Method for determining flood risk in construction sites using artificial neural network techniques (인공 신경망 기법을 활용한 건설 현장 침수 위험 판정 방법)

  • 최근 기후변화에 따라 극한 강우로 전 세계적으로 국지적 홍수 피해가 증가하고 있다. 또한 극한 강우 발생시 다양한 건설 현장의 상황에 따라 침수 취약성이 나타나 인적 물적 피해로 이어질 수 있다. 특히, 시공에 따른 현장 지형 변화에 대해 실시간으로 침수 예측이 불가하여 위험 판단이 어려운 실정이며, 극한 강우 발생에 대비하기 위해 강우 정보 획득 및 분석을 효율화하여 강우예측 정확성을 높일 필요가 있다. 이러한 필요성에 따라 본 연구에서는 건설 현장의 침수 피해를 최소화하기 위해 침수 위험을 판정하고 예측하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구의 침수 위험 판정 방법은 건설 현장에서 실시간 지형변화 정보 확보와 침수 위험 판정의 정확도를 높이기 위한 침수심 분석에 인공 신경망 기법을 활용하였다. 또한, 침수판정 알고리즘은 지형, 강우 분석 모듈과 침수판정 모듈로 구성하였다. 지형 분석 모듈은 건설 현장이 시공진행에 따른 지형 데이터의 변화를 고려하기 위해 실시간 영상 정보의 객체 탐지를 구분하는 인공 신경망 기법을 적용해 지형 분석 모듈을 구축하였다. 강우 분석 모듈은 다양한 강우 정보를 취합할 수 있는 서버를 구축하여 강우 임베딩 정보를 실시간으로 분석하도록 고안하여 정확도를 높였다. 이러한 자료를 바탕으로 강우-유출해석에 의한 침수심 값과 실측값, 침수 지표를 활용하여 인공 신경망 기법으로 침수 위험을 판정하도록 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 건설 현장에서 지형 상태의 지속적인 변화와 강우데이터의 정확도 향상에 대응할 수 있는 침수 위험 판정이 가능하고 인적 물적 피해 최소화를 기대할 수 있다. 향후, 본 연구에서 제시된 방법은 건설 현장에서 분석 시스템과 실측 모니터링에 의해 검증되어야 할 것이며, 건설 현장 외에도 스마트 도시 및 지하 공간에서 확대하여 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Recently, by growing of Korean comics/animation markets and number of consumers, the more people have been reproducing culture contents into derived contents. However, user experience of active users who enjoy these cultures have not been accepted well like other local culture festivals in South Korea, though there are high potentials of vitalization comics/animation festivals using the active users. In this study, the experiences of participants of BICOF (Bucheon International Comics Festival) from 2013 to 2014 researched using the method of ethnography, especially using (group) interviews and participant observations. The result from the research indicates that cosplayers have limited range of participation inside of festival. And they have negative experiences during their participation into festivals. Therefore, this study suggests necessity of methodology of continuous reflecting of the user experiences of active users into festival, for the solution of the successful festival, who was objectified in the festival.

Prediction of Land Surface Temperature by Land Cover Type in Urban Area (도시지역에서 토지피복 유형별 지표면 온도 예측 분석)

  • Urban expansion results in raising the temperature in the city, which can cause social, economic and physical damage. In order to prevent the urban heat island and reduce the urban land surface temperature, it is important to quantify the cooling effect of the features of the urban space. Therefore, in order to understand the relationship between each object of land cover and the land surface temperature in Seoul, the land cover map was classified into 6 classes. And the correlation and multiple regression analysis between land surface temperature and the area of objects, perimeter/area, and normalized difference vegetation index was analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the normalized difference vegetation index showed a high correlation with the land surface temperature. Also, in multiple regression analysis, the normalized difference vegetation index exerted a higher influence on the land surface temperature prediction than other coefficients. However, the explanatory power of the derived models as a result of multiple regression analysis was low. In the future, if continuous monitoring is performed using high-resolution MIR Image from KOMPSAT-3A, it will be possible to improve the explanatory power of the model. By utilizing the relationship between such various land cover types considering vegetation vitality of green areas with that of land surface temperature within urban spaces for urban planning, it is expected to contribute in reducing the land surface temperature in urban spaces.

High Definition Road Map Object usability Verification for High Definition Road Map improvement (정밀도로지도 개선을 위한 정밀도로지도 객체 활용성 검증)

  • As the 4th Industrial Revolution era in worldwide, interest in autonomous vehicles is increasing. but due to recent safety issues such as pedestrian accidents and car accidents, as a technical model for this, the demand for 3D HD maps (High Definition maps) is increasing in including lanes, road markings, road information, traffic lights and traffic signs etc. However, since some complementary points have been continuously raised according to demand, It is necessary to collect the opinions of institutions and companies utilizing HD maps and to improve HD maps. This study was conducted by utilizing the results of the contest for usability verification of HD Maps hosted by the National Geographic Information Institute and organized by the Spatial Information Industry Promotion Institute. For this study, we researched HD maps' layers and codes for HD maps object usability to improve HD maps, constructed HD maps object usability items accordingly, and contested usability verification of HD maps according to the items The contestants conducted verification and analyzed the results. As a result, the most frequently used code for each layer was the flat intersection, and the code showing the highest usage rate was a safety sign. In addition, the use rate of the sub-section and height obstacles was 16.67% and 8.88%, respectively, showing a low ratio. In order to utilize HD maps in the future, this study is expected to require research to continuously collect opinions from customers and improve data objects and data models that are actually needed by customers.

