  • With advancements in digital image production technology, the branch of stereoscopic image technology has also been undergoing active development. Accordingly, research and development on cutting-edge display products for mounting stereoscopic images are currently being pursued. There are various problems that can occur when viewing 3D images. Because viewers feel visual fatigue while perceiving the depth of the images provided via an artificial method, a negative human factor such as visual fatigue has become one of the most prominent concerns, especially as it is a factor that affects the ongoing maintenance of 3D images. Therefore, by identifying the factors affecting the depth of the graphic images provided in 2D images, and subsequently using this information to develop an image processing method, we conducted depth-related experiments and analysed them under the assumption that stereoscopic images could be reproduced without visual fatigue. Thus, we analysed the most significant factors related to depth and verified the interactions by performing depth-related factors-based ANOVA variance analysis by differentially applying the texture, colour temperature, and contrast ratio to graphic images. We determined the significance of the factors related to depth and proposed a method to improve depth based on an analysis of the results of the experiments conducted in this study.

  • This study investigated many factors which had to be considered importantly in space planning for the cultural contents exhibition hall on the basis of establishment cases at this time that cultural contents were considered very importantly in the national economy. It must be a priority to set up the concept of the exhibition space which can encompass exhibition spaces, exhibits, the approach to experience exhibitions and others for the effective planning for exhibition spaces showing cultural contents. Visitors' moving lines should be planned based on that concept setting. It is necessary to reflect human attributes that people detect environmental information and perceive the environment through their sensory organs and plan moving lines considering visitors' cognitive, emotional and psychological factors which they can feel according to the temporal order. In addition, this study led visitors to respond exhibits through their five senses and increased the effects that visitors appreciated exhibition spaces, actively getting out of the way that visitors experienced exhibitions, which might be limited to sight. This study will be able to provide specific space planning methods related to the establishment of cultural industry-based professional exhibition halls which have been increased day by day at this time that culture-based industries are considered to be important. Moreover, it will be helpful in reducing the trial and effort factor in the exhibition hall establishment project.

  • Although there ate many studies on cross-cultural comparison of advertising appeals, very little is known about how receivers from different cultures process visual images in global advertising. The purpose of this study is to examine how cultural differences between East Asians and Westerners influence the cognitive process of visual images from standardized global advertising by employing the Nisbett's framework of holistic/analytic thought. Nisbett contends that East Asian tend to attend to the context and the relations between objects and contexts as holistic thinkers while Americans tend to see the worlds analytically. The results of a experimental study conducted using 80 subjects from Korea and the United States suggest that Korean participants are more likely to mention relatively peripheral, nonsalient, or background information than are American participants. Thus, this study support the Nisbett's notion that East Asians are more sensitive to contextual information than are Westerners and challenge the belief that standardized visual images are part of a "universal language".

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors that impact customer satisfaction and loyalty in mobile payment services. Specifically, this research (1) studies the influence of company reputation on customer satisfaction and loyalty, (2) examines service quality dimensions that increase customer satisfaction, and (3) assesses switching barriers as moderators in influencing customer loyalty. Findings of this empirical research reconfirm the point of view that company reputation, service quality, and switching barriers are crucial for customer satisfaction in mobile payment services. The research methodologies that were used to verify the hypothesis in this study included customized surveys and structural equation modeling. The results demonstrated that company reputation significantly affects customer satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, the results indicated that only two of the five total service qualities, ease of use and the security/privacy qualities, have positive influences on customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction has also proven to be a significant influence on loyalty. Lastly, the results showed that among the factors of switching barriers, the factors of lost performance costs, sunk costs, setup costs, the attractiveness of alternatives, and service recovery have moderating effects on the relationships between customer satisfaction and loyalty. Base on the results, this research recommends that firms aim at devising integrated strategies that make switching barriers act as complements to customer satisfaction.

The "Nature" Concept as an Underlying Base of Phenomenology : With a focus on comparison between Schelling and Merleau-Ponty (현상학의 근원적 토대로서 '자연' 개념 : 셸링과 메를로-퐁티의 비교 관점에서)

  • In his Phenomenology of Perception, Merleau-Ponty raises a question of why he has to ask what phenomenology is again. This study assumes that the question can be answered in a new understanding of the "nature" concept and finds its possible grounds in the nature concepts of Schelling and Merleau-Ponty. Schelling and Merleau-Ponty develop philosophical thinking from a critical point of view on the Cartesian and Kantian philosophies "Thing-in-itself" by Kant is, in particular, one of important questions that has to be answered in the philosophy of Schelling since Kant further solidifies a dualistic world by leaving thing-in-itself. Schelling solves the question with the concept of identity and Merleau-Ponty solves the question with body-subject. What we notice in this article is the understanding of Shelling and Merleau-Ponty about nature. Schelling believes there are the creative activities of unconscious intelligence in nature, but spirit or intelligence in his nature concept cannot induce an existential being. Here we see that Schelling is still beyond the traditional epistemological framework. To restore the original nature of nature, we must begin with an understanding of the totality of nature. Nature must also be explained through relationships with humans. Merleau-Ponty shows the entanglement of nature and spirit through the body-subject. In Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology, the body is the equivalent of nature. Understanding the forces of nature that Schelling and Merleau-Ponty are trying to show, and at the same time explaining the problem of how the mind or human beings emerge from nature, we will be able to discover the true nature of nature.

