A Study on Efficient Storage Method for High Density Raster Data (고밀도 격자자료의 효율적 저장기법 연구)

  • A study for 3D-reconstruction and providing the geospatial information is in progress to many fields recently. For efficient providing the geospatial information, the present information has to be updated and be revised and then the latest geospatial information needs to be acquired economically. Especially, LiDAR system utilized in many study has a advantage to collect the 3D spacial data easily and densely that is possible to supply to the geospatial information. The 3D data of LiDAR is very suitable as a data for presenting 3D space, but in case of using the data without converting, the high performance processor is needed for presenting 2D forms from point data composed by 3D data. In comparison, basically the raster data structure of 2D form is more efficient than vector structure in cheap devices because of a simple structure and process speed. The purpose of this study, in case of supplying LiDAR data as 3D data, present the method that reconstructs to 2D raster data and convert to compression data applied by th tree construction in detail.

  • 교통주제도는 건설교통부와 한국교통연구원이 ${\ulcorner}$국가교통DB구축사업${\lrcorner}$의 일환으로 제작한 것으로, 국토지리정보원의 NGIS 수치지도(축척 1:5,000)를 기반으로 하여 현장조사 및 문헌조사를 통해 갱신, 보완하여 교통 분야의 활용에 적합하도록 구축한 GIS 수치지도이다. 교통주제도는 현장조사와 문헌조사를 통해 수집된 자료를 기반으로 구축되며 이중 교통시설물조사는 문헌자료(준공도로현황 등)를 참고하여 산정된 조사대상에 대하여 GPS 조사시스템을 활용, 도형 및 속성정보를 취득하는 것을 말한다. 조사항목은 도형정보(노드, 링크) 및 속성정보(차선수, 도로번호 등)이며 GPS 조사시스템과 조사원장(도면)을 이용하여 조사한다. 교통시설물조사와 문헌자료조사를 통해 수집된 자료는 단위도엽(1:5,000기준)별로 교통주제도에 반영되며 최종적으로 전국단위의 통합자료로 구축된다 교통주제도는 사용목적과 축척기준에 따라 단순화되며 이를 교통주제도 레벨이라 한다. 교통주제도의 레벨은 총 4단계로 구분되며 현재 레벨2에서 레벨4까지 구축되고 있다. 교통분석용 네트워크는 교통시설투자계획, 수요분석, 타당성 평가와 같은 교통분야의 연구를 수행하기 위해 반드시 필요한 자료이다. 교통분석용 네트워크는 교통주제도보다 더 단순화된 도로망 모델로서 구성요소는 노드(시점, 종점, 죤 센트로이드)와 링크(도로망, 센트로이드 커넥터)이며 도로의 기하구조보다는 논리적 구조(방향성, 노드/링크 연결성 등)에 중점을 둔 데이터이다 교통분석용 네트워크는 교통주제도의 도형과 속성정보를 기반으로 하며 각종 통계자료(도로교통량통계연보 등)를 활용, 구축된다. 교통분석용 네트워크는 구축시점에 따라 현재 및 장래 네트워크로 구분되며 장래 네트워크는 기준년도부터 2031년까지 5년 단위로 계획된 장래도로를 반영하여 구축된다. 교통주제도 및 교통분석용 네트워크는 국가교통DB구축사업을 통해 구축된 자료로서 교통체계효율화법 제9조의4에 따라 공공기관이 교통정책 및 계획수립 등에 활용할 수 있도록 제공하고 있다. 건설교통부의 승인절차를 거쳐 제공하며 활용 후에는 갱신자료 및 활용결과를 통보하는 과정을 거치도록 되어있다. 교통주제도는 국가의 교통정책결정과 관련분야의 기초자료로서 다양하게 활용되고 있으며, 특히 ITS 노드/링크 기본지도로 활용되는 등 교통 분야의 중요한 지리정보로서 구축되고 있다.

  • A river space means the river related environments such as rIver and floodplain. Because river space data include two-dimensional and three¬dimensional characters. geographic informat ion system is an effect ive tool to manage the data. The objective of this study is to construct the pilot system called RSDB '93 and to simulate the system in practical aspects. The local area for the study was limited about 12km from Jamsil cheolgyo to Dongjak daegyo of the Han River. PC ARC/INFO was selected which can be used on PC 386DX. The Graphic data in an establ ished database contain river layer. floodplain layer. road layer. profile site and hydraulic structure site8 layer. Attributes include water prof i Ie. ut i I i ty status. ecological data. landmark data. hyd¬rology data. water quality data. aerial photo and other photos. RSDB '93 is a system presenting the potentials for the effective river space management which can be applied to all the domestic rivers.

