A Comparison of the Teachers' Awareness about the Importance of Job Performing Abilities from National Competency Standards (국가직무능력표준(NCS)의 보육교사 직무수행능력에 대한 운영주체에 따른 보육교사의 중요도 인식 비교)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the awareness of daycare teachers by the nursery school operation performance of the National Competency Standards(NCS). For this purpose, 35 public and private daycare center, home daycare centers and corporation daycare center teachers were randomly sampled in Busan Metropolitan City. We conducted a questionnaire consisting of 230 sub-elements based on 45 sub-competency unit elements extracted from 12 areas of job ability of the national competence standards. Final questionnaires were collected from 117 questionnaires of 28 national daycare teachers, 30 private daycare teachers, 30 home daycare teachers, and 29 corporation daycare teachers. As a result, there was a difference in the awareness of importance among the four groups in all 12 performance capability units. For the 12 job performance units, the importance was recognized in the order of corporate daycare center, national daycare center, home daycare center, and private daycare center. Among them, "Establishment of Child Care Center Management Policy", "Construction of Child Care Service", "Child Care Activity Management", "Infant and Child Playing Guide", "Body and Art Activity Guidance", "Language, Nutritional guidance" there were no differences in the awareness of the importance of corporate daycare teachers and national daycare teachers, and there was no difference between national daycare teachers and home daycare teachers. However, there was a difference between corporate daycare teachers and home daycare teachers.. There is also a difference in the awareness of importance between home daycare teachers and private daycare teachers. In the remaining five job competence units, "Child Care Assessment", "Support for Infant and Toddler Development", "Cooperation with the Home and Community", "Child Care Management", and "Child Care Research", corporation daycare centers, national daycare centers. There was no statistically significant difference in the awareness of importance, but there was a significant difference from the private daycare teachers. Also this tendency was consistently observed in 45 sub-capacity unit elements.

  • 물리적 파괴력을 가진 하천의 유수 및 토사가 주택, 농경지, 시설 등에 피해를 입히는 것을 방지하거나 저감하기 위해서는 홍수방어 및 조절 계획에 따라 구조적 대책과 비구조적 대책을 적절히 강구해야 한다. 구조적 대책 중에서도 제방은 기본적이고도 중요한 역할을 차지한다. 하천제방이 붕괴되었을 때 발생하는 홍수범람구역의 정확한 추정과 홍수파가 제내지에서 거동하는 양상을 파악하는 것은 홍수피해를 저감하는 데 있어서 매우 중요한 과제이다. 이는 홍수전에는 치수사업 계획시 좀더 정확한 경제성 분석을 하는데 필요한 입력자료와 효율적인 계획수립에 있어서 그 범위를 결정하는 중요한 역할을 하며, 홍수시에는 신속한 대피를 유도하고, 긴급한 수방대책을 수립하는데 적용할 수 있기 때문이다. 제내지 범람 홍수파에 대한 수치해석은 여러 차례 수행된 바 있으나, 범람홍수파의 수리특성 규명이나 수치모형 검증을 위한 수리실험은 거의 수행되지 않은 것으로 알려져 있다. 제방붕괴의 원인에 따라 붕괴형태나 과정은 많은 차이를 보이겠으나 제방이 붕괴되는 과정에서 홍수류가 제내지로 어떠한 양상으로 유입되는지를 분석하기 위하여 국내외에서 수행된 실험을 분석한 후, 제내지 범람 수리실험 방안을 수립하였다. 본 논문은 제방붕괴에 의한 홍수범람에 대한 대피체계를 설립하기 위한 기초자료를 제공학기 위해 수행되었으며, 수리실험은 홍수터에서 홍수의 거동을 연구하기 위해 실시되었다. 본 논문에서는 제방붕괴와 홍수터에서의 홍수파 유속, 최대수심, 수면곡선의 관계에 대하여 연구하였다.

A Study on the Importance and Satisfaction of Airline Service Quality (항공사 서비스 품질의 중요도와 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • This paper investigates passengers' perceptions of the importance and satisfaction of airline service quality for improving the quality level of airline service. Importance-performance analysis(IPA) was utilized to analyze the gap between importance and performance of airline service qualify The result showed that passengers' perceptions of the importance and performance of airline service quality differed for Korean international air passengers. In particular, IPA analysis revealed that four attributes 'meal service', 'seating comfort', 'seat space and legroom', 'check-in service' were identified in the Concentrate Here quadrant-perceived to be important, yet perceived as being performed poorly. The airlines operating from/to the Republic of Korea should concentrate on the attributes included in this quadrant to improve the quality of airline service. On the basis of the IPA analysis, airlines should identify their strengths and weaknesses and draw up a plan to maximize their profits.

Relations among Foodservice Quality between Customer Loyalty of High School Students in Busan Area (부산지역 일부 고등학생들의 급식서비스 품질과 고객충성과의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was the improvement of satisfaction for school foodservice customers through analysis of the importance and performance of school foodservice quality and the understanding what factors affected customer's loyalty. The questionnaire was distributed to three hundred students at five high schools in Busan. Students evaluated the factors of importance and performance, the order of importance was sanitation> food> service and then, the order of performance was sanitation> service> food. Gap analysis resulted 4.39 for importance factors and 2.51 for performance factors; importance scores were higher than performance scores at all areas (p<0.01) and the sanitation factor gap was the biggest gap compared to all others. Each factor's analysis resulted that the gap analysis order was taste> balance of main & sub side dish> diversity of food in food area, quick react to customer complaint> reflection of customer proposal and recommendation> provide better service than competitor in service area, sanitation of food> cleanness of tableware> cleanness of container in sanitation area. The average score of customer's loyalty was 1.66 and female' score was significantly higher than male (p<0.001). Food, service and sanitation had a significant correlation to customer's loyalty than service (p<0.01), food (p<0.05), and sanitation (p<0.05) affected customer's loyalty significantly. So, intensive control is needed in the sanitation area which had the highest gap analysis result between importance and performance in food service. Especially, service factor was very important in explaining customer's loyalty, so service improvement through training is needed to improve student's satisfaction.

