A Proposal of Heuristic Using Zigzag Steiner Point Locating Strategy for GOSST Problem (GOSST 문제 해결을 위한 지그재그 스타이너 포인트 배치 방법을 이용한 휴리스틱의 제안)

  • We propose more enhanced heuristic for the GOSST(Grade of Services Steiner Minimum Tree) problem in this paper. GOSST problem is a variation of Steiner Tree problem and to find a network topology satisfying the G-Condition with minimum network construction cost. GOSST problem is known as one of NP-Hard or NP-Complete problems. In previous our research, we proposed a heuristic employing Direct Steiner Point Locating strategy with Distance Preferring MST building strategy. In this paper, we propose new Steiner point locating strategy, Zigzag Steiner point Locating strategy. Through the results of out experiments, we can assert this strategy is better than our previous works. The Distance Zigzag GOSST method which hires the Distance Preferring MST building strategy and Zigzag Steiner point Locating strategy defrays the least network construction cost and brings 31.5% cost saving by comparison to G-MST, the experimental control and 2.2% enhancement by comparison to the Distance Direct GOSST method, the best GOSST method in our previous research.

Characteristics of Settlement and Scour of Square-Shaped Hybrid Reef according to Placement Types (배치 형태에 따른 사각형 복합 인공어초의 침하 및 세굴 특성)

  • This study carried out several laboratory tests such as water tank settlement test and two-dimensional water flow test to investigate settlement and scour characteristics of a square-shaped hybrid reef which was reinforced with geogrid. In addition, numerical analysis was also performed to find out scour characteristics of the square-shaped hybrid reef with different placement types (type A; straight placement type, type B; zigzag placement type). Laboratory test results indicated that settlement and scouring depth significantly reduced in hybrid reefs reinforced with geogrid, compared with those without reinforcement. Two-dimentional water flow tests and numerical test results also showed that scouring depth and flow velocity of placement type A more decreased than those of type B.

  • 대학구내 공원시설은 학생들과 시민들의 다양하고 안전하게 사용할 수 있도록 여러 시설을 갖추고 있어야 하며 야간에도 활용 가능케 조명시설을 갖추고 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 소공원내의 산책로에서는 볼라드 타입 메탈할라이드 50[W]를 지그재그 배열로 배치하였고, 운동기구에서는 안전성 확보를 위하여 메탈할라이드 400[W]를 7개를 설치하여 조명 계획을 검토하고 설계하였다. 산책로와 운동시설에 대한 시뮬레이션 결과를 활용하여 안정적인 조명모델을 제시 하였다.

A Study on the Effect of Magnetic Field in Electrostatic Precipitator for Improving Precipitation Efficiency of Particulate Matter (미세먼지의 집진효율 향상을 위한 전기집진기의 자계인가특성에 대한 연구)

  • This paper gives the experimental results for the effective precipitation of particulated matter(PM) below 1[${\mu}m$] of diameter using the electrostatic precipitator, which is designed by ourselves. In order to improve the precipitation efficiency, the vertical and parallel magnetic field to the electric field is applied simultaneously by arranging ferrite magnets. When the parallel magnetic field is applied, the precipitation efficiency does not improve in comparison with non-magnets. However, when the vertical magnetic field is applied, it is improved about 5[%] more than the case of non-magnetized ferrite plate used. In addition, when the magnets are installed at the center of ground plate electrodes, the precipitation efficiency is ranged from 17 to 32[%] under the applied voltage of 5[kV]. It is similar to the case of the magnet arrangement at the front part of ground electrode. Also, the precipitation efficiency is more improved by arranging magnets as the inside part and zigzag on the electrodes. Especially, large particles of 0.7 and 1[${\mu}m$] is more easily captured by electrostatic precipitator. Consequently, it is convinced that the vertical magnetic field is more desirable than parallel magnetic field on the electric field for the effective treatment of particulated matter.

Strength and Stress Distribution Behavior for the Connections of Corrugated Steel Plates (파형강판 이음부의 강도 및 응력분포특성에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents the numerical results in strength and stress distribution behavior for the connections of corrugated steel plates (CSP). The results obtained using the finite element method indicate that the CSP with =30mm of longitudinal edge lap, by the current standard specification, has very conservative values. The results also indicate the difference of strength behavior from the bolt arrangement. The strength behavior of standard corrugated type with staggered holes is only affected by circumferential edge lap, but the edge lap and bolthole spacing have an effect on the strength behavior for the deeply corrugated type with parallel holes. Based on these results, this paper examines the current specification of the connections for CSP.

  • The aim of this study is to find out the water spray features of in-rack sprinklers for rack storage. This study conducted cold water flow test, measurement of spray angle and densities by angles for sprinkler head manufactured by a Korean company and a U.S. company. Korean sprinkler head had a wide angle of water spary. The water spray angle of a U.S. sprinkler head was narrow compared to the Korean sprinkler. In comparison of the Korean head with U.S. head of the same K80, the Korean head can send water to parts that are difficult to directly spray, but the spraying density by angle was low. U.S. head can send more water than Korean head at a narrow angle. In conclusion, for flammable materials placed in two or more rows in a rack storage, a zigzag arrangement with face sprinklers will be effective.

