  • On July $18^{th}$, 2003, Incheon International Airport Corporation(lIAC) signed the Construction Management Service Contract with KIDS consortium (composed of Kun-Won Eng., ITM Corp, Do-Hwa Eng, Space Croup) for the $2^{nd}$ phase construction protect consists of landfill, $\#3$ runway, remote Concourse, IAT, BHS, cargo terminal, etc scheduled to be finished by the end of 2008. KIDS dispatched qualified engineers to the Construction Management Division of IIAC for providing technical assistance to IIAC members to pursue project goals in tulle. within budget with appropriate quality level to build one of leading hul] airports for the Northeast Asia legion in the $21^{st}$ century. The work scope covers upgrading various project procedures and related computer programs, cost and schedule control, design supervision for building design including support systerns such as HVAC, fire protection, elevators and escalators, boarding bridges, electrical and communication systems, and technical support for IAT/BHS, QA/QC, field test and inspection, start-up and commissioning, etc. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the major activities of the Construction Management Services performing at the IIA project for your reference.

Health services Information Need Difference between Urban and Rural Area in Sooncheon City (순천시 지역적 특성에 따른 보건의료정보 요구도 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the health services information need between urban area and rural area in Sooncheon City. For accomplishing this purpose, we selected 1,060 adults randomly, 744 urban residents and 314 rural residents were surveyed from 1st, December to 31st, December in 1999. Compared the difference between two areas by cross tabulation, and chi-square test were used. The results of this study are as follows: 1. There were statistically difference in sociodemographic characteristics between urban residents and rural residents, such as age, education, job, income, and insurance payment(p<0.001). 2. According to the health utilization behavior, types of health facility, satisfaction of medical cost, and satisfaction of medical results were statistically different between the two areas(p<0.001). Also utilization of the health service center, and accessibility were statistically different between urban and rural areas(p<0.001). 3. Experiencing the health service information, type of health service information, methods of information, effectiveness, and satisfaction were statistically different between the two areas(p<0.001). 4. And experience of using computer, and internet and preference of method of health service information were statistically different between urban and rural areas. Therefore, the construction of health information system should be carefully reviewed by community health service centers and they should consider the different residents information needs, and accessibility and convenience of community residents.

Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma : Clinical Analysis and Prognostic Factors (원발성 중추신경계 임파종의 임상적 특징과 예후인자에 대한 연구)

  • Objective : The incidence of primary CNS lymphoma(PCNSL) has been increasing recently. The purpose of this study is to establish of prognostic factors and treatment options for PCNSL. Methods : Thirty-one PCNSL patients were treated in our institute between 1985 and 1997. All patients were histologically confirmed via stereotactic biopsy or open biopsy. The authors retrospectively analyzed clinical characteristics of PCNSL and prognostic factors, including histological cell types, immunohistological cell types and treatment options of PCNSL. Our data were statistically analyzed using Kaplan Meier survival curve and multivariated ANOVA test. Results : The clinical and radiological characteristics of PCNSL were resembled to those of other reports. The most common histological subtype was diffuse large cell type(55.5%). In immunohistolgical study, the incidence of T-cell lymphoma(35.7%) was very higher than that of others. The radiotherapy could prolonged patients' survival(p=0.021). One-year and 3-year survival rate of PCNSL were 66.9% and 45.9%, respectively. One-year survival rate of B cell and T cell lymphoma were 72.7% and 50.0%, respectively. The patients with B-cell lymphoma showed better prognosis than patients with T-cell lymphoma(p=0.049). Conclusion : On the basis of our data, active radiotherapy could prolong patients' survival. the T-cell lymphoma revealed higher incidence than those of other reports and had poor prognosis than that of B cell lymphoma.

  • The telecommunication industry, which has traditionally formed its own market area, has also been affected by the after shock of the digitalization triggered by computer communications. In the telecommunications industry, digitalization or digital services refers to network functional virtualization supported by software defined networks. The digitalization of the telecom industry is changing rapidly, and the participants are not limited to the traditional equipment suppliers and service providers in established market, but includes virtually all social entities. To understand this new change, focusing on whether the traditional equipment suppliers that have traditionally played a pivotal role in the center of change will continue its role in this new era of digitalization or not, and how they are progressing toward end-to-end digital services, the goal of digitalization, will lead us to the good understanding of ongoing digitalization.