Educational Needs and Self-Assessment for Competency of Newly Employed Therapists Using Sensory Integration Intervention (감각통합 중재를 사용하는 초임치료사의 교육요구도 및 역량에 대한 자기평가)

  • Objective : This study aimed to investigate the importance, performance, and educational needs of sensory integration intervention competency for newly employed therapists who use sensory integration intervention. Methods : The general characteristics, importance, performance, and educational needs of sensory integration intervention competency were investigated for therapists with less than three years of experience in sensory integration intervention. Educational needs and rankings were identified through Borich needs analysis. Results : The competency cluster that newly employed therapists perceived as the most important but with the lowest performance level was "Expertise," and the demand of the "Expertise" competency cluster was also the highest in the analysis of educational needs. The difference in importance and performance in all sub-competencies was statistically significant. In the Borich needs analysis, the rank of educational needs was derived as follows: "Evaluation skill" (5.56), "Analysis skill" (5.50), and "Overall knowledge of occupational therapy" (5.47). Conclusion : It was found that the newly employed therapist using sensory integration intervention recognized professional competency as the most important, while also recognizing that their professional competency was low. Accordingly, education to enhance professional competency was most needed. This study presented basic data for the direction of education to strengthen competency in consideration of the educational needs of newly employed therapists.

Parents' Opinions on Foodservices in Daycare Centers of Korea's Compensation and Welfare Service Institute (근로복지공단 보육시설의 급식 운영현황과 학부모대상 품질 만족도)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine parental perceptions on the importance, performance level, and satisfaction with foodservice quality at daycare centers in the Compensation and Welfare Service institute. The questionnaire was developed to measure thirty-two attributes of foodservice operations are administered to 598 parents and 23 foodservice supervisors from June 22, 2009 to July 10, 2009. The parents placed a high importance on the need for foodservices, earning 4.70 points out of 5 points. Their perceptions of foodservice quality menu, foodservice ingredients and effects, facilities, sanitation, and service scored even higher than performance. The overall satisfaction level for foodservice compared to performance was 4.33 and 4.03 points out of 5 points, respectively. Multiple regression analysis indicated that 98.6% of the variance in parents' overall satisfaction scores was explained by six dimensions.

Evaluation of Importance and Performance for Students and Employees about Sanitary Characteristics for High School Foodservice in Busan (부산지역 고등학교 학생과 급식종사자의 급식위생에 대한 중요도와 수행도 평가)

  • The evaluation of students and employees on the importance and the performance for sanitary characteristics in high school foodservices, was investigated. The questionnaires were administered to 379 students and 141 employees in 13 high school, in Busan and then the data evaluated by 5 scales method of Likert were statistically analyzed. The mean scores of the importance and the performance evaluated by students (4.26/3.24) were significantly (p<0.01) lower than those by employees (4.71/4.51). Both the students and the employees percepted that, among sanitary characteristics, cleanliness of meals was most important. The student assessed the performance of withdrawal of plate waste as lowest scores, however the employees assessed student's hygiene as lowest scores, among sanitary characteristics. The gap score of the student (-1.02) between the importance and performance for sanitary factor was higher than that of the employees (-0.02) in high school foodservice. The importance grid of students and employees revealed that the items of tray cleanliness, dining table cleanliness, restaurant cleanliness, and handwashing before serving were high scores to the students, but low scores to the employees. The performance grid of students and employees revealed that the items of tray cleanliness, dining table cleanliness, restaurant cleanliness, the sanitation of treatment process of Plate waste, cleanliness of utensils of platewaste, not touch utensils before serving, handwashing before serving, handwashing before eating and not touch inside of tray were low scores to both the students and the employees. Therefore, it is suggested that the sanitary operations for dining place, treatment process of plate waste and the student's hygiene might have to increase in high school foodservice.

Secondary School Home Economics Teachers´ Educational Needs Analysis on Teaching Competency (중등학교 가정과 교사의 교수 능력에 관한 교육 요구 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to general needs and identify the educational needs for teaching competency of home economics teachers. based on their perception on teaching competency revealed in Previous studies. Data were collected from 1,104 schools selected by stratified sampling. based on school district, ranking and size. The 616 items of survey materials were collected from 417 schools and the levels of importance and performance were measured on Likert scale with 7- and 5- points, respectively. The analysis reveled that the educational needs for improving teaching competency were high in the following three areas out of seven areas. 1) interfacing ability with the local community and diverse human resources. 2) ability managing space and materials for learning 3) ability diversifying lesson development and evaluation ability. In addition. diversifying and professionalizing present development program for home economics teachers made higher score than improving education program for home economics teachers. These two needs of teachers showed significant differences according to their educational experiences and foundation types of their schools.
