  • Single Photon Emission Computed tomography(SPECT) was performed on 13 healthy adults (average age: 39) to investigate the changes of cerebral blood flow according to brain imaging analysis algorithm. The acquired images were filtered and reconstructed through Filtered Back Projection (FBP) and Ordered Subset Expectation Maximization (OSEM). The brain distribution data of radiopharmaceuticals were compared using Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM), and the changes of blood flow was expressed in Cluster. As a result, uptake rate was increased in Sub-gyral, Sub-Lobar, Extra-Nuclear, Limbic lobe and Cingulate Gyrus, while uptake rate was decreased in Middle frontal gyrus, Inferior Frontal Gyrus and Precentral Gyrus. The discriminable SPM was shown according to cerebral blood flows in Cluster by the reconstruction algorithm.

  • The principal objective of this study is to assess the hierarchical effects of defects on the elastic stiffness properties at different levels of observation. In particular, quantitative damage measures which characterize the fundamental mode of degradation in the form of elastic damage provide quite insightful meanings at the level of constitutive relations and at the level of structures. For illustration, a total of three model problems of increasing complexity, a 1-D bar structure, a 2-D stress concentration problem, and a heterogeneous composite material made of a matrix with particle inclusions. Considering a damage scenario for the particle inclusions the material system degrades from a composite with very stiff inclusions to a porous material with an intact matrix skeleton. In other damage scenario for the matrix, the material system degrades from a composite made of a very stiff skeleton to a disconnected assembly of particles because of progressive matrix erosion. The trace-back and forth of tight bounds in terms of the reduction of the lowest eigenvalues are extensively discussed at different levels of observation.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the technique of modal changes and its performance effect in Manjeong Kim, So-hui's pansori "Chunghyangga" at the portion of jungmori. It is because Manjeong-style "Chunghyangga" effectively presents dramatic scenes, role changes and emotional variations through modal changes of pansori. In this study, such two songs as and in jungmori were examined and study findings are as follows: Modal changes always reflected dramatic scenes, role changes, situational alterations and emotional variations. In addition, all the transpositions of the two songs were related to geunchin-jo and euddeumeum-jo. In , the technique of modal changes was intensively used in the latter half of the song, whereas in , it was used from the middle portion of the song. All of these uses of modal changes resulted in an excellent performance effect, which was musically expressed in order to discriminate it from the portion of role changes or explanations.

  • Current flight maneuver diagram used by pilots is based on 2D spatial presentation, so it has limitation on display 3D flight information and hard to understand it instinctively. Flight animation authoring tools for this diagram are complex to use and lack useful features like non-linear editing of flight path and real-time interactivity on multiple aircrafts. This research focuses on 3D flight path generation method in the animation system for flight maneuver education. This research combines initial sketch input on 2D diagram with the thrust of an aircraft to generate 3D linear spline as close as to real flight. Using suggested linear spline creation method, the flight path can be visualized, edited, and animated in real-time at the flight maneuver briefing and debriefing.

  • A new High level hardware Description Language, ASPHODEL(Algorithm Synthesis Pascal Hardware for Optimal Design and Efficient Language), and its algorithm compiler for high level synthesis are described in this paper. The new HDL, appropriated to the description of algorithmic level and lower, models VLSI circuits as an abstracted block which is consisted of input/output ports and hierachical processors to control VLSI complexities with efficiency. Also, in order to improve the descriptive power, popular Pascal programming language is modified to build ASPHODEL syntax rules. ASPHODEL algorithm compiler generates an intermediate form through lexical and syntax analysis from ASPHODEL source codes. To show the validation of presented language and its compiler, those are applied to practical design examples.

  • Drosophila melanogaster, D. simulans, and D. sechellia are closely related species which belong to the D. melanogaster complex; the first two cosmopolita and the last one restricted to th Seychelles archipelago. The phenogenetical relationship between this complex and their hybrids were investigated by the comparison of sex-comb tooth number an genital arch of male. In interspecific hybrids of all crosses between three species four hybrid males were produced and completely sterile. Males of D. simulans (${O}_{9}$) have significantly less sex-comb teeth (mean 8.35) than either D. melanogaster (OR, mean 10.73) and D. sechellia (Ja, mean 10.60). From the analysis by the number of sex-comb tooth in interspecific hybrids we could not represent the direction of heredity nature. each species of D. melanogaster complex were characteristic in the shape of the genital arch, which readily allows these species to be distinguished. The common structure of the genital arch in the interspecific hybrids were mosaic-like structure between parental species.

  • Software internationalization, the process of making software easier to localize for specific languages, has deep implications when applied to speech technology, where the goal of the task lies in the very essence of the particular language. A greatdeal of work and fine-tuning has gone into language processing software based on ASCII or a single language, say English, thus making a port to different languages difficult. The inherent identity of a language manifests itself in its lexicon, where its character set, phoneme set, pronunciation rules are revealed. We propose a decomposition of the lexicon building process, into four discrete and sequential steps. For preprocessing to build a lexical model, we translate from specific language code to unicode. (step 1) Transliterating code points from Unicode. (step 2) Phonetically standardizing rules. (step 3) Implementing grapheme to phoneme rules. (step 4) Implementing phonological processes.

  • This study was designed to gain insight to adopt CAS into secondary level algebra education in Korea. Most inactive usage of calculators in math and most negative effects of calculators on their achievements of Korean students were shown in International studies such as TIMSS-R. A comparative study was carried out with consideration of mathematical backgrounds and technological environments. 8 Korean students and 26 US students in Grade 11 were participated in this study. Subjects' Problem solving process and their strategies of CAS usage in classical Box-problem with CAS were analyzed. CAS helped modeling by providing symbolic manipulation commands and graphs with students' mathematical knowledge. Results indicates that CAS requires shifts focus in algebraic contents: recognition of decimal & algebraic presentations of numbers; linking various presentations, etc. The extent of instrumentation effects on the selection of problem solving strategies among Korea and US students. • The materials used in the title sequence connotes a style & a content of film comprehensively. Therefore, the effect of emotional expression can be changed according to what materials are selected. Thus, the materials of which 42 title sequences are collected for the last 10 years are classified, and the category of materiality & material degree are defined with the semiotic rectangle. To investigate intensity of the material degree, the survey was done. As a result of the survey, the intensity was classified into 3 levels of material degree. The category of materiality used according to the genre of film was analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the materiality was selected according to the content regardless of genre, but there's any difference in the material degree. The intense material degree was used in a thriller and an SF mystery genre, and the medium one was used in the general genre, but, above all, drama and action genre. The weak one was used in a variety of genre, but specifically horror, SF mystery genre. It is significant that this study suggested the expression method in accordance with selection of materials in producing a title sequence to visualize film symbolically.

  • When producing a wireless web contents by using wire web contents for PC environment, we should consider how to represent lots of information being suitable with PC environment to wireless devices having narrow performance. Therefore, we propose mobile page editor for manager to select and modify specific contents with the existing wire web page. Also, we try to define an intermediate language based on DID(Digital Item Declaration) of MPEG-21 multimedia framework which defines source of converting information and wireless web contents generating at mobile editor in considering real time service problem when transcoding multimedia information in a web server into wireless device having low resolution, narrow performance of media process, memory, and so on.
