재난으로서의 신종인플루엔자 유행

  • 신종인플루엔자 대유행은 현대사회에서 국내에서 겪어보지 못한 전염병의 창궐이란 점 뿐 아니라 재난관리체계를 21세기에 들어 새로이 발생하고 있는 신종 및 특수재난까지 대상으로 하여 효과적으로 대응할 수 있도록 요구한다. 전통적 재난관리에 익숙한 많은 재난 관련 인력들이 신종인플루엔자의 대유행을 단순히 새로운 전염병의 시각으로 본다면 향후 새로운 형태의 특수한 재난에 대하여 국가사회적 역량을 효율적으로 집결시키기 어렵다. 따라서 신종인플루엔자가 어떠한 것이며 대유행 시 대웅 원칙과 예상 피해 및 세계 및 국내에서 어떠한 방식으로 대비하고 대처하려고 하는지 흐름을 이해할 필요성이 높아지고 있어 그에 대한 개략적 정리를 하였다. 이를 통하여 새로운 재난으로서 신종인플루엔자 대유행을 이해하고 적절한 대처방안을 지속적으로 수정, 도출해나가야 한다.

  • Through literature review, this paper studies the development stages of Quality Circles and 6 sigma which are representative of domestic quality improvement activities. Thus, using the judgement guideline of Van der Wiele's classification for fad, fashion, and fit, the development stages for existing researches of Quality Circles and 6 sigma are qualitatively classified by research themes. In addition to, academic and business perspective are examined to grasp a current position of domestic quality improvement activities. As a result of the findings of current development stages of quality improvement activities, domestic Quality Circles which are not going to move on a fit stage are currently classified as the stage between fashion and fit, and 6 sigma activities are currently classified as the stage of fashion.

호흡기,소화기계 감염환자로부터 전염성 바이러스 분리 및 특성

  • 호흡기계 및 소화기계에 감염된 전염성 바이러스에 대한 역학적 기초자료로 이용하고자 1999년 1월부터 12월까지 부산지역에서 분리된 전염성 바이러스의 특징과 계절적 발생추이, 환자의 성별, 연령별 발생에 대해 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 1999년도 바이러스 가검물 2261건에서 분리한 호흡기계감염 바이러스 279건과 소화기계 감염 바이러스 83주를 분리하였으며, 이중 인플루엔자 바이러스 A형이 96주(29.6%), B형이 107주(33.0%)로 대부분을 차지하였다. 2. 1999년의 바이러스 분리의 성별 분포는 총 360명의 환자 중 179명(49.7%)의 남성 및 181명(50.3%)의 여성으로 비슷한 양상을 나타내었다. 이중 호흡기계의 경우 279명의 감염환자 중 남성이 130명(46.6%), 여성이 149명(53.4%)으로 여성의 감염율이 비교적 높았으나, 소화기계의 경우 83명의 감염환자 중 남성이 51명(61.4%), 여성이 32명(38.5%)으로 남성의 감염율이 거의 2배정도 높게 나타났다. 3. 1999년의 연령별 분포는 10세 이하의 어린이가 194명(59.9%)으로 대부분을 차지하였으며, 이중 인플루엔자 바이러스가 99명(30.6%)으로 가장 높은 감염을을 나타내었다 유행성이하선염 바이러스의 감염어린이 중에 $l1{\sim}15$세의 연령층이 15명으로(53.3%)로 가장 높게 나타났다. 4. 1999년 월별 감염율은 호흡기계 감염증 바이러스의 경우 1월부터 4월까지, 그리고 12월에 증가 추세를 보이면서 4월에 가장 높은 감염율을 나타내었다 소화기계 감염증 바이러스의 경우 9, 10, 11월을 제외한 모든 월별에 관찰되었으며, echo와 coxsackie 바이러스는 무균성 수막염 환자에서 하절기에 집중적으로 발생하였다. 동절기에 유행하는 설사 바이러스는 12월에 비교적 높은 양상을 나타내었다. 5. 인플루엔자 바이러스는 MDCK 세포에서, 아데노 바이러스와 유행성 이하선염 바이러스는 HEp-2 세포에서, 파라인플루엔자 바이러스는 Vero 세포에서, 그리고 echo, coxsackie B 바이러스와 장내 바이러스는 HEp-2, Vero, BGM 세포에서 뚜렷한 세포병변 효과를 나타내었다. 6. 분리한 바이러스는 전자현미경으로 관찰한 결과 인플루엔자 바이러스 A 형(HINI, H3N2)은 95nm, B 형은 70nm크기의 구형을 나타내었으며, 바이러스표면의 지질 이중층이 뚜렷하게 관찰되었다. 아데노 바이러스는 외피가 관찰되지 않았으며, nucleocapsid는 symmetry이고 크기는 71nm로서 바이러스 입자 표면에 icosaheral capsomer의 배열이 명확하게 관찰되었고, 파라인플루엔자 바이러스와 유행성 이하선염 바이러스는 외피가 있는 구형의 큰 viron으로180, 170nm 크기이었다. 7. Echo와 coxsackie B group 바이러스는 모두 외피가 없는 isometric 형으로 크기는 $30{\sim}45nm$ 이었고, enteric adeno 바이러스는 84nm 크기로서 외피가 없고, 입자 표면에 capsomer의 배열이 명확하게 관찰되었고, rotavirus는 크기가 70nm이며 외층 capsid 단백질과 내층 capsid 단백질이 두층으로 되어 있는 전형적인 수레바퀴 모양을 나타내었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 호흡기계 및 소화기계에 감염되는 전염성 바이러스는 연중 지속적으로 분리되고 있으며 전염성이 강하여 집단 발생은 일으키는 경우도 많고 최근 들어 유행성 이하선염과 흥역 바이러스의 발생률이 높은 추이를 나타내고 있지만 아직은 특이한 바이러스 치료제가 개발되어 있지 않았으므로 지속적인 대책과 아울러 장기적인 발생 가능에 대한 예방책을 흥보하여야 할 것으로 보이며 계속적인 바이러스성 전염병 유행예측조사 및 역학조사가 적극적으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료된다.

