Using hybrid channel affords the benefits of achieving control through the direct channel and achieving flexibility through the indirect channel. However, using a hybrid channel also poses special challenges to a manufacturer, including the problem of managing multiple channel members with disparate goals and priorities. The purpose of this study is to enhance our understanding on the management of hybrid channel. We study marketing channels for fashion apparel to examine governance challenges and solutions of a hybrid channel. We have two objectives to fulfill that purpose. First, we aim to tie two largely separate research streams of salesforce management and marketing channel management together by examining both intrafrim governance and interfirm governance issues under one conceptual framework. Second, we aim to lay a ground work for rigorous further research on this topic by tying two major theoretical approaches of governance together under one conceptual framework. Our predictions were tested with data from the survey of apparel manufacturers and retailers. The analysis results support the predictions moderately.

Using DNS data for turbulent flows in an open-channel with sidewalls, the mechanisms by which secondary flows are generated and by which Reynolds shear stresses are created, are demonstrated. Near the sidewall, secondary flows invading towards the sidewall are observed in the regions of both lower and upper corners, while secondary flows ejecting from the sidewall towards the center of the channel are created elsewhere. The distributions of Reynolds shear stresses near the sidewall are analyzed, connecting their productions with coherent structures. A quadrant analysis shows that sweeps are dominant in two corner regions where secondary flows invading towards the sidewall are generated, but that ejections are dominant in the region where secondary flows ejecting towards the center of the channel are created. Also, conditional quadrant analyses reveal that the productions of Reynolds shear stresses and the patterns of secondary flows are determined by the directional tendencies of coherent structures.

Geomorphological, bed material and hydraulic characteristics are basis informations for the planning, design and management of the river in the aspect of flood control and environmental conservation, and it is very important to use these informations for the design of stable channel. In this study, dominant discharge was selected, geomorphological and hydraulic characteristics were analyzed using that discharge and also the characteristics of bed materials distribution were analyzed and bed materials-flow resistance relationship was evaluated, for the upstream section of Namgang dam. The dominant discharge was estimated a return period of approximately 1.5 year and stream type were classified Segment 1 and Segment 2 in this stream. Also, the frequency of riffle-pool showed 4.4 because this study area has the characteristics of natural channel that have not channel-crossing structures. In dominant discharge, according to the results that analyzed relationship between $h/d_{50}$ and $V/u_*$ to calculate flow resistance by bed materials, Julian's formula showed to appropriate in channel where is relatively close to natural river and is predominantly consisted of gravel, cobble, boulder and rock in mountain, and it was confirmed that the image processing methodology will be easily applied to the analysis of bed materials distribution in future.

In this paper, we have derived a continuum-based adjoint design sensitivity of general performance functionals with respect to Young' modulus and heat conduction coefficient for steady-state nonlinear thermoelastic problems. An adjoint equation for temperature and displacement fields is defined for the efficient computation of the coupled field design sensitivity. Through numerical examples, we investigated the mesh dependency of the topology optimization method in the thermoelastic problems. Also, comparing the dominant loading cases of thermal and mechanical ones, the loading dependency of topology design optimization in coupled multi-physics problems is investigated.

This article aims to analyze <Into the Mirror> and its remake version <Mirros>. Both feature the discrepancy between one and reflected image on mirror, which was a trend in the early 21th century. Although their backdrops and plots are similar, there are significant differences in motivation and others. Following the tradition of grievance redressing tale, it combines social criticism with the concept of encouraging good and punishing evil. Foregrounding the evil force of ghost through mirrors, <Mirrors> follows the Western tradition of horror movies. This remake exemplifies a way of reinterpreting and recreating an East-based narrative from a Western viewpoint where Christianity predominates.

스카이라인 질의는 데이터들 사이의 비교 연산을 통해 지배되지 않은 데이터들의 최소 집합을 스카이라인으로 탐색하며 이때 지배되지 않고 스카이라인으로 선택된 데이터들은 지배된 데이터들을 대표하게 된다. 이러한 특징은 금융, 네트워크, 웹서비스 등 다양한 분야에서 스카이라인의 활용을 이끌어냈다. 하지만 스카이라인 질의는 데이터의 양이나 차원의 수가 증가하는 경우 전체적인 성능이 크게 감소하는 문제를 야기하기 때문에 이를 해결하기 위한 다양한 기법들이 연구 및 제안되고 있다. 하지만 실제 스카이라인 질의를 활용하기 위해서는 객관적 성능 평가를 통해 주어진 상황에서 최적의 성능을 보일 수 있는 기법을 선택해야할 필요가 있지만 기존의 연구들은 성능 평가에 있어 각 기법이 목표한 문제들에 대한 단편적인 실험을 진행하고 있기 때문에 이들을 객관적으로 평가하기 위해서는 새로운 스카이라인 성능 평가 방법이 필요한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기에 앞서 스카이라인 질의 기법의 객관적 성능 평가를 위한 품질 요소 선택 기준을 선택하기 위해 기존 연구들에 대한 조사와 분석을 진행한다.