Sound Blocking Using Acoustic Metamaterial Scaling (음향메타물질 단위격자 축소를 통한 소리 차단)

  • In this study, we use 1:1, 1:2, and 1:4 scale zig-zag shape acoustic metamaterial structure to achieve broad and effective sound blocking at the subwavelength scale. The SPL(Sound Pressure Level) results show that the SPL loss of the scaled metamaterial slab in series is a superposition of individual SPL losses. Also, we show that the metamaterial tailors the material properties to achieve high impedance and high refractive index using effective medium theory. Our results show that broad and effective sound blocking is possible at the subwavelength scale just by scaling acoustic metamaterial.

Design for the Circularly Polarized Microstrip Cross Dipole Array Antenna by Electromagnetic Coupled Technique (전자기 결합기법을 이용한 원편파 마이크로스트립 크로스 다이폴 어레이 안테나의 설계)

  • This paper describes a design for the circularly polarized microstrip EMC cross dipole array antenna with the wide bandwidth. To realize the characteristics of wide bandwidth and circular polarization, the electromagnetic-coupled cross dipole element is proposed. The optimum design parameters of a circularly polarized EMC cross dipole element are calculated by the FDTD and the Ensemble. To obtain the uniform aperture illumination of electric field in an array, offset technique that the cross dipole elements are alternatively arranged on center of the microstrip feed line is adopted. In 20-element array design, the calculated axial ratio and gain are about 0.1dB and 9.9 dBi at 12 GHz, respectively, The frequency characteristics of a fabricated 20-element array antenna are measured. The calculated results agree well with the measured ones.

Study on the Effect of Bolt and Sub-bench on the Stabilization of Tunnel Face through FEM Analysis (FEM해석에 의한 막장볼트 및 보조벤치의 막장안정성 효과에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, review was made for the excavation method and optimum bench length for unstable tunnel face in case of rock classification type V in order to make the best use of in-situ bearing capacity. 3D FEM analyses were performed to investigate the influences on the tunnel face and adjacent area with regard to the pattern and number of bolts when face bolts were used as a supplementary measure. As a result of this study, full section excavation method with sub-bench is effective in reducing the displacement greatly due to early section closure. Displacement-resistant effects in accordance with the bolting patterns are grid type, zig-zag type and then circular type in order of their effect. And horizontal extrusion displacement of tunnel face reduces as the number of bolts increase. A grid type face bolt covering $1.5m^2$ of tunnel face could secure the face stability in case of full section excavation method with sub-bench.

  • 자연하천에서 식생의 성장은 유속 및 수위 변화에 중요한 영향을 미치며, 따라서 식생으로 인한 흐름저항은 흐름과 유사이송 모델링을 위한 중요 매개 변수가 된다. 즉, 수치 모델을 활용함에 있어 식생의 흐름 저항을 정확하게 추정하는 것이 매우 중요하며, 보다 정확한 추정을 위해 실험 혹은 현장 데이터를 활용한 보정과정이 필수적으로 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 식생 패치를 포함한 인공 수로의 흐름 모의를 위해 실규모 실험 수로에서 측정된 유속 및 수위 데이터를 활용하여 모델보정을 수행하고자 한다. 이를 위해 공간 분포 별로 각기 다른 흐름 저항식의 적용이 가능하며, 식생 저항 공식을 포함하고 있는 Delft3D 모델을 활용하였다. 또한 실규모 수로에서의 유속 및 수위 데이터 수집을 위해 한국건설기술연구원 하천연구센터에서 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 구간의 길이는 약 120 m이고 하폭은 11 m이며, 국내 하천에서 보이는 식생패치의 유사한 형태를 재현하기 위해 하천 내 가장 많이 활착되어있는 버드나무와 유사한 형태의 인공식생을 제작하였다. 인공 식생은 지그재그로 배치되었으며, 식생의 전체 높이는 1.1 m이고, 각 패치 당 23그루의 인공 식생이 총 8개 패치에 식재되었다. 모의 조건은 상류단 유입 유량 2.805 ㎥/s, 하류단수위 98.764 m의 정류 조건을 적용하였다. 또한 식생 패치 구간에서의 흐름 저항 추정을 위해 Delft3D 모델 내에서 선택가능 한 Baptist의 비침수(Non-submerged)식을 적용하였으며, 항력계수 결정을 위해 1과 1.5를 적용하여 측정 수위와 비교하였다. Delft3D의 흐름 모의 결과, 항력계수 1.5를 적용했을 때, 측정 수위와 거의 일치하는 것으로 나타났으며, 항력계수 1.0을 적용했을 경우, 측정 수위에 비해 다소 낮게 모의되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 항력계수 1.5인 경우 식생 패치 구간에서 평균 0.65 m/s의 유속이 발생하였다.