A Study on the Determinants of Perceived Social Usefulness and Continuous Use Intention of the Internet of things in the Public Sector (공공부문 사물인터넷의 지각된 사회적 유용성 및 지속사용의도 향상을 위한 결정요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study is to find the key factors of the Internet of Things for development in public sector. In previous studies, it is said that Internet of Things can work digital system without human operation and gives a lot of outputs(information) users. Generally, people are a subject of operating digital system in traditional way, while people are an object on the internet of things. In other words, it is possible to work digital system with only networking from things to things. After all, it is reported that these advantages of the Internet of Things make possible to reduce social costs significantly in public sector. However, despite the strengths of the Internet of Things, there is a specific user acceptance of the technology factor for the Internet of Things rarely. It means that developing of the Internet of Things only focuses on the final purpose. If the focus on development meet this purpose, the user is ignored for the specific reason that using a technique. As a result of this, many users gradually decrease the continuous using of the Internet of Things. Thus, in this study, we need to find what critical factors should reflect to the Internet of Things in public sector. To find this result, there is no choice to use Technology Acceptance Model(TAM). Many researchers have proved that Technology Acceptance Model is valid through the four process in model introduction, confirmation, expansion and refinement from 1986 to 2003. The results of this study showed that the result explanatory power of Internet of Things in public sector is the most important factor affecting only perceived social usefulness and ease of use. Finally, it can be seen that the user has a positive attitude toward use, which has a positive effect on the intention to use continuously. The implications of this study are summarized as follows: When the public Internet of Things service is provided, it means that the user can easily understand the result, and when the person and the object communicate the result to each other, they should be able to communicate with each other. This means that a lot of user effort is needed to understand the outcome of the public Internet of Things being provided.

  • Abnormal situation caused by aggressive behavior of pigs adversely affects the growth of pigs, and comes with an economic loss in intensive pigsties. Therefore, IT-based video surveillance system is needed to monitor the abnormal situations in pigsty continuously in order to minimize the economic demage. In this paper, we propose a new Kinect camera-based monitoring system for the detection of the individual pigs. The proposed system is characterized as follows. 1) The background subtraction method and depth-threshold are used to detect only standing-pigs in the Kinect-depth image. 2) The moving-pigs are labeled as regions of interest. 3) A contour method is proposed and applied to solve the touching-pigs problem in the Kinect-depth image. The experimental results with the depth videos obtained from a pig farm located in Sejong illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

  • According to the increase of container flows and the appearance of large-sized container vessels, the container handling equipment in ports is evolving continuously. This research introduces the simulation model for evaluating in detail the mechanical productivity of container cranes. The model considers a single trolley and dual trolleys as the mechanism of a container crane and a single lift, a twin lift, and a tandem lift as the spreader type of it. Additionally, the detail specifications such as the dimension and the speed of a container crane are inputted and the kinematic characteristics of it are simulated. The model also considers the size of a vessel, the storage position of containers in the vessel, and the weight of containers as external physical constraints. Experimental conditions can be configured conveniently because various parameters in the model are separated. Moreover, the model can accommodate flexibly new equipment types and the changes of the existing equipment because it is designed and developed in object-oriented concept.

  • Quantity of encrypted data that transmitted through the network are increasing by development of encipherment technology. We have many problems; it is caused by technical development and service increase of user requests. It is necessary that create a many encryption key in one web application system. As a result, service quality comes to be low because of increased network traffic and system overload. There must be a system. That should be improved in secure service quality to process data. This paper describes a new approach for design and implementation of distributed encryption key processing for web application system. In this paper, it is based on distributed encipherment key, for the purpose of confidentially, integrity and authentication. It can prevent system degradation from server's data bottleneck and can improve service quality. For distributed encipherment system, we use java object activation technology. It can service while some distributed server are fail.

  • In mobile environment supporting mobility technologies, user requirements have been increased with respect to utilization of location information. In particular, moving object DBMS has consistently posed in order to efficiently maintain traffic information related to location of vehicle which tents to tremendously change over time. Despite the fact that these sorts of researches must be taken into consideration, empirical studies on moving object in terms of map database for lbs service, spatial attribute of which is continuously changed over time, have rarely performed. Therefore, aim of this paper is to suggest efficient spatial index scheme, which is capable of supporting query processing algorithm and location of moving object over time, by developing new empirical model. As a result, we can come to the conclusion that moving object model based on multi-fixed grid index makes it possible to cut down on the number of entity for retrieving. What's more, this model enables hierarchical data to be accessed through efficient spatial filtering on large-scale lbs data and constraints in accordance with level in order to display map.

Aerial Video Summarization Approach based on Sensor Operation Mode for Real-time Context Recognition (실시간 상황 인식을 위한 센서 운용 모드 기반 항공 영상 요약 기법)

  • An Aerial video summarization is not only the key to effective browsing video within a limited time, but also an embedded cue to efficiently congregative situation awareness acquired by unmanned aerial vehicle. Different with previous works, we utilize sensor operation mode of unmanned aerial vehicle, which is global, local, and focused surveillance mode in order for accurately summarizing the aerial video considering flight and surveillance/reconnaissance environments. In focused mode, we propose the moving-react tracking method which utilizes the partitioning motion vector and spatiotemporal saliency map to detect and track the interest moving object continuously. In our simulation result, the key frames are correctly detected for aerial video summarization according to the sensor operation mode of aerial vehicle and finally, we verify the efficiency of video summarization using the proposed mothed.