A Study on Fashion Leadership of Clothing and Make-up, Information Sources, and Ongoing Information Search (의복 및 화장유행선도력, 정보원과 지속적 정보탐색에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze clothing fashion leadership and make-up fashion leadership of women's university students and investigate the relationships of information sources and ongoing information search. To achieve the purposes, a questionnaire was conducted to 400 female students from September 21 to October 30, 2011. The final data was analyzed with spss 17.0 program. The results were follows. First, It was found that information sources were classified 3 factors of marketer source, personal source, and mass media source. Second, there were significant differences of clothing fashion leadership and make-up fashion leadership by major and clothes and cosmetics purchasing expenses. Third, there were significant differences of clothing information sources and ongoing information search by major and clothes and cosmetics purchasing expenses. Forth, there were significant differences of make-up information sources and ongoing information search by major and clothes and cosmetics purchasing expenses. Fifth, there were significant relations of clothing/make-up fashion leadership, information sources, and ongoing information search. Thus, it was found that clothing fashion leadership and make-up fashion leadership are related to information sources and ongoing information search.

  • In this paper, we present a standard model of livestock epidemic service in the field of smart livestock, which is emerging as an important issue in smart agriculture. By using the network to identify the global livestock epidemic disease risk and provide relevant models to service users, it is expected that it will actually provide economic benefits to livestock owners and ultimately help the national livestock industry economy. In order to apply the standard livestock epidemic service standard model and the livestock infectious disease crisis mitigation standard model sharing method that is presented in conjunction with ICT to the standards in the domestic and international agricultural and livestock industries in the future, continuous research will be carried out.

Viral Etiology and Clinical Pattern of Acute Lower Respiratory Tract Infection in Children(Busan Area in 2002) (소아 급성 하기도 감염의 바이러스 원인 및 임상 양상 (2002년 부산 지역))

  • Purpose : Respiratory viruses are one of the most infectious agent in human. Acute lower respiratory tract infection(ALRTIs) is associated with significant morbidity and mortality in children. This study is performed to investigate the etiologic organism, age and sex distribution, clinical manifestations and seasonal occurrence of ALRTIs in children. Methods : Viral agent was evaluated with nasopharyngeal aspirates, rhinorrhea and saliva collected from 568 patients. We confirmed viral agents in 54 patients who were younger than 15 year old. They had visited Maryknoll Hospital, Busan in Korea from January, 2002 to December, 2002 for ALRTIs. Results : The viral pathogens identified were Influenza A virus(59.3%), Enterovirus(33.3%), Adenovirus(5.6%), and Influenza B virus(1.9%). Parainfluenza virus and Respiratory syncytial virus were not detected. The occurrence of acute lower respiratory infections was high between 3 & 6 years old. The clinical patterns include pneumonia(51.9%), bronchitis(31.5%), croup(9.3%), bronchiolitis(7.4%). The respiratory viral agents had their characteristic seasonal patterns. Conclusion : Influenza A virus was the most common cause of acute lower respiratory tract infections in Busan area during the 2002. ALRTIs had high occurrence between 3 to 6 years old. And the most common clinical patterns were pneumonia and bronchitis.

