의성을 활용하여 업무 효율을 높이는 데 적극적으로 활용할 수 있도록 생성형AI 서비스 특성이 지속이용의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 기술수용모델(TAM)을 활용하여 생성형AI의 서비스 특성인 효율성, 창의성, 의인화, 개인화 및 자율성이 지속이용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구를 인지된 유용성과 인지된 이용 용이성을 중심으로 진행하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 생성형AI의 서비스 특성이 인지된 유용성과 인지된 이용 용이성을 증진하고, 인지된 유용성과 인지된 이용 용이성이 지속 이용의도에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 인과적 경로를 검증하고자 한다. 1인 창업자가 외부의 도움없이 지속적으로 높은 수준의 업무효율를 유지할 수 있게 도움이 되는 지속사용의도를 종속변수로 설정하여 본 연구를 진행하였다.

A Study on the Improvement of Huff's Method for Applying in Korea : II. Improvement of Huff's Method (Huff 강우시간분포방법의 개선방안 연구 : II. Huff 방법의 개선방안)

  • In this study, we propose a new method that utilizes rainfall data in and out of a basin, which is greater than 25.4mm for point rainfall or 12.7mm for areal mean rainfall respectively. From our analysis, most frequent quartile for point and areal mean rainfall were found to be the same in general for various rainfall duration intervals. From an evaluation of design rainfall per each rainfall duration distributed in time by the MOCT(Ministry of Construction and Transportation) version of Huff's method and this study, peak rainfall intensity by this study was found to be greater than the one by MOCT, but there were no consistent increase or decrease of this difference with rainfall durations. Using the distributed design rainfall per each duration by MOCT and this study, corresponding flood inflow hydrographs were simulated and compared each other. Contrary to the case of peak rainfall intensity, difference in peak flow by both methods per each rainfall duration started to increase from about 12-hr duration. Especially, the difference in peak flow was significant when critical rainfall duration was considered, and this trend was similar for peak flows of other rainfall durations. Therefore, the method proposed in this study is thought to be the effective procedure for the construction of dimensionless cumulative rainfall curve that is representative of a basin while considering time distribution characteristics for different rainfall durations.

The Long-lived Volatility of Korean Stock Market and Its Relation to Macroeconomic Conditions (한국 주식시장의 지속적 변동성과 거시경제적 관련성 분석)

  • This study aims to understand the long-run movement of volatility in Korean stock market by decomposing stock volatility into the long-lived and the short-lived components. In addition, I analyze how the low-frequency movement of stock market volatility is related to changes in macroeconomic conditions. The volatility decomposition is made based on the GARCH-MIDAS model, in which the long-lived volatility is constructed based on the combination of realized volatilities (RVs). The results show that the long-lived volatility contains information of up to 3~4 years of past RVs. In addition, the changes in the long-lived volatility can explain about two thirds of volatility changes in the Korean stock market from 1994 to 2009. Meanwhile, the low-frequency movement in the market volatility can be related to changes in macroeconomic conditions. The analysis shows that the stock market volatility appears to be countercyclical while showing a positive correlation with the inflation. In addition, the stock market volatility tends to rise as macroeconomic uncertainty increases. These results imply that macroeconomic policies aiming at economic stabilization could contribute to reduction in the stock market volatility.

  • This paper aims to discuss and develop theories of social sustainability as an alternative of urban development, recognizing that urban development paradigm needs to turn to the qualitative perspective. Urban development in Korea has mainly focused on quantitative expansion disregarding qualitative development so far. Korean cities has achieved the quantitative accumulation of wealth due to the strategy. However, as a result, it is also certain that socio-economic problems such as urban poverty, social polarization, deterioration of welfare and quality of life are getting more serious. In the context that social sustainability meets social needs of urban residents based on equity and focuses on social development, it has an important meaning in relation of social and economic problems such as inequality and distribution of urban development. Furthermore, social sustainablity can foster urban residents' endogenous capability and governances. The importance of social sustainablity has been standed out and its concept and practical problems have been discussed diversely among researchers in the Western advanced countries for the last decade. However, social sustainability is still unattractive and its institutional strategy are insufficient in Korea. Concepts and practical problems of social sustainability have implications on the development path of Korean cities which have been accumulated contradiction due to the quantitative development for a long time.

  • Corporate Sustainability Management (CSM) is management approach and strategies that have grown in importance in recent years. and it is becoming increasingly important to organizations in every industry including the construction industry as well. It is important to establish and continuously manage and improve the strategies at the industrial and enterprise level and also to understand their trend. The most practical way to understand the overall sustainability management strategies and trend of construction companies is to analyze the sustainability management report of representative construction companies and to derive keywords for sustainability management, and then analyzed them using big data. The objective of the study is to analyze the trend of CSM strategies of Korean contractors in terms of key characteristics and implications by big data analysis employing keywords identified in the CSM reports of five major contractors in the Korean construction industry. Understanding the sustainable management strategy trend of construction companies has important significance in terms of being able to find out the issues that the construction industry and construction companies should focus on in order to pro-actively prepare for the future.
