APPROXIMATE QUEUE LENGTH DISTRIBUTION OF MMPP/D/1 IN AN ATM MULTIPLEXER (ATM 다중화기의 MMPP/D/1 큐잉 모델의 큐길이 분포에 대한 근사방법)

  • Our previously proposed method is further applied to find the queue length distribution of MMPP/D1 in an ATM multiplexer. We derive some useful relationship between the queue distribution seen by arriving cells and for a server befor each service. The relations were used to improve out approximation. For MMPP/D1 the calculated results show a good agreement with those obtained by a simulation of the system. Furthermore, our approximation provides fast numerical algorithms for general traffic models. These advantages demomstrate that our approximation method is useful for a fast and accurate traffic analysis in ATM networks.

Development of alternative titration method without mercuric acetate for the assay of difemerine hydrochloride in Korean Pharmaceutical Codex (디페메린염산염 시험에 사용되는 유해시약인 수은 대체 시험법의 개발)

  • Currently nonaqueous titration method for the assay method using the hazardous reagent, mercury acetate for difemerine hydrochloride has been used in Korean Pharmaceutical Codex. We developed an alternative titration assay method by substituting the use of the hazardous reagent, mercury acetate to the use of less toxic ones like ethyl alcohol. The linearity of the calibration curves in the desired concentration range was good (r>0.999). Precision was less than 0.64%. Accuracy was obtained with recoveries in range of 99.10% and 99.71%. The developed assay could be expected to become valuable tools for revising the Korean Pharmaceutical Codex.

  • The cellular neural networks have the circuit structure that differs from the form of general neural network. It consists of an array of the same cell which is a simple processing element, and each of the cells has local connectivity and space invariant template property. In this paper, time-multiplex image processing technique is applied for processing large images using small size CNN cell block, and we simulate the edge detection of a large image using the simulator implemented with a c program and matlab model. A 5$\times$5 CNN hardware and pre post processor is also implemented and is under test.

  • The pretreatment for COD removal of acrylic wastewater and separation characteristics of ultrafiltration hollow fiber type module and reverse osmosis spiral wound type module with the variation of applied pressure and temperature were discussed. Thc optimum washing time of membranes was decided with long team operation and the degree of fouling was discussed with operating time. Permeate flux was decreased rapidly at 14 hrs and that of reverse osmosis membrane was indicated similarly. CaO find sand filter for the first step, neutralization process with treated acrylic wastewater as the second step, UF/RO processes were used as final strep. It was shown treat COD and TDS were below allowable discharge value with the result.

  • Objectives : In order to understand and apply Lee Jema's emotion control method, the basic concepts of his nature-temperament theory was examined. Lee's thoughts on emotion control, and the basic principles of his method were deduced from this process. Methods : The meaning and set-up of basic concepts in his nature-temperament theory as written in text such as the Donguisusebowon, Gyeokchigo, and Donguisusebowon Sasang Chobongwon were examined, and compared with similar concepts of Confucianism. Results & Conclusions : Out of concepts set by Lee, the Ae(哀)-No(怒)-Hui(喜)-Rak(樂) nature-temperament is the condition for emotion control. Junghwa(中和) is the aim of emotion control according to different stages of emotional expression, and Jiin(知人) is the precondition for emotion control. Lee's basic principles of emotion control could be summarized as following. First, it must be done with the aim for 'Goodness[善]' to be manifested. Second, it must be based on clear understanding of 'Insa(人事)'. Lastly, Hoyeonjigi(浩然之氣) and Hoyeonjiri(浩然之理) must be consistently cultivated for stable emotion control.

The studies on wrinkle recovery improvement for silk fabrics (견직물의 방추성 개선연구)

