Construction of Distribution Information System for Recovery and Management of used Parts of an Automobile (자동차 중고부품 회수 및 관리를 위한 물류정보시스템 구축)

  • Until now, used parts of automobiles necessary for the remake of automobiles have been recovered from auto repair shops. But it takes much time and cost to collect those parts because the recovery system has not been set up. Furthermore. used parts from auto junk yards have rarely been used for the remaking. This current situation will improve by adopting DISRMPA(Distribution Information System for Recovery and Management of used Parts of Automobiles) designed by the author. Auto repair shops or junk yards input the information of used parts to make a database in the system. Remaking companies use the database to find and recover used parts. The DISRMPA can help prepare stabilized ways to supply used parts.

  • In order to review the End-of Life Vehicle(ELV) recycling system and recycling business of dismantlers in Japan, scheme of the automobile recycling law, status of ELV recycling, exports of used cars, ELV marketing business of dismantler and upgrading of used parts net work were studied. On the other hand, field survey in details for dismantling works were conducted at West-Japan Auto Recycling Co.. Although the ELV recycling system has been operating smoothly without any noticeable trouble, recycling business is running under severe circumstance. Exports of used cars have been increasing day by day through worldwide 176 countries. Finally, reuse parts of ELV concerning innovation marketing was discussed.

  • The scale of repair parts market reached 0.1 billion won. Above all, it is remarkable that the automotive insurance business world is paying f3r 40 ~5o% of the whole repair cost. The repair parts consist of a genuine parts, non-genuine parts, recycling used parts. It is the recent trend that recycled parts are more popular than the genuine parts f3r repairing crashed cars due to the cost. Performance of recycled continuous velocity(CV) joints and power steering(PS) gear box as replacement parts was tested and analysed in this study. To examine the durability of the recycled parts, the replaced CV joints and PS gear box after repair were tested and analysed periodically. The results were showed that basic performance of the recycled parts was normal. However the ball cage of CV joints was more frequently damaged than genuine parts. We concluded that a test standard and amendment of related laws for recycled parts is required to get a safe and durable parts.

  • In this paper, it was performed to protect the remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile part and grasp the latest tendency of remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile part for development of remanufacturing technology and economical support of government. Research on the present statue of the remanufacturing industry was indicated that the number of remanufacture enterprises about automobile part, the annual, the number of employee in remanufacture and the type of remanufacturing. The general problems were presented which blocked the activities of domestic automobile part. It was also presented that problem of remanufacturing technology side and quality assurance of remanufactured automobile part and found out solution.

  • This study is aimed at compare and evaluate the environmental impact of End-of-Life Vehicle(ELV) on the eco-friendly technology dismantling and recycling system, using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method. In this study, it was analyzed for the environmental impacts of raw materials, disassemble process, recycle parts separation and waste treatment into the process of ELV treatment by greenhouse gas and resource consumption, etc. Through this study, the indoor rail type dismantling technology were recycling rate applied on the alternate system was increased by approximately 8%. As a result, it was 3 to 88% by improving the environmental impact category. In addition, the added benefit of approximately 8 - 62% in pre-market occurred through the recycling rate, improve parts reuse rate of ELV. Through the results of this study, legal compliance, improved reuse and recycling ratio, used parts market reach, enable exports has identified the need for the effort that the dissemination and diffusion of eco-friendly technology.
