  • 본 연구에서는 제철, 제강공정에서 많이 사용하고 있는 C22FR1.4형의 주형을 상사적으로 축소시킨 주철제(GC25) 주형에 순알루미늄(순도99%)의 주물을 용입하여 응고 및 냉각 과정의 주물 및 주철제 주형에 미치는 열의 영향에 관하여 2차원 비정상 열전도 문제를 경계요소법으로 해석하고 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, Crack molding method called "Teflon crack Molding Method" is developed. With help of this method, we can mold a crack which is very similar to the natural crack, which has the tip radius of about 20.mu. the vertical and horizontal quality of crack excellent. In addition to these, by using this method in photoelastic experiment we can obtain the clear crack tip location and Isochromatic fringe pattern boundary, therefore the precise in the experimental data can be improved. improved.

  • When laser interference method is used to measure stress intensity factor with experiment, crack molded from teflon crack molding method is better than the crack manufactured through fatigue test. It is known that center distance between two indentations which is best for detecting the laser interference fringe order is about 80.mu.m with photodetector used in this research. Errors with measurement of stress intensity factor through laser interference are between 2% and 11%, therefore, experimental process and method developed in this research can be used with obtaining the more precision experimental data for stress intensity factors.

  • A rational method for determination of initial cable forces in cable-stayed bridges without complicated nonlinear analysis is presented. Initial shape analysis for cable-stayed bridges should be able to find optimizated initial cable forces and unstrained length that minimize deflection and vending moments of the deck and pylon. A presented method utilizing the idea of force equilibrium organizes initial shape analysis for each types of cable-stayed bridges. The results of that analysis were compared to several existing methods for 2D numerical examples. And for 3D actual bridges, the improved TCUD method was performed to demonstrate the accuracy of this study.

  • The solidification rate is of special importance in determining the casting structures and properties. The heat transfer characteristics at the interface between the mold and the casting is one of the major factors that control the solidification rate. The thermal resistance exists due to the air-gap formation at the mold/casting interface during the freezing process. In this study two-dimensional Stefan problem with air-gap resistance in the rectangular mold is considered and the heat transfer characteristics is numerically examined by using the enthalpy method. The effects of the major parameters, such as mold geometry, thermal conductivity, heat transfer coefficient, and initial temperature of casting, on the thermal characteristics are investigated.

  • 본 연구는 주형의 형상에 관계없이 균일한 건조성능을 가지는 장치의 도입을 목적으로 Microwave를 이용한 주형건조장치 개발을 위한 기초 연구에 관한 것이다. 건조 성능의 검토를 위해 진공건조기와 Lab-scale의 Microwave 출력장치를 가지는 Microwave oven을 이용하여 주물사의 무게별, 건조시간별 건조효율을 검토하였으며, $CO_2$주형법에서 물유리의 양과 $CO_2$통기시간에 따른 주형의 압축강도를 측정하였다.

An Improved Method for Initial Shape Analysis of Cable-Stayed Bridges (사장교의 개선된 초기형상 해석법)

  • The extended tangent stiffness matrices and force-deformation relations of the elastic catenary element were initially derived through the addition of the unstrained length of cables to unknown nodal displacements. A beam-column element was then introduced to model the deck and pylon of cable-stayed bridges. The conventional geometric nonlinear analysis, initial force method, and TCUD method were summarized, with an effective method combining two methods presented to determine the initial shapes of cable-stayed bridges with dead loads. In this combined method, TCUD method was applied to eliminate vertical and horizontal displacements at cable-supported points of decks and on top of pylons, respectively. The initial force method was also adopted to eliminate horizontal and vertical displacements of decks and pylons, Finally, the accuracy and validity of the proposed combined method were demonstrated through numerical examples.
