Factors Influencing the Communication Behavior of nurses caring for people with Dementia: Focused on the compassionate competence and Burnout (치매대상자를 돌보는 간호사의 의사소통행위 영향요인: 공감역량과 소진을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of nurse's compassionate competence and burnout on their communication behavior with dementia patients. The subjects of this study were 190 nurses who were taking care of patients with dementia at long-term care hospitals and who agreed with the survey. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, and multiple regression. The communication behavior of nurses caring for dementia patients was found to have a significant correlation with compassionate competence and burnout. Multiple regression analysis showed that nurses' compassionate competence and burnout affected communication behavior, and the total explanatory power was 31%. It is suggested that the results of this study can be used as basic data for developing programs to improve communication behavior with patients with dementia.

Priority Decision of Small Hydropower Development using Spatial Multi-Criteria Decision Making (공간 다기준의사결정을 활용한 소수력 개발의 우선순위 결정)

  • Recently, it is expected that small hydropower (SHP) could potentially provide sufficient amounts of alternative energy in Korea where there is an abundance of potential sites and where social efforts are being made to reduce the emissions of green house gases. In the past, the resources survey for SHP development has been carried out using onsite surveys and paper maps, which incurred a great deal of time and cost. Furthermore, the tools for decision making such as determining development priorities or evaluating feasibility have been considered only economic aspect and focused on the performance characteristics of power generation. However, as the concept of sustainable development has been being advanced in recent years, especially focused on human-social, environmental and ecological in addition to economical sector; the consideration of these multiple criteria has become essential for sustainable SHP development. This study aims to propose the spatial multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) methodology for determining priorities among a number of locations on the planning stage of SHP development using AHP and GIS. The proposed methodology is applied for determining development priorities among the SHP locations in Cho River basin and this study presents the detailed spatial information data and the results of development priorities. As a fundamental work, this study will be beneficial to the future activation of SHP development and will help the decision making in evaluating the feasibility of SHP development.

  • 최근 대체수자원 개발, 도시 비점오염과 물순환 체계의 효율적 관리를 위한 분산식 빗물관리기술에 대한관심이 급증하고 있다. 이수 목적의 빗물이용시설, 치수목적의 우수유출 저감시설, 택지개발사업의 재해저감시설 등 다양한 목적으로 시설들이 도입되고 있다. 그러나 치수용 시설에 있어 설계강우에 따른 홍수량 산정방법을 제외하고는 이수 및 물순환 건전화를 위한 계획, 설계기술은 현재까지도 부족한 실정이다. 특히 이수목적의 경우 집수면의 토지이용 특성, 용도별 사용수량 및 경제성에 대한 검토 없이 집수면적이나 대지면적의 일정비율 이상을 설계하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내에서의 빗물관리시설 계획 설계를 지원하기 위해 공동주택 빗물관리 의사결정지원 모형(RainCity v1.5 Beta)을 개발하였다. 강우자료는 5분 간격의 설계강우, 시우량 및 일 강우자료를 DB나 사용자 파일로부터 호출하도록 하였으며, 토지이용 특성에 따라 유출계수를 고려한 수문학적 집수면적을 산정하여 적용하였다. 현재 버전은 이수 및 치수용 저류조, 침투통, 침투트렌치, 침투블럭 등 장치형 침투시설과 투수성포장 등 지표면 침투시설을 대상으로 하였으며, 각 시설조합의 설치에 따른 유입/유출량, 침투량 및 사용수량 등 물순환 과정을 모의할 수 있다. 특히 선택된 시설조합은 규모 시나리오에 따라 목표 기능에 맞는 시설규모들을 선정하고, 비용-편익분석을 통해 경제적인 시설규모를 결정할 수 있다. 향후 지속적으로 GUI를 개선하여 사용자 편의도를 높이고, 식생형 침투도랑, 생태연못, 중수이용시설과의 연계 등 기능을 확대할 계획이므로 국내에서의 빗물관리시설의 계획 설계 시 활용도가 높을 것으로 기대된다.

The Study of a Multi-Mobile Agents System for Online Hotel Reservation (온라인 호텔 예약을 위한 다중 이동 에이전트 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • As electronic commerce(EC) has grown rapidly, agents that work on the behalf of humans on the Internet are being used actively. However, most of the EC agents have some problems. They fail to fully support buyers' decision making behaviors and sellers' information supply activities. Further, they are not suited for mobile computing environment. In this paper, we introduce a Multi-Mobile Agents System(MMAS) that has been developed according to a conceptual framework that corrects the aforementioned problems. Built by using Tokyo IBM ASDK(Aglets Software Development Kit) for the area of hotel reservation, the system consists of buyer- and seller-side agents that interact with each other; buyer-side agents help buyers to make purchasing decisions by collecting and analyzing information through applying a multi-criteria decision making method, while seller-side agents substitute fur sellers by managing databases and providing real-time information to the buyer-side agents. In this system, multiple agents perform their shared tasks at the same time in order to increase efficiency. Users do not have to keep the connection with the system because they are notified when tasks are done.

  • Agile methodologies in software development, including the development of artificial intelligence software, have been widespread over the past several years. In spite of the popularity of agile methodologies in practice, there is a lack of empirical evidence to identify determinants of success of software projects in which agile methods are used. To understand the role of clients in software project where agile methods are used, we examine the effect of client-side factors, including lack of user involvement, unrealistic client expectations, and constant changes of requirements on project success from practitioners' perspective. Survey methods are used in this study. Data were collected by means of online survey to IT professionals who have experience with software development methodologies, and ordered logit regression is used to analyze the survey data. Results of our study imply the following managerial findings. First, user involvement is critical to project success to take advantage of agile methods. Second, it is interesting that, with an agile method, constant changes of client's requirements is not a negative factor but a positive factor of project success. Third, unrealistic client expectations do negatively affect project success even with agile methods.