  • 본 실험은 pseudorabies 바이러스 (PRV) 의 Bartha strain 을 안면신경의 측두지, 하지를 지배하는 신경 (좌골신경) 및 상지를 지배하는 신경 (요골, 척골, 정중신경) 에 주입한 후 4 일간의 생존시간이 경과한 후 척수와 뇌를 적출하여 동결절편을 제작한 후 면역조직화학적 염색기법과 X-gal 조직화학 염색법을 시행하여 염색된 신경세포체를 척수와 뇌에 투사된 공통영역을 관찰하고 두침의 영역중 하나인 운동구와 사지와의 관계에 대한 실험적 증거를 제시하고자 시행하였다. 위의 실험에서 얻어진 결과는 아래와 같다. 1. 안면신경의 측두지, 하지를 지배하는 신경 (좌골신경) 및 상지를 지배하는 신경 (요골, 측골, 정중신경) 에서 투사된 공통된 영역은 척수에서 경수의 층판 1-IV, 흉수의 intermediolateral nucleus(IML), dorsal nucleus(D) 및 층판 X, 요수의 층판 IV, V, 천수의 층판 IV, V, IX, X 등의 영역에서 관찰되었고, 뇌줄기에서는 caudoventrolateral reticular nucleus(CVL), nucleus solitary tract(Sol), rostroventrolateral nucleus(RVL), area postrema(AP), raphe nuclei(raphe pallidus, raphe obscurus, raphe magnus), inferior olivary nucleus 의 등쪽부분 (gigantocellular reticular nucleus, Gi), Kolliker-Fuse nucleus(KF), central gray(CG), dorsal raphe nucleus (DR) and A5 영역에 표지된다. 또한 paraventricular hypothalamic nucleus(PRV) 와 lateral hypothalamic reticular nucleus(LH)에서도 관찰되고 locus coeruleus(LC) 와 subcoeruleus nuc!eus(SubCA) 에서도 관찰된다.

  • Hydrogen is one of energy storage systems, which could be transfer from electric energy to chemical energy or from chemical energy to electric energy, and is as an energy carrier. Water electrolysis is being investigating as one of the hydrogen production methods. Recently, water electrolysis receive attention for the element technology in PTG (power to gas) and PTL (power to liquid) system. In this paper, it was explained the principle and type for the water electrolysis, and recent research review for the alkaline water electrolysis.

  • Spinal adhesive arachnoiditis is an inflammation and fibrosis of the subarachnoid space and pia mater caused by infection, trauma, spinal vascular anomalies, and iatrogenic (surgery and/or puncture). Adhesive arachnoiditis develops various symptoms and signs (gait disturbances, radiating pain, paralysis, and incontinence). On the other hand, adhesive arachnoiditis associated with cauda equina syndrome has not been reported in Korea until now. The authors experienced cauda equina syndrome caused by adhesive arachnoiditis of the lumbar spine with satisfactory results following decompression. We report this case with a review of the relevant literature.