우리나라에서 시장지배적 지위 남용금지제도는 그 시행기간에 비추어 보면 아직도 초보적 단계라고 할 것이다. 따라서 완성된 제도로서 규제제도를 이해하기보다는 개선되어가는 제도로서 이를 이해할 필요가 있다. 또한 본고에서는 구체적으로 규제제도의 시행 실적을 검토하고 그 오류들을 지적함으로써 향후의 개선방향에 대한 토대를 마련하고자 한다. 그 개선방향은 기본적으로 효율적인 규제제도를 시행하기 위하여 되도록 일관된 법체계를 제정$\cdot$시행하자는 것으로 요약될 수 있을 것이다. 즉, 경제행위에 대한 규제자체가 사회적 비용인 이상(즉 무료의 규제는 없다) 최소한의 비용으로 최대의 효과를 얻을 수 있는 효율적인 규제제도의 정비 및 시행이 사회적으로 바람직한 것임은 더 말할 나위도 없을 것이기 때문이다.

Looking into the top-five innovative sectors in Korea's manufacturing and service industries, this study empirically analyzes the effect of innovation performance on R&D investment, which is one of the most important strategic decisions for corporate management. In the midst of an uncertain business environment, R&D investment has been regarded as the most important strategic decision making in corporate management related to innovation. Corporate management, however, tend to be reluctant to make sufficient R&D investment due to the risk of an investment failure. Therefore, having R&D investment by offsetting this risk has been deemed as a key task for corporate management. However, prior studies have failed to identify which factors affect companies' strategic decision making on R&D investment. This study is to remedy this weakness of prior study. Relying on path dependency theory at organization-level and dominant logic at individual-level, this study empirically examines the multiple regression model, which sees entrepreneurial orientation as a positive mediator between innovation performance and R&D investment. The results found in the analysis of 242 local companies in the manufacturing and service sectors represent that innovation performance has a direct and positive effect on R&D investment, while it indirectly affects R&D investment through the mediating roles of entrepreneurial orientation. They also revealed that innovation performance had a meaningful impact on entrepreneurial orientation, which is an inclination to seek innovation, led to R&D investment. The founding of this study imply that innovation performance in the past affects innovation strategies in the future, and such a relationship could be strengthened by entrepreneurial orientation as the dominant logic of corporate management.

We test the effect of corporate cash holdings on firm value by using the KOSPI listed firms over the period between 2002 and 2007 from the agency theories perspective, which has not been the central interest of prior studies. Unlike existing studies, using the manager's ownership ratio or foreign investor's shareholder ratio as a proxy variable for agency costs, we use the individual firm's corporate governance scores by the KCGS to test the effect of agency costs on the value of firm's cash holdings. We find that a firm value is positively related with its cash holdings. We also find that a firm with good corporate governance tends to experience a higher value of its cash holdings, compared with a firm with bad corporate governance. These results are consistent even after controlling for the endogeneity problems between corporate governance and firm value, strongly supporting the agency theory of cash holdings. Therefore, a firm's cash holdings, even from liquidity or precautionary motives, could increase the firm cash value, as long as its managers' interest is shareholders' wealth maximization rather than their private benefits.

최근 국내에서는 후발사업자에 의해 시내전화 사업자가전선택제가 유선전화 시장개방 수단으로 제기되고 있다. 일본의 경우 2001년 5월부터 시내전화, 장거리전화, 국제전화 부분에서 사업자사전선택제를 도입하여 시행하고 있다. 이 제도의 도입으로 지배적 사업자인 동서 NTT의 시장 지배력은 약화되어 갔다. 뿐만 아니라 지나친 요금경쟁과 과대한 판매촉진 비용으로 신규기업들도 경상이익이 적자로 전화되었다.