Development of an Integrated DataBase System of Marine Geological and Geophysical Data Around the Korean Peninsula (한반도 해역 해양지질 및 지구물리 자료 통합 DB시스템 개발)

  • An integrated database(DB) system was developed to manage the marine geological data and geophysical data acquired from around the Korean peninsula from 2009 to 2013. Geological data such as size analysis data, columnar section images, X-ray images, heavy metal data, and organic carbon data of sediment samples, were collected in the form of text files, excel files, PDF files and image files. Geophysical data such as seismic data, magnetic data, and gravity data were gathered in the form of SEG-Y binary files, image files and text files. We collected scientific data from research projects funded by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, data produced by domestic marine organizations, and public data provided by foreign organizations. All the collected data were validated manually and stored in the archive DB according to data processing procedures. A geographic information system was developed to manage the spatial information and provide data effectively using the map interface. Geographic information system(GIS) software was used to import the position data from text files, manipulate spatial data, and produce shape files. A GIS DB was set up using the Oracle database system and ArcGIS spatial data engine. A client/server GIS application was developed to support data search, data provision, and visualization of scientific data. It provided complex search functions and on-the-fly visualization using ChartFX and specially developed programs. The system is currently being maintained and newly collected data is added to the DB system every year.

The Research on the Management Plan of Geological Heritage in Korea using GIS (지리정보를 활용한 한국의 지질유산 정보화 구축 및 관리방안 제시)

  • To provide effective management policy of geo-heritages, concept of Korean geo-heritage has been organized based on geo-diversity, geo-conservation, geo-tourism, and earth-heritage. In addition, current status of geo-heritage in Korea has been grasped, and categorized. In case GPS (Global Positioning System) coordinates exist, spatial information was constructed as GIS (Geographic Information System). Geo-heritages were classified into a total of six categories of natural monument, scenic site, coastal sand-dune, natural cave, world nature heritage, and other types of geo-heritage. By mapping 991 geo-heritages scattered nationwide using geographical information, all statuses can now be readily identified and enable the analysis of the distribution tendencies and correlation with topography. This study was aimed at searching the political connection based on quantitatively organized and analyzed geo-heritages, which have not been mapped thus far. In addition, this study organized data that have existed only in literature, and presented example verification. Moreover, these can be used as guidelines for the future search, discovery, registration and management of geo-heritage. If additional geo-heritages are discovered in field studies or with satellite images, then more correlations may be identified and help facilitate the research on geo-heritages management plans.

A Study on Data Dictionary of Small Scale Digital Map (소축척 수치지도 자료사전에 관한 연구)

  • National Geography Institute(NGI, National mapping agency) has been producing national basemap in automated process since middle of 1980's toward the systematic and efficient management of national land. In 1995, Korean government initiated a full-scale implementation of the National Geographic Information System(NGIS) Development Plan. Under the NGIS Development Plan, NGI began to produce digital maps in the scales of 1:1,000, 1:5,000, 1:25,000. However, digital maps of 1:250,000 scale, which are currently used for national land planning, were not included in NCIS Development Plan. Also, the existing laws and specifications related to digital maps of 1:250,000 scale are not clearly defined. It is fully appreciated that data dictionary will be a key element for users and generators of digital maps to rectify the existing problems in digital maps as well as to maximize the application of digital maps. There(ore this study proposed a feature classification system, which defines features that should be represented in digital map of 1:250,000 scale, and data dictionary as well.

  • A horticultural field database system is constructed for the intelligent farm management using GIS. The database system include both spatial and attribute data of the GIS that can be used as useful information for the farmers every year. The result of the research is summarized as follow; First, the system provides the position, attributes and spatial data of the horticultural farm through AML. Second, the user interface that composed of a basic function menu and application menu is easy to use. Third, the method which applicated overlay and analysis would be need to manage farming data in this horticultural farm and to develop a dynamic decision support system interfaced with GIS.

  • One of the criteria provided by the law to spatially determine the zones to levy the so-called development impact fee requires that the increase rate of the development permit should exceed that of the entire locality by more than 20 percent. Since the permits are issued to scattered parcels, however, it renders significant difficulties in accurately figuring out the finite local areas that exceed such legal criteria. This study, in this context, tries to join the development permit time-series data with the Korea Land Information System (KLIS) so that, with the aid of the landform layer and existing infrastructure layer, it could pinpoint the local area where the development activities are concentrating. Taking a sector in Yangpyong County as the case, the study demonstrates the methods to designate the zone by processing the permit information data.
