A Study on the Cause of Death Accident between Cental & Southern Area Highways using Logistic Regression Analysis (로지스틱 회귀분석을 이용한 중부·남부 고속도로별 사망사고 원인 분석 및 비교에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 고속도로 40개선을 중부 남부 그룹으로 나누어 종단경사, 월별, 가해자연령구간 측면에서 사고 특성을 파악함으로써 유의하게 지역별 고속도로 사망사고를 높이는 요인을 분석하고자 했다. 조사된 노선 중 88올림픽선, 남해선, 호남선, 울산선 등을 포함한 18개 고속도로 노선을 남부 그룹으로, 경인선, 영동선, 서울외곽순환선 등을 포함한 11개 고속도로 노선을 중부 그룹으로 나누어 비교 분석 결과는 다음과 같았다. 고속도로에서의 사망사고 주요 원인의 비율 1위 과속, 2위 주시태만으로 비슷했으나 남부 고속도로 그룹은 요인 중 졸음에만 유의했다. 중부 고속도로 그룹에서도 졸음 시 유의하게 나타났으며 남부보다 오즈비가 1.22배 높게 나타났다. 추가로 중부 고속도로 그룹에서 주시태만(오즈비 1.477), 운전자기타(오즈비 0.347)이 유의하게 도출되었다.

A Study for Roughness of Joungbu Expressway (중부고속도로 평탄성 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Concrete pavement of Jungbu Expressway composed of CRCP(Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement) and JCP(Jointed Concrete Pavement). The CRCP was firstly constructed and applied to new expressway in Korea. It is a good source of the study to analyze the performance of CRCP and JCP because it experiences same amount of traffic and environmental loading. Up to the present, condition survey has conducted several times during 13 years but roughness measurement has not been carefully conducted. Through comparisons among several types of pavement(CRCP, JCP, Asphalt) by roughness, CRCP is superior to JCP. In addition, connected sections in the highway such as bridges and tunnels that have higher IRI values, about 5mm/m, than normal sections should be considered appropriated maintenance such as diamond grinding. The relationship between IRI and distresses carried out by Korea Highway Cooperation in 1999 skewed that the number of crack is related to IRI value in JCP, while other distresses of JCP and CRCP are not shown clearly. The comparison study with IRI values between Jungbu Expressway and GPS-3(JCP) and GPS-5(CRCP) of LTPP data also showed that roughness of Jungbu Expressway is not inferior to that of the state. Some of section showed larger values of IRI are linked with under-9round structures for passages and drainages. The overall performance considering only roughness, the CRCP is also superior to JCP in sections with under-ground tunnels.

  • 청정한 오지로 불리는 문경새재는 2004년 말 영동고속도로 여주분기점과 경부고속도로 김천을 잇는 중부내륙고속도로의 개통으로 서울과 대구 등지에서 2시간대로 닿는다. 영남 예순여섯 고을 사람들이 수백 년을 밟아 다져놓은 미로 같은 고갯길과 산속 원주민들이 숙명처럼 먹었다는 도토리묵과 묵조밥이 옛 그대로 전해져온다.

  • In 1980s, a number of bridges with bare concrete deck were constructed on the Korea highway. After 20 years service, many bare concrete decks are still in good condition without special maintenance activity. Therefore, the application of the bare concrete deck is being reestimated from the view of construction and maintenance. As a part of the program, the characteristic of penetration(surface chloride and apparent diffusion coefficient) of de-icing salt into bare concrete bridge deck was analyzed in order to predict the service life of bridge on Korea highway.

Locational Characteristics of Venture Industry in the Chungbuk Region (충북지역 벤처산업의 입지적 특성)

  • Recently, the venture industry in Korea has grown so rapidly because of the economic restructuring and the governmental inducement policies. This study first attempts to investigate the governmental policies for venture business development. Secondly, this study probes into the characteristics and the locational conditions of the venture business in the Chungbuk region. Lastly, this study tries to formulate the policies to develop the venture industry in the Chungbuk region. This study finds that the governmental inducement policies for venture business are various and extensive. From the cross-sectional and spatial-distributional analyses of venture business statistics for the Chungbuk region, it is found that the most venture businesses in the Chungbuk region are concentrated in the manufacturing sector rather than the information technology sector and they are geographically concentrated around the Joongbu expressway. Since the vicinity of the Joongbu expressway provides fast access to the capital region and cheap land, many manufacturing firms have moved from the capital region to that area in the Chungbuk region.
