This research is a study designed to identify the needs for information literacy instruction for the U.S. public library Internet service users. The levels and needs of Internet service users as well as the development and effectiveness of the Internet services at the U.S. public libraries were investigated. The survey was administered to the Internet service users at four public libraries in the upper Midwest region of the U.S.A total of 386 surveys were collected and analyzed. The result showed that as the years of Internet use experience and the level of expertise increases, user satisfaction decreases. However, the users who had taken any Internet class showed more satisfaction than who had not. This research offers a new direction and need for information literacy instruction for public library Internet service users.

4290년4월에 우리나라 도유의 대학과정으로서의 도서관학부가 연세대학교에 설치되어 한국도서관학의 개발에 중견적인 일꾼이 될수있는 학사들을 양성하고 있다. 아직도 도서관에 대한 인식이 희박한 우리나라 실정에서 학생들은 진지한 연구을 하고있다. 아래에 학생들은 무엇을 어떻게 연구하고 있는지 소개하는 바이다.

Much of the current literature on reading instruction supports the idea of teaching students a series of reading strategies instead of isolated reading skills. Reading strategies are plans or methods that can be used or taught to facilitate reading proficiency. In the meantime, the reading instruction program of school library is the reading promotion event has been limited. Therefore, the reading instruction program of school library need to focus reading strategies oriented instruction rather than reading skill. This Study categorizes Reading Strategies that divided into text type, text structure, reading process, cognitive strategies.

본 연구의 목적은 중국 연변조선족자치구에 현존하는 각종 유형의 도서관문헌 정보사업 현황과 문제점을 밝히는데 있다. 본 연구의 의의는 공개된 자료가 미미하고 정형화된 자료가 부족한 상황에서 실태조사를 병행하여 상세한 정보를 제공한 점이다. 도서관의 현대화작업은 90 년대 후반기부터 컴퓨터를 도입하여 전개되기 시작하였고, 연변과학기술대학도서관의 경우는 현대화된 시설을 갖추고 한국의 선진 도서관리 방법을 도입하여 도서관을 운영하고 있으나, 기타 도서관들은 부분적으로 전자 연람실을 구축하여 서비스하고 있다. 그러나 현재 조선족자치주 대부분의 도서관들은 자금부족으로 현대화된 도서관을 구축하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 앞으로 지도층에서의 중점사업으로의 추진과 서부대개발사업의 우대정책을 통해 자금 확보를 도모하여 도서관의 현대화 건설의 추진을 기해야 할 것이다.