  • This experiment is to improve the wrinkle recovery (W.R.) of silk fabrics. The silk fabrics is creased very well, and the crease is the serious defection of it. This experiment is to improve the nature by use of formaldehyde on fabrics. The reagents used were HCl, CH$_3$COOH, CaC$_2$, HCHO, Na$_2$CO$_3$, NH$_4$OH, NaOH and NaHCO$_3$. The silk fabrics was treated, to compare 1 he influence of conditions, by varying the quantities of reagents and the temperature of solution, and the reaction time. The cotton fabrics and the viscose rayon were sunk with the silk at the same condition to be compared the influence. 1) Those of the most suitable temperature to improve for the better W.R. are 75$^{\circ}C$ for silk, 35-45$^{\circ}C$ for cotton, and no particular temperature under 75$^{\circ}C$ for viscose rayon. 2) The W.R. improvements after treated at the temperature of 1) were 11% for silk and 33.4% for cotton. 3) There are the best treating time for every fabrics. They were 60 to 90 min. for viscose rayon when HAC Ras used for solvent. It took, however, 60min. of the best time for silk, 120 min. for cotton, and 40 min. for viscose rayon when acetic anhydride instead of HAC was used. 4) It was possible to improve 16.6% of W.R. for silk at the most suitable treating time, 25.0% for cotton, and 13.3% for viscose rayon. 5) Acetic anhydride was rather more effective to improve W.R. of both silk and viscose rayon than HAC. 6) Treating time was also shorter in case of using acetic anhydride than HAC. 7) The improvement of W.R. were 8.3% for silk at the 10 to 14 ml. of HCHO the best volume, 21. 5% for cotton at 18m!. of HCHO, and 70% of for viscose rayon at 14 to 18ml. of HCHO. 8) The most effective quantity of HCI is 14 ml. for both silk and cotton. The W.R. improvement of silk was 22.2%, and that of cotton 19.5%. 9) The W.R. of 83.3% the best for silk and 61. 6% for cotton were gained when 4.2gr. of NaHCO$_3$ brings down the percent of W.R. for both silk and cotton. 10) The more NaOH and NH$_4$OH as neutralizing agents, the less effectivity of W.R. until the quantities of the reagents are reached to a special range which are 3. 3m!. for silk and 3.3-6.6 ml. for cotton, and then we can see the W.R. increasing as the quantities of reagents are increased. These facts were evident in case of silk and cotton. We can also see with this fact that the reminder of 〔OH$\^$-/〕 neutralizing 〔CH$\^$+/〕in solution makes it possible to treat formaldehyde on fabrics. 11) Low curing temperature was comparatively better for silk, and high temperature better for cotton. 12) The result of this experiment shows that the Improvement of W.R. for silk was possible to 94% which means 22% W.R. increase compared to the untreated silk. This effect also shows that the improvement to W '||'&'||' W (wash and wear) of silk will be possible.

  • 본 논문은 N개의 노드로 구성된 파장분할다중화(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) 방식의 Passive Star형 광상호연결망에서 K개의 파장이 사용가능 할 때 패킷 전송 스케쥴링 문제를 다루고 있다. 모든 노드는 파장조율이 가능한 송신기와 특정 파장에 고정된 수신기를 각각 한 개씩 가지고 있으며, 하나의 패킷이 송신기로부터 수신기까지 전송되는 데에 걸리는 시간은 항상 일정하다고 가정한다. 최적의 패킷 전송 스케쥴이란 송신노드 입장에서 임의의 파장에서 다른 파장으로 송신기를 조율하는 데에 따른 지연시간(turning delay)을 고려하여 같은 시간에 최대한 많은 서로 다른 파장을 사용하도록 함과 동시에, 수신노드의 입장에서 수신된 패킷들의 광/전 변환에 따른 지연시간(conversion delay)을 고려하여 패킷의 수신간격을 일정하게 유지함으로써 모든 패킷이 최소시간 내에 전송될 수 있도록 언제 어떤 파장을 사용하여 패킷들을 전송할 것인지 결정하는 것을 말한다. 본 논문에서는 파장조율에 따른 지연시간을 $\delta$로 나타낼 때 모든 노드가 자기 자신을 제외한 다른 모든 노드에 주기적으로 전방송(all-to-all broadcast)을 반복하는 경우에 임의로 주어진 N, K, $\delta$의 값에 대하여 최적의 패킷 전송 스케쥴을 구할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안하고 있다. 또한, N이 K로 나누어 떨어지면 최적의 전방송 주기는 [NK($\delta$+1)/{$N_2$-N-NK+K$^2$+K}](N-1)임을 증명하였다.

  • A 17 year-old high school girl was admitted for anterior chest pain. Pulmonary edema and circulatory collapse progressed in spite of the medical treatment and intra-aortic balloon pump. Left ventricular assist device(LVAD, Bio-Pump, Medtronic Bio-Med, USA) was instituted under the impression of acute fulminant myocarditis. The inlet cannula was inserted in the left atrium(LA) via left submammary anterior thoracotomy. Biopsy was taken from left atrial appendage. The outlet cannula inserted to the left femoral artery using PTFE cuff. After 158 hours of extracorporeal circulation, LVAD was able to be weaned successfully with nearly normalized LV motion on echocardiogram, Coxsakievirus was identified with immunochemistry and serum neutralization test. She was discharged without any heart failure symptoms after 23 days of hopitalization.