Pleurodesis with Autologous Blood Plus Sclerosing Agents (자가혈과 늑막유착제를 이용한 늑막유착술 -치험 2례 보고-)

  • The patients with prolonged air leak after lung resection surgery were generally treated by pleurodesis with sclerosing agents such as talc, tetracyclin, doxycyclin, bleomycin, vibramycin, and OK432. However, for the case like dead space resulted by incomplete reexpansion of the remaining lung, chemical pleurodesis has shown to be not as effective as expected. If the patients keep the chest tube for long period of time, the risk of thoracic empyema would increase. Most thoracic surgeons have experienced prolonged airleak which developed after lung resection. Pleurodesis with autoblood was reported as an effective method in treatment of patients with prolonged airleak. The mechanism of blood pleurodesis may be direct obliteration of BPF and reduction of dead space by clot. Therefore we successfully treated the two patients with prolonged airleak using the autoblood plus OK432 or vibramycin.

A survey on the Status of Utilization and Consumers' Opinions for Commercial Soup Stock (상품화된 육수의 이용 현황 및 소비자 의견 조사)

  • 본 연구는 상품화된 육수 재료의 이용 현황 및 소비자 의견을 조사하기 위하여 수행되었고 이를 위해 서울에 거주하는 500명의 주부를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 사용하는 제품의 종류는 분말형이 가장 많았고 시간 절약과 편리함이 상품화된 육수재료를 사용하는 가장 주된 이유였다. 또한 육수 재료를 사용하는 방법으로는 육류로 만든 육수에 섞어서 사용하는 방법이 가장 많이 쓰이고 있었다. 상품화된 육수 재료의 기호도에 대해서는 응답자의 81%가 상품화된 육수에 대해 '좋아하지 않는다'라고 하였다. 좋아하지 않는 가장 큰 이유는 '첨가제에 대한 염려와 인공조미료 때문'이었다. 연령이 높고 결혼지속년수가 길수록 상품화된 육수 재료를 좋아하지 않는 비율은 높아졌다. 상품화된 육수가 품질만 보장된다면 응답자의 75%는 사용할 의사가 있는 것으로 나타났으나 나머지는 아무리 좋은 품질이라 해도 육수는 직접 제조하겠다고 응답하였다. 60대 이상의 응답자들만은 상품화된 육수를 사용하지 않겠다는 비율이 더 높아 60대 이상의 고령층은 상품화된 육수 제품에 대해 가장 거부감이 큰 연령대인 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구 결과, 상품화된 육수의 수요는 크나 시판되는 제품들에 대한 만족도는 낮은 것으로 나타났으므로 소비자 요구를 반영한 육수 제품에 대한 연구가 시급한 것으로 생각된다.

A Study on the Residential Satisfaction of Single Youth Households Tenants (청년 1인가구 임차인의 주거만족도에 관한 연구: 부산·경남지역을 중심으로)

  • To suggest implications of future housing problems, this study investigates which characteristics affect the housing satisfaction of young single households. Using the survey data, we perform the multiple regression and decision tree models based on the SPSS Statistics 25.0. Our empirical results show several key features. First, housing characteristics and intention to continue single households had a positive (+) effect on housing satisfaction, in the order of natural, housing, physical characteristics, and intention to continue single households. Second, housing characteristics and intention to marry in the future had a positive (+) effect on housing satisfaction in the order of natural, housing, and physical characteristics. Third, housing characteristics and intention to increase household members in the future had a positive (+) effect on housing satisfaction, in the order of natural, housing, and physical characteristics satisfaction. Finally, the results of the decision tree model show that the natural characteristics were over 3.4, and housing satisfaction was the highest in the case of Jeonse. The results of this study provide three implications for policymakers. First, improving the residential environment of young single households is important. Second, providing customized housing for young single households could enhance the housing satisfaction of young people. Finally, housing provision needs to be carried out with suitable space for the lifestyle of young single households.

  • This study shows the application of sustainable water resource planning procedure developed in the previous paper. Its goal is to prevent the streamflow depletion in upstream watershed of the Anyangcheon which is a typical urban stream. The pressure-state-response model which is the framework to reflect the sustainability was applied. The composite programming which is the multilevel multicriteria decision making technique is also used in the calculation of state and evaluation index. The feasible alternatives were proposed and hydrologically analyzed by SWAT(Soil and Water Assessment Tool) and the priority ranking of alternatives were proposed based on the results of SWAT.

  • In National Defense field, the importance of M&S and T&E has been increased due to complexity of modern Weapon System. And research reducing time and cost is being conducted continually on using limited resources efficiently. In the existing research, Weapon System's Performance Evaluation System using the Process-based method has been in progress. But, Objective basis or scientific method is insufficient in selecting appropriate function of a target to performance evaluation. Due to this, it's difficult to select functions suitable to the situation in same type. Also, Requirements of user and interrelation of evaluation factors can't be reflected systematically. In this research, it proposes the method to reflecting requirements of user, interrelation of elements in realistic situation for selecting evaluation object in Performance Evaluation Simulation. First, Evaluation Objects is selected using ANP which is multi-criterion decision making method. Second, decision support system is constructed using Programming Language(C#) based on the research result.
