Persistent accidents related to food safety and expanded international trades have urged the world to be aware of the gravity of the accidents. Accordingly many countries have tried to come up with various laws, regulations, measures, support networks and educational programs for the agenda, particularly focusing on harmonizing food safety technologies among nations and fostering professionals. Also, APEC newly organized Food Safety Cooperation Forum (FSCF) in 2007 to exert multi-dimensional efforts to improve food safety for Asia Pacific nations. Up to now, 35 activities have been promoted since 2007 and additional 20 activities are waiting for their turns for action on the list of APEC project agenda. FSCF has the objective that it helps the stakeholders in food supply chain develop their own competence in that area, thus increase international trade among nations and maintain the globe healthy by applying the highest standards and best practices for the management of food safety ranging from production to consumption. To achieve this strategic objective, APEC subsequently formed Partnership Training Institute Network (PTIN) to build up the multilateral networks of specialists from governmental agencies engaging in food safety management, industries, academia and international organizations in Asia-Pacific region. This attempt made it possible for the world to exchange their scientific and technological information concerning food safety and strengthen related education and training. Today, international cooperation is essential for food safety management. Therefore, we need to participate actively in the activities of APEC FSCF to contribute to improving food safety technologies for the member countries of APEC. We also need to connect the domestic support programs with theirs.

Busan Biennale, began from 2000, has been argued that it would improve 'intrinsic introspection related to localism' against 'a lifestyle forced by capitalism in a global dimension', by promoting urban esthetic imagination in the public sphere of the city and reflecting it upon exhibited artworks. But Busan Biennale seems to reflect partly an attempt for new place marketing or urban reimagineering as a part of postmodern culture, even thought it has been planned to be an authentic stage or public-place art for citizens. This paper is to examine Busan Biennale 2006, held from Sep.16 to Nov.25 in Busan main theme of which is 'everywhere', constituted with three major projects: the Contemporary Art Exhibition, Sea Art Festival, and the Busan Sculpture Project. Ths paper considers first some implications of the transformation of modem to postmodern city, focusing on spatial representation of the city and public place art, and then tries to evaluate whether Busan Biennale is really embedded in the local authenticity and esthetic imagination for citizen or not. As concluding remarks, this paper suggests that Busan Biennale would be continuously developed, when it is oriented more towards local public-place art for citizens with their active participations rather than towards urban reimagineering strategy to make and promote an image of Busan as a global city.

This study is to examine how activities using local multi -cultural resources and world geography lessons using the CCAP(Cross-Cultural Awareness Programme) affect students' multi-cultural understanding. Activities using local multi-cultural resources were carried by visiting in an alien worker community, volunteering in multicultural center, attending on UNESCO ASP(Associated School Program), and making radio broadcasting program associated with 'SCN FM' which is a local broadcasting station on the weekend. And world geography lessons using the CCAP were conducted with 5 classes including orientation by inviting foreign instructors from that place after reconstructing the Southeast and South Asia unit of the countries such as Pakistan, the Philippines, Myanmar and Cambodia. According to twice questionnaire survey conducted before and after activities using local multi-cultural resources and world geography lessons using the CCAP, it appeared that students had familiarity more than before through direct meeting with foreigners inside and outside classroom, and understood and respected other cultures by acquiring contextual regional knowledge. In the end, multi-cultural activities and world geography lessons using the CCAP contributed to students' global citizenship, which overcame prejudice toward third world cultures. Like that, if world geography classes provide continually students with opportunities to experience directly diverse cultures inside and outside classroom, world geography overcome negative image that it transmit decontextual regional knowledge and is regarded as the subject that is very fit for nurturing global citizenship based on contextual knowledge, consideration and tolerance needed in global and multi-cultural society.

Building industry clients are suggested to clarify requirements and needs properly at the pre-project stage. According to these they can develop options to meet their needs with considering their resources and business case. At this stage, they make decisions while professionals in the industry are not involving. This process is called client briefing at the pre-project stage. However, client briefing is not a discrete process only conducted at this stage; various clients briefings should be performed over a project lift cycle. The client briefing at the pre-project stage is more important than others as the value for the clients is clarified at this stage - they may not be satisfied for the project results even when the project is finished on time within budget if the value itself is incorrectly defined. Given that the client briefing is important as stated, this paper aims to review theory on client briefing focusing those at the pre-project stage. As a part of research, a prototype workshop for client briefing is held and findings from it are summarized. Finally, suggestions for conducting client briefing in Korea are presented in terms of directions of relevant research, systems in the industry and points that clients or client briefing consultants should consider.
This study investigated population characteristics that influencing treatment service use of people who are voluntarily using drug dependency treatment services by using logistic and hierarchical regression analysis. The research model of the current study was driven by the framework of the 'the Behavioral Model of Health Services Use(the Andersen model)' that has been broadly applied to study on health behavior. This study used data from a sample group of 80 adults by using purposive sampling. This study found that some predisposing factors, enabling factors and need factors have direct effects on service use. In detail, individuals who graduated from high school use drug dependency treatment utilities more than those who did not. Further, individuals who were given more support from family, peers, or others, use the treatment utilities more frequently and were more willing to use the utilities continuously. Furthermore, the greater the perceived need felt by the dependent, the greater the tendency to enter hospitals or shelters. The important implications of this study for social work practice and social policy can be summarized as follows: first, this study supports the idea that intervention for drug dependents in Korea should be focused on environment resources rather than population characteristics; and government must support drug dependent treatment systems; the present study was the first to investigate Korean drug dependents through taking a more positive view, as well as the first to apply 'the Behavioral Model of Health Services Use', and as such represents an example of how studies could be productively conducted in the future. Despite these implications, there remain some limitations in this study. These include the following: limitation in generalizability of the results; the cross-sectional nature of the study design; survey research through the questionnaire method; using foreign scales; and the difficulty of classifying treatment settings.
This is a thesis about the whole process of cooperative study for the project, 'Jeju Tamranun idea' which produced by Capstone Design Class in communication design Dept, Hongik University. The purpose of this thesis is to know the primary educational goal and essence of capstone design class and to find the enhancement plan for the local design industry. The exhibitional project, 'Jeju Tamranun idea' was operated three times by hongik university with the company based on Jeju from 2017 to 2019. After the research, There are three positive effects of this project which are the new social function of the discarded assignments, the improvement of educational standard through the autonomous competition, and the growth of students' social consciousness in the process of considering local industries. And there are several points to be reviewed for a better capstone design class with local design industries. It is necessary to utilize the untact system for solving distance issues. And also, absolute evaluations, giving equal reward, and copyright protection are needed. Lastly, the continuous development of the curriculum to improve local design industries is needed.