  • 전보에서 발표한 바와 같이, 대상 라이너지 제조공장의 습부 운전조건이 지극히 악화되어 있으며 초지 시스템이 지종교체 등의 충격에 전혀 완충작용을 못하는 이유로 는 용수를 포함한 지료의 전하특성을 조절해주지 못하기 때문인 것으로 판단되었다. 특 히 양이온성 고분자로서 유일하게 사용하고 있는 보류향상제가 적절히 작용하지 못하 기 때문에 보류도가 저하되고, 제품내에 보류되지 못한 다량의 미세분이 백수 중에 존 재함으로서 결과적으로 지료의 전기적 특성을 더욱 악화시키는 악순환이 되풀이 되는 것으로 판단되었다. 이와 같이 강하게 음으로 하전된 지료의 전기적 특성을 조절하기 위해서는 양이온성 고분자의 사용량을 증가시키거나 고분자의 전하밀도 또는 분자량을 변화시켜 보는 것이 일반적인 습부첨가제 사용방법이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 대상 습부공정의 조업조건을 호전시키기 위해서는 적절한 보류향상시스 템의 적용이 가장 시급한 현안이라고 판단되어 선규 보류제의 현장적용시험을 수행한 결과, 백수의 COD와 미세분이 격감하고 탈수성이 향상되어 습부공정의 운전조건이 호 전됨을 관측할 수 있었다. 그러나 2달 이상에 걸친 보류제 현장적용시험 기간 중에 생 산된 라이너지의 제반 물성들은 별다른 변화를 관측할 수 없었다. 이는 적용된 보류제 의 상당 부분이 계내의 미세분과 작용하여 소모되기 때문으로 판단되었다. 본 연구에서는 보류제의 투입 이전에 보류제와는 상대적으로 저분자량과 고 전 하밀도를 가진 고분자 전해질 4종을 사용하여 라이너지 지료의 전하를 중화시키고자 하였으며, 이러한 공정으로 생산된 라이너지의 물성변화를 관측하였다. 물성으로는 파 열강도, 압축강도, 습윤인장강도 및 염료 고착능력 등을 살펴보았다.시아노에틸화한 PYA가 안정된 분자구조를 유지하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 시아노에틸화한 PYA용액의 점탄성 평가를 위하여 storage modulus와 loss modulus 를 분석하였다. 일반적 유변특성 평가 결과 PYA용액은 shear-thinning, pseudoplastic 한 특성을 나타내어 표면사이즈 공정에서의 적용 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 사용하는 통계기법 중의 하나인 주성분회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주성분 분석은 여러 개의 반응변수에 대하여 얻어진 다변량 자료의 다차원적인 변 수들을 축소, 요약하는 차원의 단순화와 더불어 서로 상관되어있는 반응변수들 상호간 의 복잡한 구조를 분석하는 기법이다. 본 발표에서는 공정 자료를 활용하여 인공신경망 과 주성분분석을 통해 공정 트러블의 발생에 영향 하는 인자들을 보다 현실적으로 추 정하고, 그 대책을 모색함으로써 이를 최소화할 수 있는 방안을 소개하고자 한다.금 빛 용사 둥과 같은 표면처리를 할 경우임의 소재 표면에 도금 및 용 사에 용이한 재료를 오버레이용접시킨 후 표면처리를 함으로써 보다 고품질의 표면층을 얻기위한 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 국내, 외의 오버레이 용접기술의 적용현황 및 대표적인 적용사례, 오버레이 용접기술 및 용접재료의 개발현황 둥을 중심으로 살펴봄으로서 아직 국내에서는 널리 알려지지 않은 본 기 술의 활용을 넓이고자 한다. within minimum time from beginning of the shutdown.및 12.36%, $101{\sim}200$일의 경우 12.78% 및 12.44%, 201일 이상의 경우 13.17% 및 11.30%로 201일 이상의 유기의 경우에만 대조구와 삭

Persistency of Neutralizing Antibody to Inactivated Mouse Brain Derived Nakayama Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine and Current Observations of Booster Vaccination and Adverse Events (일본뇌염 사백신 중화항체 지속률과 부작용에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose : We need to reconsider booster vaccination schedule of Japanese encephalitis vaccination. To do that we evaluate the long-term immunogenicity and the incidence of adverse events with inactivated mouse brain derived Nakayama Japanese encephalitis vaccine. Methods : We tested neutalizing antibody for 311 elementary school students by plaque reduction neutralizing test(PRNT) at USAMC-AFRIMS(United States Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Science/Department of Virology). We evaluated vaccine related adverse events by spontaneous reporting prospectively among 15,487 vaccinees who were vaccinated at public health center and 2,277 elementary school students who were immunized previously by a questionnaire and school health record. Results : According to the time interval from the last booster injection of 311 children, PRNT antibody titers gradually decreased as the interval increased; 239 mIU/mL, 188 mIU/mL, 134 mIU/mL, 49 mIU/mL each at 6, 18, 30, 42 months after the last booster injection. The seropositivity rates were 98%, 99%, 95.6%, 71.4% each at 6, 18, 30, 42 months after the last booster injection. There were 21(0.13%) cases with systemic reactions among 15,487 vaccinees who had visited the hospital by prospective passive reporting system at public health center. According to the questionnaires and school health records in elementary school students, local induration and pain were 17.4% and 14.8%, respectively. Systemic reactions including fever, vomiting, rash were reported in few cases. Conclusion : Biannual booster vaccination that has been recommended so far should not be necessary. Surveillance for adverse events with inactivated mouse brain derived Nakayama vaccine should be strengthened to better assess the number of cases and reactions associated with immunization.