  • In this paper, the purpose is to verify the impact of performance expectations, effort expectations, social impact, individual innovation and perceived value on the intent of use and the behavior of use. Used Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) to verify the applicability of this model in China, and established the research model by adding two new variables to UTAUT according to the situation of the Chinese market. To achieve this goal, 345 questionnaires were collected for experienced music creators using artificial intelligence nuggets in China by means of Internet research. The collected data were analyzed through frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and structural equation analysis through SPSS V. 22.0 and AMOS V 22.0. The verification of the hypotheses presented in the research model identified the decisive influence factors on the use of artificial intelligence music acceptance by Chinese users. The study is innovative in that it attempts to verify the applicability of UTAUT in the Chinese context. In the construction of the user acceptance model of AI music, three influencing factors will have an effect on users' intentions, and according to the degree of effect, from largest to smallest, they are respectively Perceived Innovativeness, Performance Expectancy and Effort Expectancy. This paper will also provide some management advices, i.e. improving the utility and usability of AI music, encouraging users with individual innovativeness, developing competitive and attractive pricing policies, increasing publicity, and prioritizing word-of-mouth advertising.

  • In the contemporary American cinematic landscape, there is a distinctive tendency to depict the disturbing ways in which characters with brain damages perceive, remember, and think about the world. Despite its attempts to examine the socio-political implications of these characters' subjectivities, the previous scholarship on this trend of film was limited in being either too pessimistically deterministic or too euphorically optimistic. Critically reading neuroscientific discourses on the brain-damaged subject from the perspective of Giorgio Agamben's critique of biopolitics, this paper explores how the contemporary American cinema of the impaired brain attempts to mediate the neurologically inexplicable affects of those subjects who are in the neurological state of exception and to express their experiences of a becoming-nonhuman. By closely reading Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan and Alejandro $Gonz{\acute{a}}lez$ $I{\tilde{n}}{\acute{a}}rritu^{\prime}s$ Birdman in this regard, I show how the two films, by employing different sets of cinematic free indirect techniques, express the neurologically impaired subject's affective experience of a becoming-nonhuman animal in different ways, and thereby to a more or less extent act as 'profaned' neuro-biopolitical apparatuses.

  • In 1999, the French semiotician Jacques Fontanille published his work on discourse semiotics as an attempt to overcome the limitations of structuralism. Discourse semiotics has expanded the realm of semiotics by taking a phenomenological approach that examines the structure of consciousness. Phenomenology pays special attention to the operation of human consciousness, which, instead of staying put, moves from one place to another-unbeknownst to its agent. This paper examines "Bulls" through a phenomenological approach as the short story depicts the stream of consciousness that unfolds within the inner world of Pau, the young male protagonist. The rhetorical approach to literary analysis works at the level of the speech act and directly relates to speech act theory. In rhetorics, figures and tropes are dominated by speech acts. Whereas conventional rhetorical analysis lacks a kinetic perspective as it revolves around flat semantic inspections, the discourse semiotics approach applied in this paper allows for an indepth multidimensional analysis where the analyses of ${\acute{e}}nonc{\acute{e}}$ and ${\acute{e}}nonciation$ complement each other. Presenting a peasant movement to the reader through the eyes of the young male protagonist Pau, "Bulls" is considered a significant literary feat in the history of Korea's New Literature as the work is highly regarded for its impressive depiction of a communal movement. This paper reinterprets and reevaluates the story under a new light, mainly through a rhetorical approach and a phenomenological approach that hinges on discourse semiotics.

  • Recent changes in corporate environment, both internal and external, have led to permanent restructuring, which has left baby boomers facing a serious threat to their jobs due to an unprepared involuntary retirement. In line with this period of time, resilience has become important in terms of overcoming the psychological hardships of retirement. In response, the study conducted a study on the effect of resilience on career path conversion among involuntary retirees of baby boomers. The effect on career conversion on the personal characteristics of baby-boomer retirees has been verified by significant differences in gender and job type. In addition, the results of verification of the effect of recovery elasticity on career path transition confirmed that recovery elasticity has a very significant effect on career path transition, and the positive effect of the positive factors among the lower factors was verified to have a very significant positive effect on situational perception, coping method and support, and it was confirmed that interpersonal ability also has an effect on positive effect. However, the ability to self-control did not have a significant effect. Thus, for baby boomers who have to prepare for career transformation after retirement, the resilience has been proven to be a very necessary ability to overcome their hardships and make successful adaptations, and it is expected that it will be very useful in the course of career transition counseling for baby boomers.
