Characteristics of Generation and Propagation of Relativistic Electron Beam and Pulsed Plasma at Sub-Torr Pressure

  • 본 연구는 상대론적 전자빔(300kV, 20KA, 60ns)과 펄스플라즈마의 발생 및 전파특성에 관한 것으로 세부 내용은 다음과 같다. Sub-Torr로 유지되는 다이오드에서 상대론적 전자빔의 발생이 이루어질 때 전자빔의 펄스너비 및 전류 상승시간을 다이오드 압력을 변인으로 하여 연구하였다. 펄스너비와 압력과의 관계식을 실험적으로 유도하였으며 다이오드 내에서 전자빔과 중성기체와의 충돌에 의한 기체이온화 모델로 설명하였다. 또한 Sub-Torr 도파관에서 상대론적 전자빔의 수송 특성을 연구하였으며 전자빔의 propagation window와 고압에서의 수송효율의 저하 원인을 밝혔다. 그리고 이 영역에서 매우 짧은 펄스 플라즈마의 형태로 형성되는 빔 유도 플라즈마채널의 이온밀도 및 conductivity를 진단하는 새로운 실험적 방법을 확립하였다. 한편 빔 수송효율 증대를 위한 한 방법으로 진공영역에서 지역화된 중성기체를 빔 선두부분에 위치시켜 지역적인 공간전하 중성화를 꾀하는 기법도 시험되었다. 마지막으로 중 출력(1kV, 10kA, 1ms) 규모의 자기플라즈마 동력학 장치를 제작하여 펄스 플라즈마를 발생시키고 그 특성을 조사하였다. 제작된 자기플라즈마 동력학 장치는 현재 기초과학 지원 연구소의 "한빛" 장치에 부착되어 초기 플라즈마 발생용으로 활용되고 있다.로 활용되고 있다.

  • Several factors of concrete durability decline factor are acted as complex deterioration and is happened not that happen by simplicity deterioration. Specially, in case of sea construction, as complex salt damage, carbonation and freezing & thawing, concrete surface and pore structure is deteriorated. Therefore, analyzing concrete carbonation and pore structure after freezing and thawing test by fresh water and sea water in this research, we wish to study about acceleration of decline of durability and complex deterioration by concrete surface deterioration in sea environment.

Durability of VA/E/MMA-Modified Mortars with Nitrite-Type Hydrocalumite (VA/E/MMA 터폴리머 분말수지와 아질산형 hydrocalumite를 병용한 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 내구성)

  • In this study, VA/E/MMA-modified mortars with nitrite-type hydrocalumite were prepared with various calumite contents and polymer binder-ratios, and tested for chloride ion penetration, carbonation and drying shrinkage. As a result, the chloride ion penetration and carbonation depths were somewhat increased with calumite contents, but those were remarkably decreased depending on the polymer-binder ratios. The 28-d drying shrinkage showed a tendency to increase with polymer-binder ratios and calumite contents. VA/E/MMA-Modified mortars with a calumite of 10 % were dissatisfied with KS requirements. Accordingly, a calumite content of 5 % for the VA/E/MMA-modified mortars with calumite is recommended.

실리콘 기판위의 증착된 AAO Barrier Layer의 $Cl_2/BCl_3$ Neutral Beam Etching

  • 본 연구에서는 실리콘 기판위의 형성된 AAO (Anodic Aluminum Oxide)의 barrier layer를 $Cl_2/BCl_3$ gas mixture에서 Neutral Beam Etching (NBE)과 Ion Beam Etching (IBE)로 각각 식각한 후 그 결과를 비교하였다. 이온빔의 경우 나노사이즈의 AAO pore의 charging에 의해 pore 아래쪽의 위치한 barrier layer를 어떤 식각조건에서도 제거하지 못하였다. 하지만, charging effect가 없고, 높은 중성화율을 나타내는 low angle forward reflected 방식의 neutral beam etching (NBE)에서는 $BCl_3$-rich $Cl_2/BCl_3$ gas mixture인 식각조건에서 AAO pore에 휘발성 $BO_xCl_y$를 형성하면서 barrier layer를 제거할 수 있었다.

Experimental Study on pH Reduction by Neutralization Treatment and Curing Methods of Porous Concrete for Planting (식생을 위한 다공성 콘크리트의 중성화 처리 및 양생방법에 따른 pH 저감에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • This study is performed to examine pH reduction by neutralization treatment and curing condition of porous concrete using rice straw ash for planting. Test results show that pH of porous concrete without neutralization treatment in the dry and water curing is 10.34 ∼ 10.57 and 9.42 ∼ 9.72, respectively. pH of porous concrete by neutralization treatment in the dry and water curing is 9.72 ∼ 10.03 and 9.00 ∼ 9.37, respectively. Accordingly, the best method for pH reduction of porous concrete for planting is to use water curing and neutralization treatment.

  • Coal ash is a by-product of the combustion of pulverized coal, and much of this is dumped in landfills. The disposal of coal ash is one of the major issues for environmental problems. In this paper, the effects of the kinds and replacement ratio of coal ash on the durabilities of concrete mixtures are investigated. Fine aggregate was replaced with coal ash(fly ash and bottom ash) in five different ratios, of 0%, 10%, 20%, 35%, and 50% by volume. Test results indicated that the compressive strength increased with the increase in fly ash percentage. The loss of compressive strength of bottom ash concrete mixes after immersion in sulphuric acid solution was less than in the control mix(BA0). In addition, the carbonation depth of fly ash concrete mixes was lower than the control mix(FA0).

An Experimental Study on the Neutralization of High-Flowable Concrete (고유동콘크리트의 중성화에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, study about fly ash and blast-furnace slag used as substitutive materials for cement, and the influence on the neutralization of high flow concrete durability with these substitutive materials was performed and analyzed. The results are as follows 1) Aggregate segregation was partially improved with the progress of the admixture input at the mix proportion above slump flow 65 cm 2) Compressive strength with the progress of the increasement of fly ash input was decreased in early age, but decrease range was improved in long term age. Also, in case of blast-furnace, similar or improved compressive strength was appeared. 3) The neutralization depth with fly ash input was noticeably increased. But blast-furnace slag was effective to prevent. 4) In this experiment, high powder content was advantageously affected on preventive effect of the neutralization, and the relationship between the compressive strength and the neutralization depth was inversely proportional.

  • According to the evaluation of basic properties and mechanical characteristics of polymer cement mortars that contain re-dispersible type polymer, in the case of fresh mortars, flow and air content were increased due to the dispersion action of entrained air and surfactant with an increase of polymer addition ratio. In the case of mortars after hardening, flexural strength, bonding strength, absorption rate and carbonation resistance were improved due to the increased union and waterproof characteristics of internal structures as a result of the formation of polymer film.

  • This study investigates the effect of a protective layer on the level of carbonation resistance of concrete. For the protective layer, a PE film, bubble sheets, double layered bubble sheets and styroform were placed in a mold before placing the concrete. In addition, PE film was retrofitted by attaching on the surface of the substrate concrete with a glue. Results showed that the carbonation depths of the control concrete were 4.6 mm and 5.2 mm at one week and two weeks exposure in an accelerated carbonation chamber, whereas the concrete with all types of protective layer except PE flim did not allow the ingress of carbon dioxide during the same period.

  • This paper summarized the safety diagnosis method in the field of durability among the structural safety suggested in the safety diagnosis manual of the reconstruction project and analyzed the safety diagnosis case. It is expected to be a reference material for safety diagnosis in the field of durability by pointing out cases that are wrong during existing safety diagnosis and cases where diagnostics are likely to make errors.