반도체 공정용 소재 및 부품 성능 평가 연구

  • 메모리 반도체 세계 시장 점유율 1위 뿐만 아니라 국내 전체 산업 가운데 가장 중추적인 역할을 하는 반도체 산업의 지속적인 성장과 국가 경제의 발전을 위해서 소자 업체 뿐만 아니라 장비, 소재, 부품 산업의 동반 성장은 반드시 필요하다. 그 중에서 특히 소재, 부품 산업을 발전시키는 것이 국산 반도체 장비의 시장 점유율이 낮은 현 시점에서 가장 필요한 선택이다. 반도체 소재, 부품 산업의 발전을 위해서 제일 먼저 해야할 일은 영세한 국내 반도체 소재, 부품 산업을 활성화 시키는 것이며, 지속 적인 연구 개발, 성능 평가 방안 확보, 수요 업체와의 연계 방안 확보 등이 주요 현안이다. 반도체 소자 업체, 장비 업체에서 원하는 소재 및 부품의 성능을 만족하는 제품을 만들기 위해서는 우선 소재 및 부품의 기본 특성을 만족하는지에 대한 평가가 필요하고, 더 나아가서는 디바이스의 특성을 만족시켜줄 수 있는 한 단계 상향된 수요자의 요구 조건을 만족 시켜줄 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 그 중 특히 중요한 요소인 성능 평가에 대해서 논하고자 한다. 우선 반도체 공정용 소재에 대해서 살펴 보면 대표적인 반도체 소재로 증착용 Precursor, Photo Resistor, Sputter Target 등이 있다, 평가 방법으로는 ALD용 Precursor의 경우 대기 노출시 폭발, 화염 발생 등의 위험 요소를 안고 있어 특별한 주의가 요구 된다. PR이나 Sputter Target은 상대적으로 위험성은 적으며, 다양한 성능 평가 들이 가능하다. 다음으로 부품 평가에 대해서 살펴 보자. 본 원에서 가장 많이 진행된 부품 평가는 개발된 Pump의 성능 평가이다. 개발된 Pump는 1차적으로 KRISS 진공센터 에서 기본 Pumping 능력 평가를 실시하고, 다음으로 공정 평가를 실시한다. Pump마다 특성이 달라서 각 펌프의 성능 평가에 적합한 공정과 장비를 우선 선정하고 그에 합당한 공정을 진행하여 평가를 실시한다. 고 진공용인 Cryo Pump는 순수한 물질의 증착이 중요한 Metal Sputter 공정 장비에 장착하여 공정용 Gas를 흘리면서 Pump의 구동에 따른 성능 평가를 하고, 다음으로 실제로 Metal Sputter를 실시해서 Wafer에 증착된 물질의 특성을 확인한다. 다음으로 Turbo Pump의 경우 Etch 장비에 장착하여 Etch Uniformity, Etch Rate, By-product 배출 정도에 대해서 평가를 한다. Dry Pump는 비교적 공정 압력이 낮은 PECVD 공정 장비에서 평가를 진행 한다. 마지막으로 공정 진단, 챔버 상태 진단 등을 할 수 있는 별도의 부품 또는 장치로 PBMS, PCDS, OES 등의 평가에 대해서 논한다. 본 장치들은 실제 반도체 공정 장비와 환경에서 평가가 되어야지만 최종 사용자 입장에서 신뢰를 가지고 결과에 대해서 접근할 수 있다. 위에 논의된 장치들은 현재 공정 장비에 부착되어서 판매 되고 있는 것이 아니라 수요가 많지 않으나, 자체 성능 개선과 적합한 평가를 통해서 장치의 성능이 인정되면 300 mm 이상 Wafer 공정에서 반드시 필요한 실시가 공정 진단을 위해서 폭발적인 수요를 창출할 수 있으리라 본다.

Electrophoretic Analysis on the Protein Alteration in the Brain of Actylamide Administered Mouse (Acrylamide 에 의한 생쥐 뇌단백질의 변화양상에 관한 전기영동적 분석)

  • To investigate the neurological effect of acrylamide, whole brain of Intoxicated mouse induced early hindlimbs ataxia was examined by using the methods of SDS-PAGE and two-dimensional electrophoresis. In the gel patterns by SDS-PAGE, when the patterns of each group were compared relatively, there were no remakable changes but in the patterns of 2D-PAGE, some protein alterations were observed. Especially, the spots containing 20 (14,500, 5.64) and 21 (19,900, 6.78) were disappeared, and the spots 9 (31,300, 5.82), 11 (31,300, 5.36) and 19 (16,400, 5.42) showed marked decrease relatively in the case of treatment group. Among these changed spots, the spot 20 (14,500, 5.64) showed higher quantity than that of control group but several spots containing the spots 11 (31,300, 5.36), and 19(16.400, 5.42) were identical or equal to those of control In quantity in the case of recovery group. It seems that acrylamide might already inhibit the brain protein synthesis mechanism at the time of onset of distal neuropathy by participation in the protein metabolism so as to impair the brain regulation ability followed by a malfunction of mouse central nervous system (CNS) and recovery is gradually progressed with the dose and duration dependence after the cessation of acrylamide administration.
