A study measuring university educational service quality using importance-satisfaction transformed index (중요도-만족도 변환지수를 이용한 대학 교육서비스 품질 측정 연구)

  • Today, as the number of applicants for admission decreases, competition among universities is deepening in Korea. Especially, the existence of local universities has led to intense competition to increase the enrollment rate of new students and reduce dropout rate. To survive in this competition, local universities are making various efforts; however, the primary problem is improving their educational service quality. In this study, we have developed a device to measure educational service quality which can be applied to the field of higher education, and factors that determine educational service quality are dragged through this device. In addition, this research identifies which statistically significant factors play a part in overall satisfaction and word of mouth effect, and interprets 29 quality attributes using importance-satisfaction transformed index.

  • This study examines the university students majoring in culinary arts to survey the recognition levels of culinary arts education for the purpose of searching for a development plan for culinary education. A survey was conducted to 407 students in a cooking and food service program. To achieve the purpose of this study, SPSS 17.0, a statistics program, was used for a descriptive analysis, a frequency analysis, and a factor analysis. In this study, we have developed a device to measure educational service quality which can be applied to the place of higher education, and factors that determine educational service quality are dragged through this device. In addition, this research identifies which statistically significant factors play a part in overall satisfaction and interprets 26 quality attributes using importance-satisfaction transformed index. The interest and necessity of culinary arts education was very high while the performance degree was considered insufficient. In conclusion, if chances are given to display achievement of desire self-directly through increasing practical training, development and application of various programs, operation of open practice classes and curriculum organization reflecting social changes in the education courses, the culinary arts education will be considered to be more vitalized.

Result that analyze Two-way ANOVA satisfaction difference of environment design of group by satisfaction of the primary and the secondary design group is high in 8 all dimensions of CPTED, and satisfaction by appeared satisfaction high in group less than natural access control, 2 years of natural surveillance, and reciprocal action effect that go with group is high satisfaction in 2 years low in The secondary design group more than the primary and the secondary design group of systematic access control and natural access control, and the primary and the secondary design group appeared high in subgroup of 2 remainders. Satisfaction difference by group by crime prevention effort satisfaction of the primary and the secondary design group is high in 8 all dimensions of CPTED, and satisfaction difference by crime prevention effort appeared satisfaction high in 'A prize' group to The secondary design group, and reciprocal action efficiency is high in 'A prize' group in The secondary design group more than the primary and the secondary design group in mechanical access control, systematic access control, natural access control, territoriality reinforcement, and satisfaction of 'Between' and 'Very' group appeared high in the primary and the secondary design group.