Consumer Trend Color Perception of Brand Personality and Attitude (소비자의 유행색 브랜드 개성 지각과 태도)

  • Colors, as a part of contents, have great implications to consumers. Each individual feels the image of colors as an outcome of the accumulated experience or knowledge of oneself. This study aims to find the personality and meaning of color images through the predicted trend colors and to analyze the consumers' attitude towards them. We found that the 5 major trend colors such as Crystal Sound, Creamy Touch, Mysterious Vintage, Autumn Forest and Carnival seem to have their own personality images. Furthermore, we discovered that Crystal Sound has an image of a self-made man, Creamy Touch a highschool girl, Mysterious Vintage a God father, Autumn Forest the public and Carnival a circus clown as a result of additional adjective image analysis. In addition, customers marked the highest preference for Creamy Touch. The research result shows that the personality of an individual and that of colors are coincide and it might bring about a positive consumer behavior. And this research has a significant meaning since it is a sort of interdisciplinary study in-between fashion and marketing and it should be studied further later.

A Study on the Relationship between the Fashion Leadership and the Characteristics of the Shopping-related Behavior (유행선도력과 쇼핑관련특성과의 관계 연구 -쇼핑동기, 지속적 정보탐색, 충동구매와 관련하여-)

  • Fashion is the social process concerned with the spread of a new product from its source to consumer. Fashion leadership may be associated the shopping-related behaviors, such as shopping motives, on-going information search, impulse buying behavior. In order to study the relationship between the fashion leadership and the shopping-related characteristics, Three research problems were set up for the study as follows: Research problem 1: To investigate the fashion leadership. Research problem 2: To analyze the relationship between the fashion leadership and the characteristics of shopping-related behavior. Research problem 3: To analyze the relationship between the fashion leadership and other fashion-related behaviors. After statistical analysis using the SPSSWIN, the following results was found. Fashion leadership approximates the normal distribution curve, and its structure consists of one dimension. Using the factor analysis, the two kinds of shopping motive was confirmed hedonic motive and cognitive motive. Fashion leadership was related to the hedonic shopping motive. Also there were positive associations between the fashion leadership on-going information search behavior, and the impulse buying behavior. And there was significant association between the fashion leadership and expense for clothes and spending time for shopping.

Clinical Characteristics of Pediatric Patients With the Coronavirus Disease 2019 During the Third and Fourth Waves of the Epidemic in Korea: A Single Center Retrospective Study (국내 코로나바이러스감염증-19 유행 제3-4기 소아청소년 환자의 임상적 특성: 단일기관 후향적 연구)

  • Purpose: Since the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic began, new variants of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) have emerged, and distinct epidemic waves of COVID-19 have occurred for an extended period. This study aimed to analyze the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of children with COVID-19 from the third wave to the middle of the fourth epidemic wave in Korea. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of hospitalized patients aged ≤18 years with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19. The study periods were divided into the third wave (from November 13, 2020 to July 6, 2021) and the fourth wave (from July 7 to October 31, 2021). Results: Ninety-three patients were included in the analysis (33 in the third and 60 in the fourth waves). Compared with the third wave, the median age of patients was significantly older during the fourth wave (6.7 vs. 2.8 years, P=0.014). Household contacts was reported in 60.2% of total patients, similar in both periods (69.7 vs. 55.0%, P=0.190). Eighty-one (87.1%) had symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection. Among these, 10 (12.3%) had no respiratory symptoms. Anosmia or ageusia were more commonly observed in the fourth epidemic wave (10.7 vs. 34.0%, P=0.032). Most respiratory illness were upper respiratory tract infections (94.4%, 67/71), 4 had pneumonia. The median cycle threshold values (detection threshold, 40) for RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) and envelope (E) genes of SARS-CoV-2 were 21.3 and 19.3, respectively. There was no significant difference in viral load during 2 epidemic waves. Conclusions: There were different characteristics during the two epidemic waves of COVID-19.
